She had to find a way to make it without him... Now they have to make a way to be together.
7 years ago Kye had been trying to get her life together when she fell in love with Wyatt, a Navy Seal. But his betrayal sent her running to her best friend Toby and a life of danger in the DEA.
Now in Morocco on a training exercise, Kye's path crosses with Wyatt, who is now no longer a Navy Seal and is working for his family's shipping company. Wyatt is determined to get back what he lost, but as he starts to uncover more and more about who Kye really is, Wyatt realizes that he never really knew Kye.
Misunderstandings of both the past and the present, along with the help of two people determined to keep them apart, threaten to sever any tie between the two star-crossed lovers. Kye and Wyatt must FIND A WAY to get over the past to make a life together, but is their love enough? Or will they have to MAKE THEIR WAY on their own?
The following story contains violence, sexual situations, and strong language. It is intended for a mature audience.
By the time I was 5, I had lived in Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia, Nevada and Virginia. Since then I have always lived in Virginia, except for when I attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
I live in Virginia, the extreme Southwestern part of Virginia. I am actually closer to 7 other state capitals than I am my own!
I am married to a wonderful man who is both the love of my life and my best friend.
All my life I have had stories running around in my head, so I finally decided to write them down!
If I could describe this book in one word it would be... REFRESHING. Kye is the main character in this book and let me tell you.. SHE IS A BADASS. Kye is a kick ass female DEA agent that has had her fair share of troubles and tribulations in her life. She lost her best friend, but gained a family...and in the midst of returning to work she is reunited with Wyatt, the guy who broke her heart many years before. I'm all for the strong, alpha male in books but it was a good change of pace to read a book where the female was STRONG and did not give into the male within the first 5 pages. E.C. Kelly does a great job of making you feel like you are in the book. I got lost in this book and finished it on the way home from spring break vacation.
My feels(a gif collage of how I felt while reading this book): This is for you WYATT..
This is for you SABLE.. [image error]
But at the end of the book I was happy crying and thinking why are you over?!?!
I dont want to give details away this book has you reeling with questions and alot aren't even answered until about 65% in. Aside from the errors the story line was great but no spaces, mispelled words, and missing letters it was hard to read. Kye has been through hell and back and then gets her heart broken by Wyatt. Lots of drama, kidnapping, DEA, sex slaves, lives lost it was an interesting book that keep me intrigued. It had alot of twists and turns and great ending.
The story line was great, it kept me turning the page. However, the writing was awful. There were so many typos, grammatical errors, and just misspelled words that my eyes hurt. Not to mention the constant switching of homophones. There, their, and they're. To, two, and too. There is a difference. Whoever edited this book doesn't belong in this field. Also, the writing style was very childish. The content was very mature with a few explicit scenes, but the voice of the book sounded like a kid telling the story. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the plot was interesting.
