While the second in a series, this book stands alone just fine.
Green Eyes was a quick, light mystery read. I didn't find it especially funny though and only laughed once near the end. I found myself comparing it to the Stephanie Plum series and there are a lot of similarities. Matching making mother, really unfortunate prospective grooms, a quirky grandmother, Stone, her sexy PI/security guy mentor (will they or won't they???). However, Tiffany, while inexperienced, isn't the fiasco as a PI as Stephanie is as a bounty hunter and grandma is a successful poker player,not a funeral junkie. Tiffany's Lula appears to be Ian, her neighbor, who while ineffectual like Lula and helps in the end, is quite different from Lula otherwise. There's also a potential love triangle between Tiffany, Stone and Green Eyes. And like The Plum series, the story line is a little light on the actual investigation.
I have grown quite unhappy with The Plum series, so if Tiffany actually grows as a PI and the stories don't degenerate into exploding animals, chases, and an interminable love triangle I'll be happy to continue reading the series.

I enjoy this series, and like reading about the mysteries and adventures Tiffany Black gets into in Las Vegas. In this one, she sees a man descending through the air via parachute, watches him fold up his parachute, and get into a fancy car and drive away, and suspects that he might be a criminal. When she hears about the theft of a very valuable painting, she remembers that he was carrying some similar under his arm as he walked away from her, and the chase is on. When a murder happens that she thinks is linked to the theft, things get even more complicated. It is a good mystery with lots of twists and turns, and Tiffany solves it well.

I liked Green Eyes in Las Vegas. It was funny, lot of interesting characters, lots of suspects. It is a cozy mystery.
Tiffany Black is a casino dealer. She is also a brand new P.I. She has a crazy family, goofy neighbors and gets into a lot of trouble. Just by being herself.
Tiffany walking home after work sees a man in ski mask, in a suit & parachute off the strip. He has green eyes that wink at her gets into a car and disappears. She can't stop thinking about him. She finds out their was a art theft in that neighborhood.
Tiffany gets her second case looking into a actress murder. The cops just think it was a burglary gone wrong. Her friend thinks they are wrong and they don't know everything about her.
Tiffany's family keeps getting reports that she is doing dangerous things. Like for example when she goes to a strip club. Her mom keeps fixing her up with guys.
It seems someone is always watching her. Then she finds pictures of her and a threat in her apartment.
In some ways she reminds me of Stephanie Plumb. Except for a cleaner story and her cars are not exploding all the time.
The setting for the book is Las Vegas. It is fast paced book.
I want to read more books by A.R. Winters in the future. They are fun entertaining story.

This was a really fun book. I liked the mystery and the hint of romance blossoming. It was a very quick read that leaves me wanting to read more books in this series. Great job.

This second book in the series continues to be a fun ride with Tiffany. She is still rather incompetent and bumbles her way along but somehow it works. She hasn’t quite managed to take care of herself completely but she seems to have found even more strange and weird people to help her out. I enjoy this series when I need something a bit lighter but still engaging. I will definitely continue reading about Tiffany.

I love these books! They are simple in nature, fast paced and quick to read, and HIGHLY entertaining!
For those who don't know, Tiffany Black is a croupier in Vegas by night, a private investigator the rest of the time. Her first big case she solved a wealthy man's murder. She has a friend, Stone, who serves as a bodyguard should the need arise but there is also a hint of attraction between them, although so far Tiffany denies it. She also has a good friend on the force, Emily, and her family lives nearby. Her Nanna is a hoot, a gambler, and always looking to set Tiffany up with men she'd have no intention of dating.
When the story opens, Tiffany has just gotten off work. It's 3am and she's walking home to her small apartment when she hears a noise behind her. She turns just as a man parachuting from the sky lands on the sidewalk. She's instantly taken by his gorgeous green eyes. It's all she can see of his face because he's wearing a ski mask. She does notice,however, the expensive suit he's wearing and the bright red sports car he gets into before driving away. Oh, and he winks at her. Intrigued, she's unable to get him out of her mind. Then she finds out an expensive work of art, a Van Gogh, was stolen from a private collection just around the corner from where she ran into Mr. Green Eyes. She ends up talking to the police as well as the insurance company underwriting the painting. They end up asking her to look into the theft.
In the meantime, she's asked to look into the murder of a stripper. The girl's friend comes to Tiffany for help because the police have dismissed the case as a mugging gone bad. Not sure there's much she can do, Tiffany agrees to look into it. So what happens when there appears to be a link between the two cases? And what will Tiffany do when she runs into Mr. Green Eyes again, this time in plain sight, and she finds out he owns a casino and is well liked about town? Was she mistaken in her identity of him as a thief? What should she do when he begins to pursue her? And who keeps leaving threats in her apartment for her to find when she gets off work? We also meet her neighbor, Ian, here when someone tries to kill Tiffany and she ends up taking cover in Ian's apartment. He's a bit of a dork, in a nice way, can be extremely annoying, and somehow manages to think he's her new partner. He even watches Castle re-runs to bone up on his skills!
I breezed through this in one sitting. Didn't want to put it down. I can't wait to see how these characters continue to grow and how Tiffany's relationship with each one progresses. Am very curious about the ex-CIA, Stone. Would love to see something blossom between him and Tiffany. This was definitely a winner.

