Sadie can reach into your mind to discover anything she chooses, change a memory, and much more. She swore long ago she would never again use her abilities to control or exploit another being. She doesn’t know why she has power over the mind, but those who discover her abilities flee from her. People fear what they don’t understand, so she hides her powers.

Billie can hear a conversation two blocks away and smell the neighbor's gardenias on your shoes. She notices everything in her surroundings and has physical strength and speed far surpassing any human’s. Beta of the local Wolf Pack and the second most powerful Wolf in the Pacific Northwest, she approaches life with confidence and pride.

Upon meeting, they discover a passionate and unusual connection between them that defies explanation. As their relationship quickly develops, they discover neither is an ordinary woman. Still they conceal those deeper truths about themselves, hiding their full nature from each other. Sadie lies for fear of rejection. Billie conceals the truth to keep a promise. In the dead of night, in fear for their lives, they must expose their secrets or die.

What could be more disturbing than discovering your girlfriend is a werewolf? Finding out you're even more fearsome ... and her Pack's sworn enemy. “Mages cannot be trusted.”

I've always loved to disappear inside of a book, recreating myself in a character for the duration of a story. When I discovered Madeleine L'Engle as a girl, science fiction took on a new depth. Only after reading The Lord of the Rings was she relegated to second favorite author. At different times in my life I've obsessed over the classics, historical fiction, biographies, philosophy and spirituality, science fiction and fantasy. Lately my preferences have focused on fantasy, particularly shapeshifters and magic hidden in our mundane world. Throw in an unusual romantic twist and I'm hooked.

Early on I began to create my own characters, spinning stories to express my dreams or to imagine fantastic experiences. Writing has always been a part of my life, but mostly I wrote for myself. Recently I decided to start sharing my stories with others. I'd been working on a fantasy romance off and on for a couple of years and decided to move it into a full-fledged novel series.

I published Psyche Moon last July and uploaded Psyche Honor this week. The twists and turns in Sadie and Billie's life and relationship are getting exciting! I'm anxious to share it.

I live a simple life, and that's exactly how I like it. Friends, family, art, writing, and community are my world. If I've been sitting at the computer for too long, my cat lays on my arms and growls at my twitching fingers. Billie's home is decorated with pieces inspired by local artists who have inspired me. I enjoy herbs and herb lore and spend time in the deserts and mountains around me. If you want to know how I feel about the wilds, look through Billie's eyes. She got it from me.

So I didn't love this one. I purchased all three because the reviews were good. I love werewolf books, but this one just didn't do it for me. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Just an okay read for me. I will be reading the others, because I purchased them and perhaps they will be better. A few sex scenes were poorly written, and a little awkward. Again, not an awful read but not great either.

The only con about the book is that it was too easy for them to feel the pull, to accept they could communicate and (believe it or not) I needed less sex and more talking about the situation. The plot feels inserted at the very end of the book and the problems that will arise in the future are clear.
I did like how Sadie went all “Dark Phoenix” for a moment but, as I read in another review, the werewolves and mind readers felt secondary to them falling in love in less than a week.

Wow. What a hidden gem I didn't know about this book was.... 4,5* from me.

I enjoy paranormal romances and I enjoy good erotica and this was like the perfect blend of the two for me to read. Although I didn't expect to be slaped with a lengthy sex scene in chapter two already, I didn't mind at all.
It is true that this is more on the insta-love side (but it doesn't bother me, because of the werewolf/mate aspect the connestion is always instant so it works, unlike in contemporary romance when conection like this just feel rushed).

I liked both characters and I especialy liked that when they found out about each other it happened organicaly, it was natural a nobody freaked out or broke up because of it, like it happenes in most of the supernatulal books, they accepted each other with love.
Some reader reviews say that there is too much sex and not enough action and while that is true, this book is part of a trilogy so I felt like book one focused on the relationship of Billie and Sadie, their building connection with some action at the end of the book, for it to be continued in the next one.

I liked everything about this book except one think that bothered me. ( minor spoiler ahead)........

