Mortis Vampire Series Omnibus 2: Books 4 - 6

Rate this book
This omnibus includes books four, five and six of the Mortis Vampire Series. Death With the threat of the First now behind her, Natalie Pierce has little time to celebrate before yet another problem arises. By killing the first vampire ever made, she inadvertently set his ancient enemies free. Ten withered, starving creatures have now been unleashed from forty thousand years of forced entombment. Only Natalie and her vampire kin have the strength and speed to eradicate the inundation of fledgling undead that are about to rise. The last thing Nat ever wanted to do was rule but destiny cannot be denied. In her role as Mortis, she must bring her kin together or the entire human population will be destroyed. Somehow, she must find a way for the Japanese and European vampire nations to put aside their ancient enmity and work together for a common cause. Death Having destroyed a horde of fledgling vampires with the help of her friends and allies, Natalie Pierce’s hunt still isn't over. Their foe has fled from Africa with the intention of creating a new army of undead slaves to turn the human race into their cattle. Nat begins to feel uneasy about the fragile alliance between the Japanese and European vampire nations as well as the truce they have with the human soldiers. Both she and Kokoro know that death and darkness awaits their kind. A betrayal is coming that will tear their alliances apart. Their fate has been decided but neither yet knows exactly how or when their dwindling species will be decimated. Death Evicted from their own world by the humans that they had twice saved, Natalie Pierce and her few remaining kin float in the void of space inside the ship that has become an icy tomb. Rescue comes in the form of an alien spacecraft and Nat and her friends are soon facing adversaries that they have never encountered before. Their dwindling species is on the brink of extinction and it quickly becomes apparent that their new enemies would be only too happy to finish them off once and for all.

I began reading horror and paranormal books when most girls my age were still reading fairy stories. I always dreamed that one day I would be able to write stories that readers could become lost in.

The Mortis, Shifter Squad, Hellscourge and Fate's Warriors series are connected, but can be read as stand alone series. The overarching theme about Fate's chosen champions will come to an end with my fifth series; Loki's Exile.

My sixth series, Hunter Elite, begins a new saga with the seventh series, Half Fae Hunter, as a spin off.

Unique

Unique vampire story that has action, terror, tragedy, betrayal and romance. Good characters and good world building. Wish it was longer to add more depth and wish the author would not summarize what we already read in the prior books, other then that a good read.

Awesome

I never would have guessed where this series was going. I love it when a book surprises me. And I love the non-stop action and kick butt heroine. Great storyline.

Surprising Series!

If you'd outlined the premise of this series to me before I read them, I never would've picked it up. I tested the theory on my husband by giving him a short summary. He agreed with me that it sounded to fantastical, even for the genre. That being said, it was written in such a way that I used every spare moment to read every book back to back in about a week's time. I couldn't put them down! I forgot to sleep and eat on several occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed each book and even as far fetched as the events seem strung together in a synapsis, the author made it work in a surprising way and breathed new life into a genre that has plot lines heavily repeated. Highly recommended.

Put his head back on

Meanwhile I love this series. I can't even remember how may times I've read it but it never gets old. What I seem to always forget is that this author and so many others recap every single previous book in the series before it's starts to continue the story. It's just something that bothers me. I feel like if you start a series in the middle instead of at book one then you deserve to be lost.

Another Hit

This bundle contains book 4-6. There was lots of unexpected events happening. The intrigue continues on and we get to see Nat grow even more than she did during the first three novels. It seems earth needs the Mortis more than they know. The authors does a great job at portraying human nature. I love it!

gonna be putting my review at the last book! but I just gotta say I love Geordie, and (G)Nat is like a mom to him I guess, or so it seems.. He is funny and sweet and well sometimes a horny kid vamp, yet he is so loyal and a great friend, he makes or tries to make everything lighter and I love how Luc accept the bond Nat has with Geordie..
