Selling her dead husband’s super-sized Harley is traumatic, but bike shop owner, Kia Anders, knows she needs to let go of the past. The big bike in her garage hasn’t been ridden for a couple years now. It is no more than a symbol of her loss and reminds her of her own lack of usefulness.
When the very large, very excited Mikkel Gunnarsen arrives to buy it, his pleasure in the bike makes the decision to sell to the younger man much easier than she imagined it would be. The same is also true for the decision that ends with Mikkel spending the night in her bed.
Kia knows the blissful moments with Mikkel are only momentary relief, but being with the younger man is certainly inspiring.
I am an active dreamer and find writing to be the best way to use my creativity. Needing to satisfy both sides of my brain, I have become a cross-genre author of contemporary, romantic comedy, fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romances.
I feel blessed that my books appear on bestseller lists for humor, romantic comedy, space opera, and more. I crave laughter from all my readers and focus my attention on making that happen as often as possible.
I love to hear from anyone who has read my books. Each reader is a hero or heroine to me. I am inspired by you.
Anything that involves the Larsons is good. This novella involving friends of the Larsons, Kia Anders and Mikell Gunnerson is no exception. Being that they are both from different generations of friends of the Larsons makes interesting reading. Kia being a friend of Will Larson and Mikell was Michael Larsons college friend. Yep the older woman younger man relationship makes a great read
50 something woman with a real spark of life in her, runs a bike fixing shop and has her Harley painted blue.
When she meets Mikkel, to hopefully sell her husband's Harley, she doesn't expect to fall for him, and certainly not one in his 30's.
The magic between them is undeniable, but Kia is putting her foot down and denying them both as she refuses to take on Mikkel ... until she meets him again at a gallery showing. The sparks continue to fly and she decides to see what happens.
A love short story, about a man that had just had his divorce finalized, and going out to buý a motor bike, as his wife had not liked him riding, but he missed the feeling. The other half of the love duo, is a woman, whose husband had died two years ago, but had not as yet moved on with her life. I won't go into further detail, as it is a great story, told by a skilled wordsmith.
Mikkel Gunnerson is the prince we all dream we will meet. He may stutter at the beginning but he is "all in" in the end. This second chance at love for Kia is a happy escape for an afternoon.
YIPPEE! I LOVED THIS, EVEN THOUGH I WISHED IT WAS LONGER. I TOTALLY LOVE THE ART OF LOVE SERIES BUT I LOVED NEVER TO LATE, NEXT TIME AROUND,& DATING SERIES (also the one's that were single stand alones too).;D YES, IV'E READ THEM ALL, CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONES. SMILE! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS, LOVE HER STYLE, STORY LINES & CHARACTERS ARE ALL GREAT. IT WAS SO NICE TO SEE SOME OF THE CHARACTERS FROM PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THIS ONE. IF I WAS FORCED TO CHOSE MY FAVORITE, IT WOULD BE SHANE & REESA'S STORY, HOTT-HOTT-HOTT. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE BOOKS, HOPE THEY ARE LONGER BUT I'LL TAKE'EM NO MATTER HOW LONG/SHORT THEY ARE. ;D
I really liked Cruising Speed. I only wish it had been longer. Donna McDonald has a way of sucking you into all things Larson. If only every family was filled with so much love and crazy. I would like to read more of Mikkel and Kia. They are very interesting characters that we didn't get to know well enough because the story was too short.
I had this book on my Kindle but didn't realize it was intertwined with the other books I have fallen in love with! What a great surprise to read this story of a friend of the Larson Family!
Another winner although short as novella are I enjoyed this story It was great seeing all the familiar characters throughout the book Want a great short read pick this up
