Serena MacPherson’s mind races faster than the camera shutters as her photo gets taken. Flashing lights and magazine spreads are her life. Liam Richter has smoother skills on the ice than off it, and he’d rather avoid the limelight at all costs. When Liam gets talked into doing a photoshoot to announce his new residency as hockey captain, he leans into Serena’s help on set – literally. Their on-camera chemistry has rumors flying about them. Surely there has to be something real about it.
Model Behavior is a steamy slow burn that makes you feel like you’re reading a 2000’s rom com.
Model Behavior is for the readers who know finding someone doesn’t necessarily mean finding yourself but it’s nice to have company…
SUPER SECRET BOOK REVEAL! If you listened to Likewise then you’ll know, if you didn’t or don’t listen, then go listen and you’ll know what I’m talking about. She did in fact give me permission to put up on Goodreads, I was scared to do so until she said I could lol
First of all, the BIGGEST of thank yous to Sierra 😭 literally still sobbing about YOU KNOW WHAT. And all I have to say to you now and forever is thank you.
Sierra sent both me and Sam a super early eARC of her newest novel, Model Behavior, and to say I ate it up would be an understatement. I received it Sunday evening and had finished it within 24 hours. Sierra’s writing is addicting and I can’t get enough of it.
Serena and Liam are some of my favourite characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading and getting to know. This 2000s romcom type of book had me kicking my feet and squealing the whole time. Just the kind of read I needed to help me out of my slump!!!
Don’t even get me started on Ryan (fav), Clay, and even Nick. Avery and Hayley are also incredible. Everyone Sierra writes is always so dang dimensional!!! She cannot write a flat character!
I loooove hockey romances and I’ve just added this one to the very tippy top of my favs list heheh. And it’s fake dating, so obviously I loved it. Everything about this book was done with so much intention and done so well.
Sierra, you have not only become an incredible friend but also one of my instant/must buy authors. Cannot WAIT to get my hands on my physical copy!!!
Also, I’m so sorry but I did in fact not only let but TOLD my sister to read this (I promise I don’t usually, but I couldn’t help myself, I knew she would love it. pls don’t blackball me from getting more ARCs 😪).
4.5 ⭐️ (rounded up)-I fell in love with Sierra Spencer’s writing last year when I read eastern standard and was so excited when she announced a new book and equally grateful when I was approved for an ARC copy.
Model Behavior follows Liam, a professional hockey player and Serena, a supermodel as they enter a fake dating relationship for PR. It was such a fun and cute concept for the backdrop of a romance book. Watching these two intermingle their very different lives and ultimately fall for each other just made me so happy. From the first page, I didn’t want to put their story down
While the concept was fun and the romance was sweet, I would say the mental health representation is what shined in this book. Sierra Spencer did an amazing job conveying the mental health struggles both main characters have from the jump. Way before either character even confided in the other, it was clear in their personalities, actions and inner monologues. I think that’s so unique because many authors tend to hide what their characters struggle with until a defining moment, but here, it was laid out from page one. And then the way Liam and Serena moved around each other, gave space to one another to just be themselves and respected one another’s hardships was so special.
“It’s been different with you, and that’s exciting because it makes me feel…I don’t know…” “Normal,” I offered her, but more to myself. “You make me feel normal.”
I just love them.
Half star deduction because it ended so abruptly. I needed more at the end. Avery and Nick at the ice skating rink? We were robbed. I could definitely see this becoming a series because I care so much about what’s going to happen to the side characters and their relationships. So more please 🫴🏻
This was really cute. I love a good fake dating trope and throw in a hot hockey player? Sold.
I don't think I've actually read a pro-hockey player meets model and I love that for the uniqueness.
I thought this was fun and playful. Liam and Serena are both in the spotlight and their agents think they could use some good PR if they fake date after working a campaign together that went well. Why not?
Serena was a great character. I love that we get more in depth with her ADHD and understanding how she copes day to day. I thought this portrayal was written extraordinarily well.
Liam is also a great character who is also dealing with sensory issues and trying to cope daily. He likes his alone time and likes to be in control. He doesn't necessarily want to push Serena away but he just wants to do the right thing - the easier thing.
