Wow!!! This journey was epic, full of turns and ugly bumps and in the middle of the chaos was standing Hailey and the man who broke her, but who was determined to protect her and gain her trust again!!!
I fell in love with the first book of this duet and the second book delivered a story full of passion, suspense, mystery, action and subversions...
It started with a bang and my heart was at my throat of how things turned out to be after all!!!
I am recommended 100% this story!!!

Well, the story picked up exactly where it left us in the first book...
After a flashback, Hailey realized that Nash wasn't who she thought he was and she ran away from him...
Carter searched everywhere for Hailey, but he came up empty...
Hailey ended up in a very bad place and Carter took extremely measures to get her back...
And when he got her back, things weren't as they used to be between them...
There was so much mistrust and Carter had to prove himself over and over again, if he wanted the woman that he had stolen his heart, by his side...
"I escaped hell, but I have no idea where I've ended up. How safe am I with a liar?" {Hailey}
"She's here. She's safe but... I haven't got her back." {Carter}
I loved Cater and Hailey very much!!! Their story wasn't an easy one...
Carter in here was such a sweetheart... Ruthless, but so protective of Hailey... She was his priority in everything and his only goal was to save her...
He was so patient with her and so caring... I fell a little more in love with him!!!
And poor Hailey... Her mind was a mess and every new memory was creating more questions than answers... And what she had to endure until Carter got her back, it was chilling me to the bones...
And as it was logical, her mistrust for Carter and his intentions were absolutely normal!!! But still... the heart wants what she wants no matter what...
"I'll rip the stars from the sky if she asks.
I'll steal the fucking moon.
I'll spend the rest of my life atoning for using her."
Except from Carter and Hailey, the background story was very complicated and so intriguing...
Unexpected things were happening and everything were such a mess!!!
I really loved this duet and I can not wait for the next book, even though I am scared to read it from the glimpses that I took of Violet in this book. I am so scared for her!!!
Also, I loved many secondary characters in here and I would love to take glimpses of them again in the future...
This duet was so good!!! You must read it!!!

This book was an exhilarating experience, filled with twists and turns that kept me captivated. The plot is brilliant—one of my favorites in a long time. The chemistry and tension and the way Hailey carried herself to get Carter to give in was delicious. But I appreciated how patient and caring Carter was in this second book.
I anticipated some retaliation from Blaze after the rescue, but that storyline concluded quite quickly. I have the next book in the series ready to go. It appears the first two books form a duet, with the following books focusing on other characters. I’m excited to read more from I.A. Dice, who has crafted engaging characters, a compelling plot, and enjoyable spice this far.
A special mention to the narrators, particularly Shiloh James, who voices the female main character, Hailey. Her performance was outstanding, perfectly embodying the character. I highly recommend this series but advise readers to be mindful of the content and themes, as some scenes can be graphic.

THIS. WAS. A. RIDE!!!
After reading this sequel, my brain was mush. I didn't want to leave my Carter and Hailey bubble haze. Alas, life (and the new season of Bridgerton) happened. But believe me when I say that I was still thinking about this book. The duet is just chaotic in all the dark, goodness ways.
So much happened and yet I wanted so much more. Hailey and Carter really fired up the pages.
I am enjoying this author immensely. Her writing is suspenseful, sexy and sassy. Everything you want a dark romance.
Theres's even a sprinkle of humor from the peanut gallery.
“Call us when it’s safe to come back. That’s if you still want to go over the plan for the hundredth time. Have fun, kids. Don’t break the bed!”
“Ten bucks says they won’t even make it to bed.”
And might I add that I am most definitely looking forward to the next book. We know it's about Violet, a girl that Hailey befriended. But who will be her counterpart? Will it be Broadway or one of the other of Carter's loyal men?
Guess we need to stick around and find out soon enough........

