A wonderful series!
I recommend this series to anyone who likes warm characters with good morals which gets them through every adventure with bravery, humor and honorable intentions. My husband and I both read the series and loved it. The Bob and Nikki story can be read by anyone, including children. There is no cursing or intimate scenes other than light inuendoes.

One of the better books in the series
This installment was easily in the top 5 among books in this series, maybe even top 3. Stakes are very high, though not at the literally existential-level of their last crisis. However, we do get to enjoy a little starship combat in this one. It finishes off with a small teaser that has potential for interesting happenings in the next book.
As always, if you're new to the series you need to start with book one and read them in sequence. I doubt they'd do well as stand-alones. The author also has his own writing style, what with commas and chapter breaks, but it's not difficult to follow, and may be part of what allows the author to publish new ones quickly so we aren't kept waiting. I rarely even notice it anymore and I like not having to wait.
If I could offer constructive feedback to the author, it would be to update the list of characters in each book. When I first found this series I was able (barely) to keep track of the very large, and ever-growing cast of characters because I was able to binge a couple dozen books in a row and it kept my memory fresh. However, now that I'm having to wait a brief period between book releases I'm having trouble keeping some names straight. This is a failure of my own memory but I can't be the only one who could benefit from such an update.

I sure am happy that Mr. Boyd, Bob and Nikki are out there keeping us safe.
This wonderful story could stand alone but it is better with all of the history of BSR standing behind it.
Mr. Boyd continues the story in a way that includes the reader as part of the BSR family. I am old enough that Bob and Nikki's bunch are close to all the family I have left.
The story here starts with a big splash and ends with only atoms of the various threats remaining.
Another rollicking tale from Bob's Saucer Repair.
This wonderful story could stand alone but it is better with all of the history of BSR standing behind it.

Really Fun Read!
For me, this series never gets old. I love Bob, Niki, Topper and the whole crew! This particular installment was especially fun to read. There was a really nice blend of action, humor and intrigue, mixed in with the down home feeling that is the hallmark of this series. The kids grow and learn, as do the adults. I can't wait to see what the next book has in store!

Great #47
Gone Fishing is the latest(47th) in a delightful series. Bob & Nikki, along with their bots and fleet, are at it again. Great light space opera. Start at the first one to get the full benefits. At least once in every book, Jerry Boyd mentions someone or something I need to look up on the web.

I really enjoy this series. The sharp dialogue, action and adventure. The way the crews pull together to find innovative solutions to problems. The cat fish was quite funny, but I think her should call it D B Cooper's Fine Fillets. Hopefully after this, the Empire will be friendly. Looking forward to the next installment.

Another Wonderful adventure for Nikki and Bob
This one was really a fun read as it started out relatively mellow and got more and more exciting as the pages were turned. There was even so angst to be had as the fleet was scrambled to go to what they all thought would be a full-out shooting war. You will need to read it to learn how things turn out!

These stories get better and better!
Mr. Boyd, you are grand storyteller! I appreciate your hard work. I tell everyone I know that I got to visit with Bob when a new one comes out. Trouble is I can't read them again for the first time for at least 30 years.
I like the last sentence! Not necessary to keep me coming back, but a tasty morsel for my imagination to feed on until I can read the story.

Another great book in this series
This one was packed with action. A complete story but with a cliff hanger that will no doubt have me getting book 48 soon. Bob and Nikki try to take some to e off and end up in the midst of a coup in the empire. Can Bob and the BSR crew save the day? Start at the beginning and join the full. Each book in this series gets better and the first one was really good.

Bob and the crew continue their journey, and as always it’s great fun.
As always, I can’t wait for the next book to come out, because every time a new one comes out I drop whatever I’m reading and start reading the next chapter. If you’ve been following along since the first book, you won’t be disappointed with this one either.

This story was....
.....A bit different. Plenty of action and plots and counterplots? A most enjoyable story with no holes in the action or the story. Book 47 in the series
Bob, Nikki, and the rest of the team decide to take a few days off at Charlie’s planet. While they are there, a huge catfish is caught in the river and everyone comes to the fish fry. Later the bad guys stir up trouble so the fleet sees action. A great story.

Big changes and a new secret weapon... buckle up!
The fleet is getting more powerful every day, but a good moral compass keeps the action centered on stability. Another installment of the kids growing up and the adults gaining wisdom. The story line is mature and yet adds detail and nuance every step of the way. Excellent reading!

Well I Guess 1 Fish is Fishing
Not much fishing going on only one fish caught yeah the feast the whole fleet, but still only one fish caught. But I guess saving the Squirrel Empire does cut down on the fishing time. But our hero can’t even go visit his granddaughter without getting shot at. Yet he continues to prove he’s a Hillbilly with a sense of humor.

Oh My?
We’re left with an unusual hanging ending in this installment. The main storyline was resolved, but the lift into the next book asks unanswered questions, leaving the reader waiting. Thanks, Jerry - mostly!

Every book is fun
In episode 47, we found out what William was doing in the commonwealth. Kate went back to being Becky.
Oh, and the squirrel empire got so corrupt that a coup took place.

Fantastic Series
What a fun ride this last month has been! Jerry has done a great job with Bob and Nikki's story. This one had Bob and Nikki helping the squirrels get their act together. And we get to go fishing!!!

Fleet action but author flakes on casualties
Decent book. Fleet swings into action against squirrel secret fleet but after developing ftl torpedoes and deep space mines author make whole fleet autopiloted PR sacrifice drones. Someday he will get to engage in real warfare.

Sometimes it sounds like Charlie's is heaven and other times; not so much. I can't imagine the challenges of trying to balance so many projects with so much risk. I admire the author's ability to do so.

Bob's Saucer Repair is addictive
Just finished book #47
And now I can't wait for the next one. This series is not serious dramatic science fiction for the ages. Just good compelling stories that I can't get enough of, with characters that seem real, and about whom I care.

WHEEE A super worrisome store
Mr. Jerry has hit another cliff hanger inside a story! The action is stunning in several scenes. I am waiting for the next release with bated breath! I have all the books and have to read them at least every 2 months!