I absolutely LOVED Liam's parents. Daddy Richter is the man and Mama Richter is hilarious. "I'm not allowed to talk to you" - I genuinely chuckled.
Also. Huge fan of Ryan. Want more of him.
There were so many times I laughed and thought "aw cute". Also, LOVE me a book with short chapters because before you know it you're flying through the book and invested!
A few things that just bumped this down FOR ME:
As much as I loved these characters, I did feel like their character traits were a little messy. I don't mean that in a negative way - I just mean that I wish I could see more character development happening. It happened and I'm glad they could grow but I feel like I blinked and it happened. I think I missed the initial "I love you's" and that bummed me out a little, too.
I was kind of confused by Liam's personality and just wish we had more of a breakdown. I thought Serena's personality was written exceptionally well and love that we had clarification for her thoughts and feelings.
I also felt like the ending happened really quick and before you know it, it's over. I really wanted Nick and Liam to work things out. I wanted some type of closure with Nick and Avery. And what's really going on with Nick? We were left kind of open ended with that. We went from chaos to the end and I just wanted more.
While I really enjoyed the concept and characters, I personally just wanted more in depth developments, that's all.
NOW. I love Sierra's writing. I'm a big fan. And I could totally ignore the fact that those things bothered me or I could lie. I still love her writing and I enjoyed this book. I'm going to continue reading her stories because AGAIN, they're great! I just needed more...
I do recommend this book. If you want a cute hockey/model fake dating romance with a slow burn then you've come to the right place!
"Maybe the storm cloud that followed me on dark days had dimmed all my favorite things into shades of grey, and Liam reminded me what being sun-kissed felt lihe."
"If she genuinely wanted me, i'd get on my knees for her right now, and she could consume me whole. I might even thank her for it after."
"No, changing with Serena wasn't bad at all."

"Model Behavior" by Sierra Spencer is a heartwarming romance that thoughtfully explores ADHD and sensory issues. The story follows Serena and Liam, two well-developed characters who navigate their personal struggles while building a meaningful relationship.
Serena's portrayal as a character with ADHD is both authentic and relatable. Her daily coping mechanisms and inner thoughts are described with clarity that resonates deeply. Liam’s sensory issues and his need for control are portrayed with equal depth, making his journey both poignant and compelling. Their understanding and support for each other create a genuine connection 🥰
Liam’s parents add a wonderful touch of humor, with Mama Richter’s line, "I'm not allowed to talk to you," (😂) being particularly memorable and bringing a light-heartedness to the narrative.
The book’s ending feels a bit rushed, leaving readers wanting more, but the slow-burn romance and character growth are truly satisfying. The mental health representation is exceptional, with both main characters displaying growth and understanding in a realistic manner.
Sierra Spencer skillfully intertwines multiple storylines, making the book engaging from start to finish. The relationships between the characters are well-developed and add depth to the overall narrative.
If you’re looking for a charming hockey/model fake dating romance with realistic mental health representation, "Model Behavior" is a must-read. It's a captivating story of love, understanding, and personal growth that will leave you eager for more.
Thank you Sierra Spencer and Author's Best Friend for the arc.

After reading Eastern Standard and loving it, I was looking forward to whatever Sierra Spencer wrote next. When I found out it was a hockey romance, I was beyond excited!
Model Behavior turned out to be an incredibly cute, fun, and cozy read that I finished in just one day. I couldn’t put it down!
Serena, Liam and the side characters were all well written and I truly hope we get to see more of them in the future. I’m in desperate need of more Avery and Nick! ❤️🔥
Sierra’s portrayal of depression, anxiety and ADHD was incredibly relatable (you should see my notes app 😅 looks just like Serena’s). I loved how Serena and Liam were so understanding of each other what they were going through.
