Iv been so fortunate to have this as an arc however this is still my own opinion I wasn’t told to give it good review anyway
This is the third ax Cole book Iv had the pleasure of reading and I just love the writing. I love at the start of the books you learn a bit more about Charley and how they came to have there little family.
The start of the book is quite heavy please check your tw poor Khalilah has had a tough start to life but it’s really important to know about it so you understand her a bit more. I have loved her since I read the first book an I’m so happy she finally has her hea. I was gripped from the start of this book I had to work over the festive period and with family gatherings and so on I have been so annoyed just want to read my book but we managed it eventually. Is Zack a walking red flag kinda but we only see pink flags here 😂. This is probably my favourite book in the series so far I was laughing my head off at some parts but crying at the next and spice is definitely spicing100% recommend. I can’t wait for the rest of the series I’m so invested in this family. Ax come fast becoming my favourite author

Hands down, best book in the series.❤️
I love this book so much.
Khalilah and Zach are just *mwah*
The tensions between them, the build up, the push and pull dynamic, just them - their characters, everything was perfect.
This book will leave you with so many emotions. At one moment you will laugh and in the next cry your eyes out.
And the spice... all I'm gonna say is Zach is dirty-talker who loves hand necklace. And that kitchen scene–

I received an ARC of The Lover.
I really enjoyed this book. Zach and Lilah have a fun relationship and amazing spicy scenes.
Lilah has gone through life in the darkness, holding onto the hope of finding love in the world. After a downward spiral, she gets saved by Zach and her obsession with her knight in shining armor / romcom moment begins. A.X. Cole's writing gives every character a great personality and makes them feel real.
Years after their first meeting, Lilah goes above and beyond to force a second. Zach may not be able to give Lilah the exact love story she envisions, but he treats her so well. You will be swooning by the gentleman he is and "swooning" over how he treats her in the bedroom.
Make sure you check the TW/CW before reading this book as there are some scenes people may find triggering. Mental health matters.