what the actual HECK did I just read. I’m honestly so disappointed after reading the first book and I’m so underwhelmed right now. Not one single part of this book is what I expected to happen and I don’t mean that in a good way AT ALL. Right off the bat we learn that Hailey has been kidnapped and is now with a human trafficking man where she was sexually assaulted, abused, and almost raped. Why did this need to happen?? Literally there was no need for this to happen AT. ALL. No where in the storyline was there a lead up or even a hint that this could happen. I found this to be so unnecessary and honestly disappointing that this was felt necessary to add. I’m honestly just so frustrated by that bc it didn’t need to happen. Literally the whole reason it happened was to introduce the next character for the next book. That’s it. That’s the whole reason Hailey had to go through that unnecessary torture. As if that wasn’t bad enough, we then get Hailey and Carters monstrosity of a relationship. Like omg I’ve never seen a girl more back and forth IN MY LIFE. I wanted to hop into the book and strangle her. Yea I understand that Carter lied to her about his identity and why they met up and stuff but she prolonged it for so long I lost interest after one of their many back and forth. That honestly made me so mad when it was so clear that Carter not ever cared for her and loved her unconditionally. They literally do this back and forth crap for like 64% of the book. I had to skip through so much of this bc finding out what the huge mystery was took too long. Honestly I could see the “twist” from the first book and knew the necklace would be used for something and that the dad killed Aaliyah. Also why did Haileys dad need to be made the villain? Honestly that kinda made me mad bc that didn’t need to happen at all. Literally the whole ending was so unnecessary. The whole evidence being about Haileys dad was so bad and just so out of left field I feel like i wasn’t even reading the sequel to the first book. All in all I was disappointed by this book and wish it was different.

From the moment I finished Breaking Hailey, I have been so anxiously awaiting the release of Saving Hailey! And besties, this book did NOT disappoint!
For anyone who follows me on social media, you know that I couldn't stop talking about Breaking Hailey. I recommended it to everyone. It's book that has lived rent free in my brain for MONTHS! I thought about my theories literally daily. So to say that I was excited to read Saving Hailey, that's an understatement! And guess what?!? I have found the answers to ALL of my questions and found out which one of my theories was current!
Let's start off by saying, Saving Hailey starts where Breaking Hailey ends. So if you have not read Breaking Hailey yet, you NEED to stop what you are doing and read that one first because this is a duet and you will not understand what is happening in Saving Hailey. Now with that being said, Saving Hailey starts off with a bang! We went from zero to 100 real quick with bombs being dropped in the first couple chapters. You see where Hailey goes and the trauma she experiences. And you see a very dominate side of Carter in search of finding his girl! Carter will not stop til he gets his girl back! And boy does he get her back in a very suspenseful way! I was on the edge of my seat!
Throughout Saving Hailey, both you as a reader and Hailey and Carter and working through her amnesia trying to piece everything together. There are still a lot of unknown factors. Hailey now has a mistrust in Carter but needs to rely heavily on him and his crew in order to piece her memory back together to find out why she is such a wanted person among the mafia crowd. After all, Rhett is still after Hailey. Hailey’s memory still has not come back but she does in fact unknowingly hold the key to all of this mind blowing information. And what’s the mind blowing information you ask? It’s something for me to know and you to find out 🤪 I will not be giving spoilers because it's something that you guys need to read the book to find out. It just too good and you need to experience the revelation while reading it yourself!
Going in I had these theories:
- The dad is actually a dirty copy, he gives me bad vibes
- Carter and the dad work together to find Hailey
- Alex was either Mafia or Cop who infiltrated the police department or Rhett’s mafia
- Aalyiah is actually still alive OR Rhett killed her and Hailey witnessed the Murder
- Also I NEVER trusted Matthews, in fact I didn’t trust anyone that wasn’t Carter
Were my questions and these theories answered? Yes! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! So just know you were given everything in Breaking Hailey to solve why Hailey is wanted 😘
RATING: If I could give this infinite ♾️ stars I would! I.A. Dice has very quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her writing style is impeccable! And she truly knows how to engage her audience. And let's just say, this duet is my top read of the year so far!
Now hurry up and read Saving Hailey so I have someone to share all my secrets with! Because I’m dying inside! Now it's time for me to sit around and wait for Finding Violet! And yes you meet Violet in this book! I think her story is going to be so damn interesting!