I absolutely loved Model Behavior and I am so happy I was given the opportunity to receive an ARC. 🩵
- 5/5 🌟 - 2/5 🌶️ - Hockey Romance - NHL Captain/Super Model - “You wear my jersey, you’re mine.” - No 3rd act break up - Well written MC’s and side characters making you wish for an interconnected series - Relatable depression, anxiety & ADHD rep - Patient/understanding partners
I knew that I’d love this book because I love anything Sierra writes but I wasn’t prepared for just how much I freaking LOVED this book! I’ve read quite a few hockey romances and this might be my favorite one yet 😍
Serena and Liam had such relatable personalities that I was constantly laughing along with them and blushing too 😆 not to mention that I ATE UP their fake dating relationship / slow burn romance & was swooning over Liam 🥰
I finished it feeling like I wanted it to be longer & like we need a series out of this that expands on the other characters relationships! I loved all of them!
I found a new auto-buy author! I seriously devoured this romance in one sitting. DE-VOU-RED. I am always a fan of a fake-dating trope so the blurb for this book had me sold before I even started it. Plus the MMC plays in the NHL and no third-act break-up?! DOUBLE SOLD. Can't wait to meet the author this week at my first book signing!
I'm mad. I'm mad because this book is over, and I'll be back in a slump because I don't have a hockey romance that can compare. Let me first of all start off with the basics. This is a fluffy, hockey x model romance (if that's even a trope), It got me out of a huge slump, and now I want to read more of her books. It should be a crime to do me like this and all of the readers like this. It may not be as highly rated to some others but to me? To me, this book was everything I needed and more. Liam had me wishing I had a book boyfriend and Serena was just an overall icon the entire book. Avery and Hayley are the best friends we need in life, and Bea is the mother figure we all need. I like how Sierra also hit some good topics that can still be covered up as fluffy at the end of the day. If I was reading anything for the short time I was reading this book, it was this. I think that's all I have to say!
“Model Behavior” by Sierra Spencer is an engaging romance novel that delves into the complex lives of Serena MacPherson, a high-profile model, and Liam Richter, the newly named captain of the New York Islanders. This story skillfully intertwines the glamorous world of modeling with the intense realm of professional hockey, offering readers a captivating tale of love, personal challenges, and the authenticity of human connection. Serena MacPherson is a model at the peak of her career, living in the fast-paced world of New York City. Her life takes an intriguing turn when she meets Liam Richter at a photoshoot. Their immediate attraction is undeniable, but it's their respective agents' suggestion of a fake dating arrangement to boost their careers that sets the plot in motion. This arrangement, initially meant to be a publicity stunt, brings Serena and Liam into each other's orbits, revealing the vulnerabilities they each struggle with. Serena effortlessly integrates into Liam's circle of family and friends, and Liam, in turn, enjoys spending time with Serena’s friends. This mutual acceptance further strengthens their bond, showcasing a balanced and supportive partnership.
Liam's sensory issues, including problems with bright lights and loud noises, are a stark contrast to the chaotic environment of professional sports and media attention. Serena, on the other hand, battles ADHD and often feels like she is too much for those around her. Despite their individual challenges, they find solace and stability in each other’s presence. This mutual grounding effect makes their fake relationship unexpectedly comforting and genuine. As they navigate their staged romance, the lines between pretend and reality begin to blur. Both Serena and Liam start developing real feelings, leading to moments of introspection and doubt about whether their emotions are reciprocated. Spencer effectively captures this transition from a calculated arrangement to a heartfelt relationship, making the characters' journey relatable and emotionally resonant. When an article threatens their happiness, Liam and Serena must evaluate the people in their lives and who they can trust.
In conclusion, I gave this book 5 stars because Spencer's portrayal of Serena and Liam's relationship is heartfelt and authentic. The characters are well-developed, with their personal struggles and growth depicted with sensitivity and realism. The author’s handling of ADHD and sensory issues is commendable, offering insight into how these conditions affect individuals and their relationships. The resolution of the conflict is both satisfying and believable, emphasizing the importance of trust, communication, and standing together in the face of adversity. "Model Behavior" is a beautifully crafted romance that will appeal to readers who enjoy stories about love blossoming amidst personal and professional challenges.
