The fight with the Kondoq heats up. Alex has decided they must be stopped and takes steps to do just that. Meanwhile, Earth runs up against the Imperium again and they don't like what happens next.
I’ve held off on my brief review until I finished the entire series. In short, it’s a very nicely told story, interesting world building (literally) well developed and interesting characters and excellent space opera action.
That being said, there are a LOT OF SPELLING AND GRAMMATICAL ERRORS THAT pull YOU OUT OF THE STORYTELLING. Nothing that a second or third editing pass won’t solve but it will dramatically improve the reading .experience. It feels like the author was spilling his thoughts out onto the page, which does make the story flow but has a tendency to seem rushed when more detail would flesh out the tale.
And the author redeemed himself... Although I will say that the way the conversations jumped from one species to another it was very hard to follow... Guess I won't be reading any more of his books for awhile to give him a chance/time to figure out how to correct that problem.
There are several types of grammatical issues with this wonderful novel and series , but seriously ,I don't care. The story line is imaginative , the heroes are less than heroic , but it works ! If you enjoy Science Fiction and thoughts about our Universe you should read this series of novels.
The story flowed well, with excellent pacing. There were some editing problems, but I don't let such minor issues detract from my enjoyment of a story.
The story had a little bit of everything that readers of Space Opera would love.
The things that are stopping this book form being a 5 star book was the pace. It was to rushed, and the bond between the MC and his wife had so little impact on the story.
Excellent book. But… YOU NEED AN EDITOR. At least a proofreader. Someone who knows the difference between to, too, and two. And dozens of other errors that almost made me quit reading. Luckily you had a great story, so I stuck with it.
The grammatical errors and typos are very distracting. Basic stuff...to and too, seen and saw, punctuation. Come on guys!!! Step up your game! Good story!
The Nano Empire Series was a very enjoyable read. Imaginative and exciting with a balanced approach to both technology and warfare, neither aspect became tiresome or over explained.