Tiffany strikes again.
These books are very entertaining, unfortunately the resemblance to the characters in Janet Evanoviches Stephanie Plum series and these stories are all too apparent. A good fun read nonetheless.

Since it was included in Kindle Unlimited, I've decided to read the second book, even though the first was kind of bland.
Tiffany still sees becoming a PI as her way out being a blackjack dealer. A friend of her client from the first book hires her to find out, who killed her best friend/roommate. The victim wanted to become an actress and therefore worked as a stripper on weekends. But, she was about to star in an indie film and had a rich fiancé. The murder investigation is then diluted with two more side plots that could be connected or not. For one, Tiffany witnesses a burglary (someone steals a painting and jumps off a building to escape) and also, she receives threatening letters.
The murder investigation starts well enough, with Tiffany questioning all the victim's acquaintances, but by the end of the book, she starts accusing everyone but the mailman of being the killer, as she has no clue who actually did the deed. To be fair, there weren't any clues to the killer's identity. If he/she hadn't gotten nervous at the end and started acting strangely, I wouldn't have figured it out either. While the series reads mostly like a whodunnit, it doesn't offer the necessary clues to allow readers to properly solve the murder.
Aside from the murder investigation, the series features two things that could turn into potential disasters further into the series.
Number 1 is the running gag of Tiffany's mum trying to set her up with men. I don't care how desperate a mother is for grandchildren, there is no way that she would introduce her to some fat loser, who lives in his mother's basement playing computer games and looks for someone else to mooch off. That part was probably supposed to be funny, but I found it annoying.
Number 2 is a love triangle (I hate those) lurking on the horizon, as Tiffany meets a Thomas Crown wannabe to compliment her Ex-James Bond.
So, still not in love with the series, but there is far worse out there.

Tiffany Black is a a casino dealer who is attempting to become a full time private investigator in Las Vegas. She has some decent contacts and some friends who are in her corner on the career change, which helps, but her instincts are still a work in progress. Through all of this, she's two for two in solving her first two cases, albeit via quite a bit of luck helping along the way.
A.R. Winters has done a nice job making the first two books in the Black Mystery Series interesting, relatively fast moving and with the charater development of the main character, who is likeable, fun, humerous, naive at times and most importantly easily relatable to for the reader. Green Eyes in Vegas also does an excellent job of introducing some related characters to the protagonist and unveiling their quirky interesting personalities as well.
Personally, I've always prefered a little darker and deeper detailed mystery novel (I.E Coben, Deaver & Swanson) but Winters provides a nice change of pace with her writing style which, while still a mystery novel is a little lighter and is infused with a little more quirkiness and humor. Looking forward to continuing on with the Tiffany Black Mystery series.

Tiff is back still trying to build up clientele for her P.I. business. She gets a referral and is on the case looking into a suspicious murder of a stripper/actress. Investigating the murder she picks up more business from an insurance company looking into the theft of a painting. Tiffany witnessed the thief parachuting down in front of her. All she remembers are piercing, twinkling green eyes. Not much to go on she has a run in with a jerk police detective in charge of the case. Gathering information Tiff encounters the green eyed man who is a rich philanthropist. Jack has the eyes but is he the thief? He's connected to the movie that Tiffany's dead actress was in and is trying to charm Tiff into dating him. Confused and trying to muddle through information she gets help from Stone who is always willing to help and possibly more with the weird chemistry between them. To top everything off, someone is stalking Tiffany so her neighbor Ian volunteers to be her bodyguard leading to hilarious consequences

This was another good Tiffany Black Mystery. In this one Tiffany is coming home from work at the casino and a man shows up from behind her wearing a mask and he has pretty green eyes. Tiffany is mesmerized by his green eyes. Come to find out a Van Gogh painting was stolen and mr green eyes stole it. Tiffany gets a new case to figure out who killed a movie starlet. Tiffany knows someone is watching her and someone keeps leaving messages under her door. Her granny finds a young boyfriend and her mother parades all kinds of potential boyfriends who seem to be really bad. Oh let's not forget about the sexy PI Stone who took Tiffany under his wing. There are some interesting twists and turns. There are knives, a plane trip oh my will Tiffany find the man of her dreams and solve her cases. I will continue reading this series and i recommend it to anyone who loves this type of mystery.