ᯓ✦ “i guess change isn’t so bad when you’re doing it with someone else.”
model behavior was such a breath of fresh air, an easy read. i fell in love with the tropes—fake dating, hockey captain x model, forced proximity. serena being a model was such a fun job and the reason i picked up this book originally, as i’ve never read any with that plot (very open to recs!!). their chemistry was undeniable and so much tension existed between them at all times.
serena is truly one of my favorite fmcs i’ve ever read about. she was so bubbly and warm, a ray of sunshine as liam called her. but she also had depth with her adhd and dark days. i loved reading her inner monologue and thought process, which were so relatable and vulnerable. serena represented strength and inspired so many people around her. she was always so aware of how she was acting with liam, careful to not push his boundaries. she protected her best friends and wanted the best for everyone, even when she didn’t necessarily like them. watching her with nick was truly such a tell of character, as she couldn’t help but empathize for him despite her dislike. serena always advocated for herself and liam, never letting their agents or the media get to them beyond the surface.
liam is such a sweet, golden retriever mmc. he struggles with his mental health, often feeling overstimulated by his surroundings and uncomfortable with change. he keeps a strict, color coded calendar and is the most active calendar invite user ever. and i adored him. he was so cute. protective of his heart, he was worried that getting close to serena would lead to hurt. yet he always stood up for her, supported her, and was honest with her. i feel like he represented so many individuals that experience similar struggles, allowing representation for these mental hardships. liam was such a good friend as well, always there for his teammates and putting in the work.
i loved this book but i feel like it only scratched the surface. there wasn’t as much depth for each of the characters beyond their mental health, and i wanted to feel like i knew them inside and out. the first part of this book was pretty slow burn, but by the second half, it sped up a LOT. i wanted to see more of how their relationship unfolded and get to know each of them more. i’m really looking forward to future sierra spencer books though and know her writing will continue to improve!

Thank you @sierraspencerbooks & @authorsbestfriend for the ARC!! 🩵🏒
After reading Sierra’s book, Eastern Standard - I knew I was hooked on her writing and would read anything else she wrote. And this just further confirms that fact.
Liam, our MMC is a professional hockey player - he is confident and collected on the ice, but outside of that he is more reserved and insecure about how he processes things and how he has sensory issues, due to his ex having a problem with it and no one in his life understanding him. His agent books him a shoot, which he is not comfortable at or with, until Serena comes in. Her job as a model is being confident and comfortable in front of the camera, and she helps ease Liam’s nerves with the chaos surrounding them in the shoot. The world ends up loving the chemistry between them from the photos on the GQ magazine cover and their agents decide fake dating would be a PR dream 😏
Liam and Serena both hold brave faces to the world but inside they hide who they really are. Liam struggles with loud noises, bright lights, overwhelming crowds, and struggles with her dark times. They are a match made in chaos, they butt heads at first while they try to figure their boundaries as a fake couple. Their growth together was so heartwarming - they were exactly what the other needed, they understood each other and are understanding of the other’s differences. They’re so relatable it made their story so engaging. I laughed with their banter, I was angry with everyone who judged them, their fake dating was such a hoot. I wish it was longer, I want more of them 😭😭 I hope we get some of the side characters stories because I need their stories too!!
It was like a war hug, or coming home from a long trip and laying in your own bed. Definitely going to be a comfort read for me 🥹🫶🏻
What to expect: 📸 Model FMC 🏒 Hockey Player MMC 🧠 Mental Health Rep (Sensory Issues x ADHD) 🫂 Forced Proximity 😏 Fake Dating 🌶️ Open Door ❤️🔥 Slooowwww Burn (it’s worth it)
YOU GUYS! This was absolutely precious! I am a HUGE hockey romance fan and I devoured this book! I loooved Liam and Serena 🫶🏼 they are literally made for each other and they made my heart sooo happy!! If you’re looking a romcom with some spice definitely add this one to your TBR! ❤️🔥
I am an actual hockey fan, NY Rangers to be precise and Sierra wrote the first hockey book with so much terminology and game play! I absolutely loved that about this book!! I loved when Serena had to guess terminology in the interview 🤣🤣 What is Apple? 🤣🤣🤣 I was dying!!
