Nick Miller lives an ordinary life in his hometown of Bakersville. That is, until he starts to notice strange occurrences that seem to be indicative of a sinister cover-up. In a few seconds, his life and the future of civilization on Earth are altered forever by a deadly burst of light from space. This is the story of one man’s struggle to survive, and his ultimate triumph in the face of a tyrannical faction.
The author has written a fast-paced, and potentially realistic tale. The main characters are very believable and well-rounded, morally. My only complaint is that the editing was terrible! Abundant misspellings, duplicated words, and poor sentence structure slow the reader's comprehension. "Eye! Eye!" rather than "Aye, aye!" insults the reader and elicits a reader's disdain rather than effectively expressing the actions of the story's characters. The entire idea of good editing is to keep the story moving smoothly. Finally, the ending was abrupt but it succeeded well in encouraging the purchase of the next book!
The ploti was ok but the spelling was not good and several sentences had phrases repeated in the same line. Medical stuff was not good. The guy was said to have had a badly broken let but was up walking on it... Really? Get a better proif reader
Holy cow... this author is a miserable reflection of America's education system. I was saddened and ashamed more and more with every 'flip' of the page, until I finally had to stop reading (I made it three paragraphs into chapter two). My rating is truly -5 stars; too bad there is no such beast.