I am enjoying these books. They are fun and much like Stephanie Plum, Tiffany Black has interesting friends and family. In fact, trade New Jersey for Las Vegas and they are very much alike. I actually prefer Tiffany's world. However there are big differences between these books and Evanovich's which I suspect is more about how they are published. These books need proofreading and a good editor. I still am enjoying them. Also the author uses the word learnt so much that although I know it means learned it was annoying. Perhaps they become more polished. But as long as they remain enjoyable, I will keep reading!

The Quirky P.I. and The Rich Man
I recently began the Tiffany Black series and while I enjoyed the first & second books they get even better as they go on. Tiffany isn’t perfect (who is?) with her messy house and serious sweet tooth but she’s bright, funny, and compassionate and has a knack for solving crimes. Her family is normal with a mother set on seeing her married yesterday, a goofy, very lovable and hysterical grandmother who’s great at poker and she has some unique friends. Bottom Line? These books are an easy, fun read with the characters getting more interesting in each book. Read them.

Vegas is one of my favorite places. Anything Vegas related, I want to read it or watch the movie if it is based there. I am happy to have stumbled across this cozy mystery series set in Las Vegas. Even though there are made up names of casinos, the feel of Vegas and some of the older hotels' names are used. I'm not a gambler, I go for the food, shows and people watching which this series gives all of that. Throw in a murder mystery and this book fits right in with more than a few of my favorite things.

A full read
This book is one of the most fun books I have read in some time. The main character is well developed and has very interesting things happen to and around her. The friends are well developed with very different personalities. I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes a funny but mystery novel. The mystery develops through more than one mystery and solving them is well done . The ending is great and the results leave you satisfied with the book

“You can’t just drag someone somewhere and call it a date “
Okay. Still love these characters. I wish Tiffany and Stone would get their heads out of their a**es so that I can see how cute they really are together.
Curious how this Nathan thing will play out and how Ian will keep himself in the stories. He kinda cracks me up, and annoys me at the same time.
Jack is cute and we all love a guy with gorgeous eyes but, Stone! Though I do love her idea of a first date. lol.

Easy comfortable read for the beach or pool but 100% a Stephanie Plum knock off. Way too many similar characters. It’s like the author didn’t even attempt to hide that fact. I really hope she’s just ghost writing under a new name. I started with the second book but don’t imagine I will read any more for the simple fact that I don’t want to support someone who is so obviously copying another author’s work.

Fun Fast Read!
Truly enjoyed this new series and recommend it to all who enjoy a fast paced fun time with twists and turns and trying to pinpoint who dun'it. There are quite a few iced up phrases and spelling errors thou which is why I gave it only 4 stars. I do wish more authors reread their stories before sending them off to the e-reader company. Other than that the series is great!

An easy cozy mystery. Personally I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would BUT I find it VERY frustrating that many books now seem ok with the idea of choosing which criminals should be arrested and which crimes to ignore. If the guy is good looking and has a Robin Hood complex then it is ok to ignore the crime?? I’m seeing this in more and more books and it frustrates me. That being said, the author does a good job of keeping me interested. I give 3.5 stars

The mysteries in this book seemed rather weak, like just a means to set-up a potential new love interest. Although, after having read six of the Tiffany Black books, this is one she actually solves and not one where the killer just shows up to kill her and all is revealed.
The art theft plot is very Leverage-esque.

PI also working as a dealer at a casino, was walking home one morning and saw a mysterious green eyed guy jump out a window with a parachute. She is hired to try and find who had stolen the painting also solve a murder. Lots of great detective work done with some humor. This is an awesome read with a lot going on. A definite must read

What a fun and exciting read! Tiffany is confronted by a man wearing a ski mask with green eyes dropping from the sky when walking home from work. She ends up working two PI cases at the same time. She is also being stalked by someone. Are they tied to one of the cases?

Another Exciting Mystery by A.R.Winters
Book two of Tiffany Blacks mysteries is just as intriguing as the first. There are a lot of surprises and suspects that have you on the edge of your seat. Tiffany and Stone are amazing characters, although I think that Tiffany may have an eating disorder. I loved this book and hope to read more in this series. Excellent endings.

Sometimes your going to be wrong.
I enjoyed this second book about PI slash casino dealer Tiffany Black. She once again followed the clues and found out who was not telling the truth. The green eyed monster, jealousy, only reared his head once. But she really needs to practice self defense because running away isn't always going to be an option.

still fun but a little dated
I realized in this second book of the series that everything seemed a little dated. The technology, the fact that there was no threat of Covid, etc. the series is fun but I’m going to take a break now. I like Tiffany Black and her cohorts, I’ll probably be back.