I am in love with the mental heath rep in this one! ADHD + anxiety with sensory issues!! Both MMC and FMC have some mental issues and I loved that they both were able to understand each other and be perfect for one another! My whole heart! 🫶🏼
I think Sierra did a wonderful job of building the team and the relationships between everyone on the ice with Liam and Serena! I absolutely loved Ryan and I hope he gets his own book! You really develop a hatred for Nick as a reader but I really hope he gets his own book as well to uncover all his BS from this book!!
Ok so let me break it down..
Liam has just been promoted to captain of the NY Islanders and is prompted by his agent to do some photoshoots. Liam has some sensory issues and ends up kinda freaking out a his first photoshoot. Serena is at the same photoshoot as his stand in model and ends up hitting it off with Liam (by hitting it off I mean these two feel a spark the second Liam puts his hand on her lower back during the shoot) while she calms him down to finish his shoot. The GQ magazine cover is a total smash and their agents decide they should fake date for publicity, and of course Liam and Serena agree…but can these two keep this professional or cave into the tension making the sparks fly??
⭐️5/5 🌶️2/5
📸 fake dating 🏒 professional hockey player + model 📸 one bed 🏒 mental health rep (ADHD, anxiety + sensory) 📸 dual POV 🏒 forced proximity
Please excuse me while I go read my way through the rest of what Author Sierra Spencer has read because this book hit 'YES!' for me on so many levels.
First let me say that there are a lot of romance books with hockey/featuring hockey players out but if you want a hockey romance where you can tell that the author really either enjoys the game or did their research? Mark this one down because I had such a good time reading this book as a hockey fan. The video that Liam and Serena shot for the team social with hockey terms? GIVE ME MORE.
I absolutely adored Liam and Serena as characters. The mental health rep for neurodivergence in this book was ON POINT - you want a book that gives you strangers to friends to lovers with some incredible banter and miscommunication that makes sense instead of just being frustrating as hell and just for drama? Friends, buckle up, because Author Spencer has GOT IT for you.
Look, I love me a fake dating story-line. I am an absolute SLUT for it. But this one was especially *chef’s kiss* for me because both Serena and Liam were benefiting from the arrangement in more equal footing than is usually found. And I’m all here for a power dynamic aspect, don’t get me wrong, but this was just... soft in ways that I didn’t know I needed. You want a book where you get to watch the characters find their person and really feel seen? Run, don’t walk.
Add in the fact that Serena is learning to open herself up to other (female) friendships and that Liam is settling into a leadership role? Stick a fork in me, I’m done. Cannot WAIT for the next book.
The only complaint I have is that the ending felt a little rushed. It may feel different once the next book is out since I think they're going to slide right into each other timeline wise. All I know is that I will be first in line to read it when it comes out.

❣️Review does not contain spoilers:❣️ I thought this book was very sweet. Liam and Serena decided to fake date to help boost their PR appeal, but soon real feelings started to develop and the only thing they wanted was to try a real relationship. I think the representation of Liam’s sensory issues and Serena’s ADHD was great. I liked that they helped support each other and they were the perfect match. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a hockey book.

**SPOILERS** Notes: - I like that she calls him down - Trevor and Bea are interesting together - They are like opposites attract - The texting emojis annoys me – the thumbs up emoji lol - Omg they kissed!! - I love his nicknames for her = mac and sunshine! - Serena has ADHD and she is all over the place. Her brain is moving so fast - OMG her name in his phone is Mac with a sunshine emoji!! - I love the #13 gold chain on her neck - Serena’s pipe busting in her apartment and now she is forced to move in with Liam since he offered - I cannot wait to see Liam in the bedroom and Serena since she hates physical contact - 44% so he has a thing for serena now!! - I think I actually hate his friend Nick and then Liam went and got arrested for punching him 46% - Okay so she has a crush too!! - Finally Liam going to one of serena’s shows! - Not serena at show close stopping to look at Liam - 55% love Ryan!!! - Poor Liam getting hit and Serena finding out about his ex fiancée - I like that Liam’s dad likes her and is so paternal with her. It is so sweet!