ARC REVIEW!!
I want to start off by saying I feel really nervous to review this book! I’ve been left so so speechless and feel like nothing I can say will do it justice so I’m going to put this bold statement out there… This book, paired with Breaking Hailey are THE best books I have ever read! I would give it so many more stars if I could!
I don’t know how IA Dice does it but I could not put it down! I finished it within 24 hours and now I feel so heartbroken and empty that it’s over!
The book had so much action and was filled with tension and angsts! The action scenes had my heart beating so fast in my chest and my head nearly falling from my neck! The side characters got so much more focus this time which I really loved because it meant we got to dive much further into the mafia world! Carter is everything you could ever ask for from an MMC, morally grey, dangerous and corrupt but with the softest, most sensitive and understanding side when it comes to Hailey. There was never any doubt that Carter would burn the world down for Hailey and stop at nothing to get her back! Strong touch her & ☠️ vibes!! Hailey was a strong but sensitive FMC and I loved her! These characters are literally everything and I can’t stop thinking about them! Is it strange to say I miss them already🫣😂
I thought the spice was incredible and IA Dice handled the traumatic events that happened previously with the book sensitively during these scenes.
This book has some extremely dark scenes! Much darker than Breaking Hailey and I wouldn’t assume that because you’ve read that one you will be fine with this, definitely read your TW first because there were some extremely sickening and harrowing moments at times.
My jaw was on the floor by the end of the book as the twists were uncovered and unanswered questions got answered because WOW!
After the ending I’m both scared and excited for the next book and have so many possible scenarios running through my head!

My jaw was on the floor by the end of the book as the twists were uncovered and unanswered questions got answered because WOW!
After the ending I’m both scared and excited for the next book and have so many possible scenarios running through my head!

Boring. Some things kinda came out of nowhere and pointless. Also the ow drama was annoying, and the book became more drama than plot.

ow- yes multiple women heroine has slept with show up and cause drama. hero is an idiot and didn't think about it when letting the heroine hang in the club. he talks about how he's slept with most of the woman there but he's only for the heroine and blah blah blah.

It was such a beautiful ride to read about Hailey’s journey through mistrust and insecurities. Witnessing Hailey find all the puzzle pieces to her amnesia was powerful and truly heartbreaking!🥺
While I took a moment to wax on about Hailey, I respected Carter's control and ability to wait for what he truly wanted, which was Hailey’s trust. How that man was able to have self-control when faced with Hailey’s temptations, I'll always be pondering.🤣
I'm sure I'm not the only one who said this, but I'm hoping for a redemption for Blaze. Inside every fiber of my being, I'm hoping that Blaze was doing all he did for a greater good or for a "good" reason. Please tell me I'm not the only one?!?🫣

If I could describe this duet in a few words it would be jaw dropping and spectacular✨
I can most definitely say book 2 definitely tops book 1.
Carter stopped at nothing in this book to fight for Hailey and earn back her trust (as he should💅)
I adored Carter and Hailey so much. The chemistry between them was absolutely unmatched😮💨.
Carter has definitely found his way into my book boyfriend list and Hailey she is no weak FMC, she questions and challenges it all, which is what I love to see in a FMC. This woman has demons but she doesn’t let them take her, she fights it every day✨
Hailey’s father I have no words to describe that man and honestly if I did go down that ranting rabbit hole I’d be here all day.. I understand he just wanted to protect his daughter but wow.
This book will honestly keep you on the edge of your seat and that’s all I’m gonna say as I wanna keep this review spoiler free🖤

Pretty good conclusion to this duet, but I was way more into the plot than the romance. The romance to me was kinda meh, but it had some cute moments. My favorite characters were Broadway, Kody and Ryder 🥰
I also prefered the first book.

Omgosh! This book was so amazing.
I am absolutely loving this series.
It is very dark (especially this one) and ask much as I wanted the MMC to go in there & hurt anyone who ever touched his girl, what does end up happening is chefs kiss.
I just love that both main characters bring out the best in each other & the fact that the MMC is so protective of the FMC no matter who it is? Even better.

