Kat had no choice but to steal a rare diamond at an event and runs into Nik (who she doesn't realize is the pakhan of the Russian Mafia). They end up having a steamy night together before she takes off.
When Nik finds out who Kat really is and that she stole his diamond he kidnaps her and tells her she needs to help him find the killer of his close friend.
Nik can be dominant but does allow Kat to be in control often. He is still protective and possessive but still allows her the freedom to be herself. I found Kat to be pushy, a little much at times but brave and fierce. She did, however, need to be like that in order to survive what she is going through. I do wish Nik would be more OTT dominant.
There were a few spicy scenes and I liked how descriptive they were.
The suspense and mystery are very intense and I need the next book in order to figure out who killed Niks friend, who the guy is that Kat worked for and what happens next!

Right where do I start! This book was exciting, and let me tell you the smut was phenomenal. Kat is a skilled thief and Nik is a mafia boss, they both have a one night stand what could possibly go wrong?
I loved how right from the start I was hooked into the action of what was going on, but I did wish there was a bit more action throughout the book!! Both of these characters as a whole served this book and did certain deliver with their character development! And in this whole book the sexual tension was A LOTTTTT!
Kat, a sarcastic, enthusiastic, funny character! I adored that she didn't take no shit from men! Even mafia bosses! she was such a funny character with her sarcastic response to the point I do laugh out loud a few times!! 😂 Her character developed so much throughout this book but she must have a high sex drive because this girl lusted for this man so much to the point she wanted more.
Nik, the possessive, touch her and die, obsessive mafia boss that everyone loves and craves for. He was it! He was controlling to an extent with Kat but this was overpowered with his feelings towards her for sure. I did love how he tried to mask and seem like he didn't care for her and didn't want her, but deep down he craved every bit of her and lusted her maybe even more than she did him!!! The sexual tension between these both was overpowering but it definitely turned into something more.
Overall, I did enjoy this book it was filled with, mystery, secrets, mafia men 🫣 and a lot of smut!! I did think the ending was a little rushed for me and it could have been done slower. But the book as a whole was really good!!! and I was hooked and finished it in just over a day! ADD this to your tbr!! For even the smut alone... 😅

Always have fun reading Mafia Romance and this one did disappoint me a bit. The plot revolves around a heist as written in the blurb and to be honest, there was very little of that as it just happened in the first few chapters only. Overall I think it should just be rephrased as romance. I was expecting some enemies-to-lovers scene but that was also not there as the attraction between them was steamy at first sight.

This book is in dual pov and both the mc's are so perfectly written and had so much pleasure to read their story and plots from different perspectives. The characters are well-written and more than the story, I fell in love with them. There were just these 2-3 times where I felt like the FMC was irritating, but overall, I liked her. As for the writing, it was perfectly structured well, nothing hard to read, and the flow was also consistent throughout.

This book was a chef's kiss!! Perfection. Love love love it!!
Kat is a skilled thief known in the underworld for her high value targets. Nik is the head of the Russian mafia. They have one mind blowing night that neither one of them expected. Things take a twisted turn at the same museum they had their hot and heavy night at. Nik knows Kat has to be involved and has to prove it.
I devoured this book and book 2 in 2 days. I loved it and I'm so sad it’s over. I loved Nik and Kat so much. Check out Diamond Don and Diamond Dream on kindle unlimited coming out June 27th!

This is a Mafia Dark Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Ruthless Russians series. This type of book is not for everyone, so please check out trigger watching before picking up this book. It took me a little bit to get into this storyline, but once I was pulled into it I was living for this story. I fall in love with the characters. The ending does leave you hanging on for dear life and wanting more. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Not gonna lie. I LOVED this book. It had me hooked within the first few pages and that never happened for me.
I got it as an ARC and was really surprised at the skill this author had in putting together her story. I was expecting just a normal dark mafia romance, and this pulled us in the direction of a heist as the main pivot point.
I thought the concept was super cool to have a female be the one being the renowned white collar criminal/thief. Not that Nik didn’t have his own involved reputation and everything, but Kats notoriety did surprise me. I loved the chemistry between Nik and Kat as well.
The story was hot 🥵 the banter, super entertaining. MMC was equal parts badass, witty, and endearing. It was great. Suspense and discovery was perfect. I’m runningggg to read the follow up sequel.