Prepare to be completely enchanted by Sierra Spencer's latest masterpiece. When I tell you guys I binged read this book in 24 hours I couldn’t put this book down it had me laughing and eager to read what happens next from beginning to end. The storyline follows Serena MacPherson, a confident and vibrant model, and Liam Richter, a skilled newly appointed hockey captain for the New York Islanders who shies away from the spotlight. When Liam is persuaded to participate in a GQ photoshoot to announce his new role as hockey captain, he finds himself drawn to Serena. As their on-camera chemistry sparks rumors, the line between their professional relationship and fake relationship becomes blurred. Sierra ability to execute the fake dating trope was done very well blending in seamlessly with the characters fashion and hockey storylines that it never felt forced in order to tell the story. The chemistry between Serena and Liam is electric, and their journey is filled with heartwarming moments, snappy dialogue, and a cast of unforgettable characters. From the hilarious and quirky friends to the loving and supportive parents, every character in this story is beautifully written and adds depth to an already captivating narrative. Spencer's writing is addictive, leaving you itching for more, and her ability to explore different storylines while maintaining her signature style is truly impressive. Whether you're a fan of romcoms or hockey romances, this book is an absolute must-read. Sierra Spencer has secured her spot as one of my favorite authors, and I can't wait to read her future works.
This book was fantastic, and I’m obsessed with Serena and Liam. I couldn’t put it down—it had me laughing and giggling, eager to know what would happen next from the very first page.

Tropes: -Fake dating -Slow burn -Forced proximity -Hockey player x supermodel -ADHD rep
I really wanted to rate this one four stars, but I had to be real with myself and rate it three.
This book started out on a good foot — & I was thoroughly enjoying it. But I think the things that threw me for a loop was there not really being any spice at all until 75% which is not really the norm. And then once we got to that 75% mark, everything sped up in a really fast motion which confused me a lot. To me it felt like the writer was just trying to be done writing this book at that point and didn’t know what else to say. So it made the ending kind of awkward for me, which is why I gave this three stars instead of four.
I really did enjoy how this book started and their meet cute. I mean who doesn’t love a hockey star and model together—that are gonna be in a fake relationship? I mean you can’t not love them.
Other things that I noticed was that her nickname was Mac. And all I could think of every time it was said was mac & cheese. And Serena’s name sort of drove me crazy sometimes because she reminded me so much of Serena Van Der Woodsen from Gossip girl. Not only that but the name hint wasn’t very subtle — because someone else had the last name of “Van” 💀🤦🏼♀️
On a positive note, like I said, I really did enjoy their meet cute and their love story. These two were meant to be together. And some of the quotes I highlighted from this book had me drooling!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Serena and Liam's chemistry was off the charts!! This was such a slow burn and nearly killed me waiting for them to officially date. They had such wonderful communication!
I've never had a book so accurately represent my anxiety and sensory overload issues. I'm so Liam. I adored the way Serena treated Liam like he was normal (because he is and so am I, this book reminded me). Serena and Liam deeply understood each other from literally day one. Their love was absolutely beautiful to watch unfold. "Shouldn't we hold out for the person who doesn't just tolerate our little quirks, but actually kind of likes them?" (Ted on How I Met Your Mother) This is the love Serena and Liam have. Please go check out Sierra Spencer's books on Kindle Unlimited and her website!!
Things I Loved ❤️ LOVED their first kiss!!! Their daily FaceTimes! Liam's standing ovation for Serena at her fashion show 3 iced chai's and 3 bagels lol No third act breakup The friend group and their relationships
When life gets rough, Sierra’s books always manage to help me get by. Serena’s cloudy days were all too relatable and this book was exactly what I needed, a warm ray of sunshine that had me hoping it would last forever.
Folks this book had me snorting, laughing, and kicking my feet every single page. The entire time I was reading I didn’t know what I wanted more - to give Serena and Liam a giant hug for being so loveable, or for them to be real so I could find a way to sneak myself into their friend group. (Probably the latter so I could get my own mug, iykyk).
Also, I think it’s only fair to admit that I relate to Avery a little *too* well. Maybe one day we’ll both learn….
Can’t forget to give Sierra a HUGE thank you (as always) for giving me an extra early ARC of Model Behavior. So excited for the rest of the world to get to meet Serena, Liam, Avery, Hayley, and the rest of the loveable gang!
