What started as something very promising unfortunately ended in sadness. Caroline and Alex had a connection or so she thought, because after a warm and exciting moment he disappears and she is left sad and with question marks. Later when they see each other again it is for sad reasons, due to the loss of her brother. She then also finds out the reason why he disappeared is because he and her brother were best friends. Will they take the second chance and can Alex make it clear to Caroline that he really cares about her and wants a second chance?

Alex and Caroline had an intimate outing and then he was gone. What she didn't know was that Alex was her brother's best friend and because of it ended anything that could happen between them. They meet again when she is heartbroken over the loss of her brother. She is looking to start her life over and he has an offer. Their path begins again but will it lead them in the direction to happiness giving all the past drama.

I loved this book, it's a beautiful and heartfelt story. The characters are great and the storyline captivated me from the start. I couldn't put it down until I finished. Highly recommend reading. Look forward to reading more from the author.

WOW Jane can write some of the ABSOLUTE BEST military romance books ever. Her hero Alex is HOT, LOVABLE, STRONG, and COMPLICATED all mixed together...I just loved Alex and Caroline and their second chance.