I thought like the autor made Sadies past unnecesyrily shitty, like it was not enough thet she was adopted and then her adoptie parents rejected her after she come out to them, I had to find out later she was raped as well (I hate that, it's a big trigger for me and I was not happy about it) even thought Sadie never explicitly says it, it is heavily implied that it happened to her. And it just didn't sit with me well for the rest of the book. Also she already knew she could bend someones thoughts to make them do whatever she wanted so why couldn't she tell the rapist to leave her alone and go away (even tho she must have been terrified, I get that, she could have just push him away with her thoughts, she knew how).

Bur overall I loved this book and I definately recomend it to anyone who is in the mood for some spicy read with a supernatual aspects.

so far, so good

This was a good first introduction. Boy did things take off fast when Sadie met Billie. The magnetism with then from that very moment is how I imagine when someone meets their soulmate. You sort of know but not really knowing and then you talk about things and figure that’s what it must be. There is no denying that type of connection. They were smart about it. They never doubted or really questioned what was happening between them. They let it come and flow.

I can’t wait to read what happens next. Billie is my favorite MC thus far. I would love a Billie to the ends of time.

Not the best book it could have been but still good. Too much sex, insta-love and not enough action - although the action when it happens is well written the aftermath is anticlimactic. I am still not a fan of this werewolf pack deal with alphas, betas and so on, I think the werewolf should be a solitary monster, still I guess that is the modern take on the things.
have lined up the next one to read to see where the author takes us,

I my..., I cannot believe that this is trying to be a fantasy werewolf book. It is not. Was the werewolf-business, the mind-reading business important? Not one bit, I don't get it, why it was there at all.

This is a lesbian erotica. It might have gotten more appreciation if it had been marketed as such.
If that is your jam, I do recommend it.

2.75. Honestly, this book was short and sweet. Lots of sex and did it have the most mind bending plot, absolutely not but was it engaging, absolutely yes. Like if you want to read about lesbians, wolves and mages… this book is for you 🫣. Thank me (and Nadia) later!! 😘

Will I be purchasing and reading the second book… also yes 😭

Most people don't know there are paranormals walking amongst them, they think that is all just fairy tales. They don't realise that werewolves are very real and there are people that like to take control of them and use them to their advantage. Well meet Sadie and Billie.

Sadie can read people's thoughts and sense peoples feelings. She can also change people's thoughts. But when people find out about her they freak out. Her last relationship failed because she found out Sadie had these powers. The truth is that Sadie doesn't even fully understand her powers and how extensive they are.

Billie has the ability to listen to a conversations out in the yard and can smell what you had for breakfast two days ago. She is very confident and is a natural born leader. She also knows how to throw her strength around and has the ability to hold back just about any opponent.

By some pure chance Sadie and Billie find each other at a nightclub one night and the connection is instantaneous. Whilst both of them know that the other is no ordinary woman they can't quite work out what it is about the other that draws them in so powerfully. With both of them having secrets to hide they peruse a relationship just hoping that the other doesn't discover their deepest secrets.

All the secrecy comes to an end tho and everyone learns that Sadie is much more than even she realised she was. This causes a lot of trouble for Sadie and Billie's relationship and also causes Billie's family to completely mistrust Sadie. But when the elder of Billies family asks Sadie to use her powers to help the family and hide it all from her lover Sadie sees this as a way hopefully win back the trust of Billie's family.

This book has no initial romance development, two people meet each other in the bar one day and attract to one another out of nowhere.
However, the concept is great, if reader willing to get pass the first half of the book, it starts to get better from there. Minor conflicts arise and there are twist in the main protagonist's identity.

Even though the two mains fell in love too fast, a lot of romance development starts later on in the book so it doesn't bother me as much compare to the beginning.

It took me one day to finish this, and no doubt, it is a very interesting read. I read the preview for the second book, apparently this first book was just a background introduction to the second one, the real conflict will start in Psyche Honor.

To be honest, the preview for the second book hooked me in, I am no doubt will purchase it.

I am going to be completely honest and say that I could not make it through the first chapter. Whereas I appreciate the opportunity to receive a free copy from Goodreads, this genre of book just wasn't my type. I am not as fond of other women as the main character seems to be, so I would not be able to relate to the main character. If I can't relate to the main character, I will not enjoy the book. Therefore I gave the book an average rating, so as not to really harm the rating system.

I thought this book was well written with a good plot. It surprised me that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would because I don't usually read horror type books. I would rather watch a horror movie instead. I would recommend this book to read.