After reading, loving, and obsessing over Eastern Standard, seeing that Sierra’s upcoming book was a hockey romance - I was ecstatic. 🥅🏒⛸️
Model Behavior was such a cute and cozy read that I couldn’t (and wouldn’t) put down. I loved the depth to all the characters. Sierra’s portrayal of heavy topics like depression, anxiety and ADHD were handled with such care and compassion. The relatability. I loved how Liam and Serena met each other where they were with those struggles. Overall just really enjoyed this book. I did however think the ending was rather abrupt and wish there was more towards the end of the book.
** Edit - now that I know that there’s a second book in the series coming out, the end of the book makes more sense to me.
Overall, I adored Model Behavior and am thrilled to have had the chance to receive an ARC. 🖤
🏒 rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📸 no third act break up 🏒 model x nhl captain 📸 relatable representation of depression, anxiety, ADHD 🏒 holy hockey romance 🥵
I LOVED this book! It made me so happy, pretty sure I had a huge dopey smile on my face the whole time 😊 The only disappointment was that it ended. Give me more Serena and Liam!! This sweet romance starts as fake dating and ends with all the real feelings. I truly loved how relatable the characters were, even with spectacular jobs they had real life struggles that we all experience. The way they balanced each other out just added to the sweetness of their relationship and great chemistry. And can we talk about all the fun side characters, Liam's parents were just perfect, and all of their friends a great supporting cast, I’m really hoping we get more books with them, I could for sure go for some more Ryan. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book immediately, you will not be disappointed.

This was my first book by Sierra and I really enjoyed it! It was such an easy and quick read. The story flowed so easily and kept me wanting more. The banter was excellent 👌🏼 Liam and Serena were adorable together and really helped each other out. They both understood each other so well and truly wanted to be better for each other. It was nice to see how well they worked together with both of their quirks and insecurities. I’m excited to see what’s coming next from Sierra!
Ahh, it was refreshing to see Sierra skillfully write about characters that deal with overstimulation on a daily basis, seeing as I deal with that as well.
I love how Serena noticed Liam's discomfort from the first time they met and knew exactly what to do to help him relax. (just beautiful 🥹)
These characters brought the best out of one another and I love how Serena's friends were incorporated into the story with the other hockey players. Hopefully this book will be turned into a series so we can see how the other relationships turn out. 👀
I am never prepared for Sierra's books to end. They seem like they are cute and fun read, but they really dig their claws in to your emotions. There was so much character building - and the tropes were perfect.
This book made me feel so seen. The descriptions of the sensory issues and the ADHD symptoms were so relatable to my personal struggles.
Pick up this one if you enjoy: * NHL Captain x Supermodel * PR relationship * A jersey moment * Depression, anxiety, and ADHD rep * Slow burn
Another amazing book by Sierra. This was definitely the perfect read for this rainy weekend. The book was so enjoyable I laughed so hard I woke my husband up. We follow model Serena and hockey captain Liam who meet on a photoshoot. Liam and Serena have a dilema to pretend to be a couple or just go about their way. The fake dating trope is everything in this book, the banter and cast of characters make this book even more amazing. The minute these two interact I fell in love. Can’t wait for the next one from Sierra.
2.4⭐️ It wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t all that great either. I liked the two main characters, but the way the story was written wasn’t really good. And, I wished it would’ve been a longer book. The slow burn, wasn’t really a slowburn, it could’ve been much longer. And the story happened over like 2 months, so it was really fast paced but it would’ve been much better if it hadn’t been. Anyways, it’s a good light read for new book enjoyers, in my opinion, but not for people who have read good books already
5/5 Thank you, Sierra Spencer, for giving me the opportunity to read your book. I really enjoyed Serena and Liam story the dedication had me as soon as I opened this beautiful masterpiece. I highly recommend anyone to read this novel. Favorite quotes: "My favorite Serena." "It's been different with you, and that's exciting because it makes me feel...I don't know..." "Normal," I offered her, but more to myself. "You make me feel normal."
I love these two so much. I need more of your books.
