Life in Innothlig hasn’t been easy for me, but I’m determined to face every challenge with integrity and a growing faith in the gods of this world. Now the glorious Golden Goose has been spotted for the first time in more than a century, and everyone in Hid is in an absolute uproar about it. Only the most dedicated and pious delegation will be able to earn the bounty of the golden egg. But wooing the Goose isn’t the only challenge before me, do I have what it takes?
I love this series, and I might say that about several of Logan Jacobs books, but this is easily in my top 3 series and always a pleasure to read!
What's most surprising about this latest installment of the book is further insight into the world Henry is thrust in, his first glimpse of the Outer Kingdom's he claims to be from, and even the personal development and development of several other characters in the series, including the seeming Ice Queen of House Siggwin.
This book with its two previous tomes has the ability to be in the top three of greatest series of all time in this genre for any author. The story arcs, character development and detail that these books contain are beyond ordinary. These books are a real gift from a very talented author. Follow Henry Cotton as he deals with hate and prejudice from all angles and turns it into love through cooking in various situations. Truly an inspirational read. So say I.
This story, this beautiful and amazing story has captured my heart. While it doesn't inspire me to cook, it has warmed my heart by how great it is. Every character is my favorite, and this might be my favorite, slice of life story ever.
Finally the people of Hid may realize that humans are good. Henry won the contest to get favor from the Golden Goose. He planted the seed given him and we will find out about it in the next book.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book and series is definitely worth checking out.
A world where humans are believing that they cannot cook. A cook from are world taken to there's must go thru trails and prejudice to show that humans can cook.
Highly recommended this book! Different from the authors other offerings and could not stop reading Fantastic world building and can't wait for next book