First things first: "Saving Hailey" is the 2nd book of the "Shadows of Obsession Series" by I. A. Dice. Before you start with "Saving Hailey" u have to read "Breaking Hailey" cuz it ends with a cliffhanger and is not a standalone.🤯 and "Saving Hailey" is the continuation of the first book.

This book was definitely beyond my expectations, i mean Breaking Hailey was pure perfection and with Saving Hailey, Dice just put it into another level and blew it out. The story had everything, it was dark, twisted, dramatic, emotional and suspenseful.
The story lives up to the title of the book and Carter is doing everything 1st to save Hailey, 2nd to gain her trust again with a goal to keep Hailey safe after he founds her and 3rd to find the answers. This was emotional and i loved how Carter waited for this moment that Hailey says "I trust you" and didn't touched Hailey, he waited patiently. The development between Carter and Hailey was perfectly well written and the side characters gave the whole story great vibes. By the end of the book as everything was uncovered and the unanswered questions got answered i was speechless really i wasn't expecting this.

Dice didn't disappoint with her second book in this Series and i love her writing, her characters and the storyline are amazing. I can't wait for the 3rd book "Finding Violet" from Shadows of Obsession Series, im so excited to read it and im really curious who the MMC is😉😏

The plot in this book is easily one of my favorites for a dark mafia romance. It’s been a long time since a mafia story kept me hooked not just for the romance and spice, but for the plot itself. The layers of mystery and suspense are so well woven into the complex relationship and world that these characters live in, that I found myself on edge the entire time I was reading.
The ending of book 1 in this duet was emotionally brutal, and this picked up pretty much right where it left off. So, from the first page, I was gone. I could not put this down.
Hailey really goes through a lot in this one too, and it is pretty dark for her, so I would definitely advise checking the trigger warnings before starting this duet. But I loved how she kept her chin up and was determined not to become a victim again. I will say, though, there were some points where I thought she was being a bit frustrating, but honestly, I couldn’t blame her after everything she had gone through. I think my frustration was mainly due to her not wanting to trust Carter, and because it was dual POV, we know he means well, but she doesn't, so watching her fight against her feelings and belittle herself a bit was hard. It was worth it in the end, though.
I will say, I did see one of the plot twists coming, but there are two big ones, and the other one definitely came at me out of left field. I had so many theories about what could possibly be going on and, to be honest, what I found out was definitely not one of them.
I will 100% be picking up the rest of the books in this series, especially after the epilogue for this one hinted at what's to come for the next couple.

This book was amazing. I read it in almost one sitting because I just HAD to know what happened next. It was even better than the first one AND it got all my questions answered (finally!)
The start was a bit rough and you definitely need to check the tws before going into this book (like please seriously don’t go into this blindly!!!) but pretty soon it got better (thank god)
Carter is EVERYTHING to me and I completely understand why Hailey fell for him, I would’ve as well. He was your normal possessive mafia man but I eat that up every single time. G!n with him at all times and tattoos and ofc would do ANYTHING to protect his girl.
Hailey was such a strong FMC I loved her. No matter what happened to her she persevered and came back stronger. Honestly I don’t even know how she survived half the stuff she went through cuz damn. But she did and she never let anything or anyone stop her and I truly admire her for that.
And again I. A. Dice proved she could do no wrong!

This duet consumed me and I’m genuinely so sad it’s over.
Saving Hailey concludes the story of Carter and Hailey, and we finally get all the unanswered questions. My brain was working overtime to figure out the missing memories, what the evidence was and everything in between.
Carter was perfect in the first book, but was everything in the second! He was the ideal mix of ruthless mafia boss and sweetheart boyfriend. When he switched from mysterious college student to deadly killer 🫠. His patience and love towards Hailey was unmatched. Watching their love manifest, change and heal during this duet was beautiful. What Hailey went through was horrible and hurt to read, but her redemption arc was beautifully executed.
The perfect start to this series and I’m so curious about Violet’s story that I’m jumping into the next book right away.

Finally book 2 is here! It was much needed after *that* cliffhanger in 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆.
In this book we get all the answers and my gosh I was unprepared.

The suspense and need for answers kept me hooked. And since there is more to come in this world, I am curious for more.
