A Questionable Hero
Born of a mortal woman but raised in Hell by the demon that sired him, Abdamas is a Halfling—proof incarnate of the war between good and evil that exists in each of us. Shaebiel is an angel warrior earning her ultimate salvation in Heaven by fighting demons like Abdamas who are in search of human souls on Earth.
In the heat of a raging battle , Abdamas sees Shaebiel and wants her. When the blade of another demon aims for her, Abdamas is injured himself trying to save her. Shaebiel can’t believe a demon has rescued her from certain death and takes her questionable hero home with her to heal him.
As they both fight and surrender to their desires, the conflict around them continues, and there is Heaven and Hell to pay for their actions. Through divine intervention they are offered a gift. But Hell is nowhere near finished with either of them, and the stakes are getting higher and higher.
Can a questionable hero sacrifice enough to redeem himself in the eyes of Heaven so that he may claim the love of an angel?

A QUESTIONABLE HERO is a paranormal story by author Kiki Howell.
Abdamas is a Halfling-born of a human mother and a demon father, who on his birth, takes him to train as a demon killing his mother.
When he meets Shaebiel, he feels attracted to her, knowing she is an angel and a demon can’t fall in love with an angel. They fight their attraction for each other but finally surrender to their desires.
And all the while Heaven and Hell/ angels and demons are fighting for their souls. Can Abdamas give the ultimate sacrifice to save
Shaebiel’s life in order to redeem himself enough to claim her love?
The world-building Kiki Howell did in this story is uncanny as this is what I always believed angels and demons to be. The story is peppered with good dialogue throughout.
The romance and characters came alive on the page for me. I was personally involved in their happiness and craved the resolution as deeply as Abdamas and Shaebiel did!
I can say A QUESTIONABLE HERO is a good story with great tension and fast paced making it an enjoyable read.

Fate works in mysterious ways as Abdamas a half demon half human warrior saves Shaebiel’s soul in the heat of a raging battle between good and evil. Shaebiel is a warrior angel put on earth to fight demon’s to save the human souls they seek to take possession of.
Abdamas gets hurt while saving her life and in return she brings him home to help save him of his wounds. Astonished, with her questionable hero’s intent on saving her, Shaebiel’s confusion soon becomes clouded by the desire that they belong together.
The conflict around them continues and as they both surrender to their desires. Abdamas is dealt a with a gift of new life and the hell he’s only known thus far in life is far from finished with either of them. Sacrifices are made, pain is dealt, and desires prevail, but can this questionable hero prove himself worthy in the eyes of Heaven to claim the love of an angel?
Kiki Howell does it again in this amazingly written paranormal romance of good versus evil. Once I started reading this love story I couldn’t stop until I reached the end. The romance was heartfelt, the sex was hot, and the ending will leave you wanting more. I loved it!

Abdamas is half human, half demon. He was raised by his father in Hell, but he’s never been very good at being evil. In fact, when this exciting novella opens, Abdamas saves a warrior angel, Shaebiel, one of whom is supposed to be his enemy! When he is injured, Shaebiel takes him back to her apartment despite her own hesitations. The attraction between them is immediate and very potent – Howell writes one smokin’ hot erotic romance!
It isn’t all sex, however, when angel and half-demon both begin to feel tenderly for each other, something neither had expected. Neither did Heaven or Hell, and Abdamas and Shaebiel soon discover that their passion has a price.
This novella is fast-paced and exciting, with memorable, likeable characters and very steamy love scenes. I was drawn in right from the opening and found myself cheering Abdamas and Shaebiel on. A Questionable Hero is one fun read!

Not a stranger to Kiki Howell’s work I was once again impressed with her ablility to create a tale like now other. My experiences have always been more around magic, spells and witchcraft with her work. But in this one she really goes in a different direction. The result is a passionate, suspenseful and thrilling novella that leaves the reader breathless and wanting more. Because it is a novella I don’t feel good going too in depth for fear of repeating what’s from the blurb or causing a spoiler. Just trust me -- you’ll love this one.