For starters, I am not a 'Mafia' girlie, like at all. However, what pulled me in was the gorgeous book cover! Needless to say though, this book surpassed my expectations by a long shot! So much so that I finished it in one sitting over the span of three-ish hours.
This book is faced-paced which I love. We have amazing fleshed out characters who don't waste their breath denying the attraction between each other. Kat is a woman like myself. She's smart, confident, and she doesn't take 'no' for an answer. And while Nicolai is supposed to be this big bad mafia leader, he's extremely kind and protective towards her. Not to mention their banter is UNREAL.
There's a little plot twist towards the first quarter of the book which I loved because it caused for another change of pace. I tend to get super bored easily when the plot is stagnant, so this book is great for people who are the same.
I also LOVE the tension between these two. In all honesty, a book could be awful but good spice would raise the rating for me by a mile. Luckily, this book was amazing in terms of plot and spice!
Let's talk about the spice though. THE SPICE. Nicolai and Kat’s chemistry is off the charts. I’m talking toe-curling, heart-racing, ‘oh my god did that just happen’ kind of spice. There’s this one scene—won’t spoil it—but let's just say it involves them both fighting for dominance. Yeah, you’re gonna need a fan for this one.
And the characters? Chef’s kiss. Nicolai might be a mafia boss, but the way he looks at Kat with those protective, smoldering eyes? I melted. And Kat? She's a total badass. She’s not just surviving in this dangerous world; she’s thriving. Watching her navigate the Nicolai's world with intelligence and sass was everything. Plus, we love a man who gifts you a black amex without a limit.
A solid 5 star read and I can't wait to pick up the other book in the duet! Long story short, even if you’re not usually into mafia romances, give this one a shot. It just might surprise you like it did me!

This story started out with a bang. Explosive connection between Kat and Nik. Then it started going downhill in my opinion. Nik is the pakhan of the Russian bratva. Kat is a sophisticated, high-class thief. She and her friend A.J. got in trouble with the Italian mafia, and Kat was charged with stealing a priceless red diamond being displayed at an exclusive gala at the Metropolitan Museam. When she successfully walked away from the gala with the diamond, she didn't know who it had belonged to. She just knew she was supposed to turn it over to the head of the Italian mafia, who she referred to as the "stronzo."
Nik saw Kat at the gala and was immediately smitten. She saw him and thought he was the most striking, tall, dark and handsome man she had ever seen. Although she got Nik's name, she refused to give him hers, and they left the gala separately. Kat had no intention of ever seeing Nik again, but fate had other plans.
This was an extremely tense story. The reason I reduced the rating to 4 stars instead of 5 is because of Kat and how she treated Nik. It got to the point that I almost threw my Kindle out the window. She treated Nik very badly and was a major stresser in his life, while he had many other stressful responsibilities to deal with, including the murder of his best friend at that same gala where Kat stole the "Flame of Mir" diamond. Did she have something to do with that, too? Nik has his suspicions.
Kat's and Nik's relationship was extremely volatile, mostly due to Kat's resistance to telling the truth and keeping her word. The story reeks of her duplicity, and that's what I had the most difficulty with.
By the end of part one of the duology, I was much more in tune with the story and began rooting for the pair of protagonists. The story includes the relationships between the nine crime families, forbidden love, murder, theft, lies and unrequited love. Be prepared to deal with an epic amount of frustration, setting you up for part two, "Diamond Dream."

-If someone told me that this is the first book of this author, I wouldn't have believed you. It's so good, and the story hooks you from the beginning.
-Talking about our main characters, I really liked Kat a lot. She's a sarcastic, charismatic, srong character who lives by her own rules. Then we have Nik, our possessive mafia boss who would kill to keep her safe. Both of them had a good development. No complaints about this.
-Now, can we talk about the sexual tension between these two? It was another level. Chef kiss💋
-Although I felt that the ending was a little rushed, I liked it, and the cliffhanger left me wanting even more! Can't wait to read Diamond Dream🩷

THE BEST MAFIA ROMANCE OF 2024!!!
I loved and devoured every second of this story. It was perfect from start to finish!
I loved how this story was plot/character driven and wasn’t just pure smut. There was so much intense sexual tension built up throughout, but my gosh when it did come to the spicy scenes they were chefs kiss!!!
I loved the dual POVs from Kat and Nikolai, I always loved to hear things from different perspectives as it really builds a whole picture on the scene unfolding.
Kat is my spirit animal, she’s fierce and unapologetically sassy which is everything we need in a FMC. She just oozes female empowerment and we love to see it.
Nikolai Stefanovich is my new book boyfriend and I will be daydreaming about him for the rest of the year! I just need to find a tall, dark, handsome Russian to call me ‘Milaya’ and all my dreams will have come true.
As this is a dark mafia romance, I wasn’t expecting any big plot twists but oh my I was SHOCKED at the plot twist 26% I did NOT see that coming! It brought a whole new spin and excitement to the story!
If you dark mafia romances with love enemies to lovers, forced proximity and insta lust which gives the sames vibes as ‘365 days’ then you will LOVE this!
Beware, there is an incredibly teasing cliffhanger at the end of this book which will make you desperate to read the second book in the Diamond Duet series immediately! BRB, just off to devour the next book!!!

I loved and devoured every second of this story. It was perfect from start to finish!
I loved how this story was plot/character driven and wasn’t just pure smut. There was so much intense sexual tension built up throughout, but my gosh when it did come to the spicy scenes they were chefs kiss!!!
I loved the dual POVs from Kat and Nikolai, I always loved to hear things from different perspectives as it really builds a whole picture on the scene unfolding.
Kat is my spirit animal, she’s fierce and unapologetically sassy which is everything we need in a FMC. She just oozes female empowerment and we love to see it.
Nikolai Stefanovich is my new book boyfriend and I will be daydreaming about him for the rest of the year! I just need to find a tall, dark, handsome Russian to call me ‘Milaya’ and all my dreams will have come true.
As this is a dark mafia romance, I wasn’t expecting any big plot twists but oh my I was SHOCKED at the plot twist 26% I did NOT see that coming! It brought a whole new spin and excitement to the story!
If you dark mafia romances with love enemies to lovers, forced proximity and insta lust which gives the sames vibes as ‘365 days’ then you will LOVE this!
Beware, there is an incredibly teasing cliffhanger at the end of this book which will make you desperate to read the second book in the Diamond Duet series immediately! BRB, just off to devour the next book!!!

An individual was identified as a thief who attempted to steal a rare red diamond. During the incident, she encountered a Russian underworld leader, with whom she engaged in a one-night encounter. Tragically, the leader's close friend was murdered that same night, and it was later revealed that the individual had stolen the diamond. Despite this, the leader felt a strong attraction towards her and instead of punishing her, he assigned her to assist in solving the murder. There are suspicions that an Irish underworld leader may be responsible for the crime, but circumstances suggest a more complex situation at play. As the investigation progresses, questions arise about the disappearance of Maxim's body.

Super fun mafia romance. If you like Nicole Fox or Sophie Lark, you will likely love this book. Not as dark as other mafia series which was refreshing. Love, love, loved that the FMC was a sassy, strong woman who didn’t turn into mush at mafia hijinks. She was fiercely independent and had her own criminal empire going. I enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters. And side characters were well written and fit in to the plot appropriately.

I love books about Russian mafia bosses and I really liked this book. I liked the female character because she is witty, smart, knows what she wants. The male character is a brute with a soft heart and I can't wait to read the second part of the series. This is the first time I read something by the author and I like it.

A deliciously mafia story!
Kat and Nik are the definition of a hell power couple!!! I adore the heat and the banter between this two! It’s such a pleasure seeing the little white collar thief make the bratva pakkan go crazy for her!
The storyline is very good, it’s interesting and entertaining I love how the story it’s going on and can’t wait for the second part of the duet!

New to me, author, but oh, her book is incredible! The angst between the main characters is phenomenal and leaves me begging for more. There is just something about mafia trope that does me in, couple that with some amazing spice, and I'm sold. I can not wait for book #2, not only to find out what happens but to see the character development between the two MC'S. Highly recommended.

Enemies to lovers….a mafia boss and a thief. For me it was slow to start by picked up pretty quickly. Loving the suspense and smut. Jumping straight to book 2. Definitely worth adding to your TBR.

Ohhh yummy!!! Diamond Don by Anna Cole is the scrumptious story of Nik and Kat. They meet at an elite museum event, and both are taken with one another. Yet, Kat has a purpose. Nik wants what he wants and always gets it. But, he never gets her name. He later discovers exactly why that is.
The delightful, dark banter and relationship between these two is sooooooooo decadently fun! Perfect foils for one another…the writing is sharp, wicked, and all-consuming. The characters are perfect!!! She becomes an unwilling participant in his own mission of discovery…and things take a terrifying, deadly turn….Ends in a slight cliffhanger.

A very intertwining story consisting of a Diamond thief, the bratva, and the mob; What could possibly go wrong? Murder a heist or worse? It doesn't take long for some on page spice. This book was so good! I was hooked pretty quickly, and let me tell you the smut was smutting.
Our main characters are Nik and Kat, a mafia boss and a thief, respectively. One night stands can’t hurt anyone, right?? 🫣
The plot line starts almost immediately and I was HOOKED. Their banter is top tier and the plot twist, OH BOY. I don’t want to spoil too much!!
Definitely add this to the top of your TBR, I finished both books in just over 2 days. Having withdrawals now.
