Tiffany Reisz is my all-time favorite author and I just can't go wrong with her. Her stories are always so high-quality, witty, thought-provoking, and absolutely out-of-the-box! I've been yearning for a Sinners fix ever since I finished "The Original Sinners - Red Years" series last winter and this novella was perfect.

Scars and Stripes takes place three years before The Siren. Nora has left Soren and while working in the 8th Circle, comes across a sexy Navy SEAL Lance. As always, Tiffany Reisz never disappoints with her smart, edgy, & erotic scenes and though short, I loved the witty banter and time Nora and Lance spent together here.

The novella ends with Kingsley revealing they're all in danger. Under normal circumstances I'd definitely view this kind of ending as a cliffhanger; however Tiffany Reisz really knows how to soften the blow of such a suspenseful & abrupt ending and now all I'm ready to do is dive into the next installment...

‘What do you want to do, Sailor?’

‘Anything you want, Mistress. Anything at all.

Tiffany Reisz continues to rock my socks off with everything she writes. I will never ever pass up more Mistress Nora! She continues to be my favorite heroine of all time. I love her to pieces! I really liked the character Lance who was introduced to us as well.

This short novella takes place 3 years before The Siren. Nora has left Soren a few years ago and is working at the 8th circle. She meets Navy Seal, Lance, and is taken by him. He proves to be a worthy sub and she has a little fun with him... I’m really looking forward to continuing on with these novellas!

Great start to this new mini series with some of my favorite Original Sinners characters and one great new addition.

This first book begins with our Nora (Dominatrix) picking up a former Navy Seal, Lance at the 8Th Circle's VIP bar.

"I'm Mistress Nora. Nice to beat you."

These two have one hot session and Nora kinda breaks some of her own rules with Lance. Unforunately, bad news is delivered to her dugeon door and their time together is cut short until the next installment.

**The Last Good Knight: An Original Sinners novella told in five parts.

"Nothing pleases me more than a powerful woman."

The Last Good Knight novellas take place 3 years before the start of The Siren. Nora has just turned 30 and is the most famous Dominatrix in The 8th circle!

Part 1: Scars and Stripes is an introduction into The 8th Circle and Kingsley's empire. It sets the scene and the story unfolds……

A newcomer in the form of a sexy ex-Navy Seal attracts the attention of our Mistress. It's lust at first sight for Nora who's taking full advantage of her freedom from all things collar related.

Her time with Lance is interrupted! There’s danger afoot.

The Lovely Feelings
The first episode in The Last Good Knight serial, reminded me of my ADORATION for The Original Sinners series. All the lovely and sometimes intense feelings came back to me about Nora and Soren's history. Their good and bad times, and the 'times' they experienced with others.

We learn a little about our newbie, Lance, and his submissively sexy ways; his desire is to please women, ALWAYS, which is just divine!

Tiffany Reisz sucked me into yet another story from The Original Sinners series. I will ALWAYS want more, because the world she created and continues to create is so damn good! This is a must read for all fans of TOS.

The Original Sinners series information

“I’ll follow anywhere you lead, especially if you have my cock in your hand.”

This story takes place three years before The Siren and two years after Nora left Søren.

Back at The 8th Circle, Nora has just gotten her little sub taken away from her by Søren, not one to sit back and sulk (much), a newbie catches her eye. Lance, a new employ of Kingsley, is taking a tour of the club and to see if it's a place for him to find release and peace from the troubles of his mind. Even as an ex-Navy Seal, his defenses are useless when dealing with the Queen herself, Mistress Nora.
“Come play with me. Submit to me."

Deciding right then and there, this one is special, Nora doesn't charge for her services for tonight, she wants him to fuck her. This perfect specimen of a man, is not only a submissive but an true gentlemen who has his need to serve woman ingrained in him. She can't think of one better than to share her bed with...and just when they're getting to round 2 or 3, (kinda lost count) news of a threat comes their way and she has no choice but to leave Lance behind and follow the one man who she vowed never to follow again.

The Last Good Knight Part I: Scars and Stripes is the first in the five part serial, it is the beginning of Lance and Nora's story, while we all know how Nora's life ends up, we can't help but read about the men of her past. Deliciously sexy and erotic, smart and witty, it was a great reminder at how much I missed this world of theirs. Onto the next ...

The Last Good Knight Series takes place three years before The Siren.

Screenshot_15

These are short installments that give you a bit more of Nora, just two years after leaving Soren and deciding to top rather than bottom. Nora is watching her sub walk away with a man that she can’t seem to escape when a stranger catches her eye. Lance is new to the 8th Circle... he is submissive, he is the hero type and he is Nora’s next conquest. But their single night of passion is interrupted when an event happens that places all the women of Kingsley’s club in danger.

I have fallen completely in love with Tiffany Reisz’s writing. This series captivated me from the start and once I finished The Siren, I was done for. The simple fact that she can recapture you in such a short amount of time is a testament to the pure talent this woman has. Nora Sutherland is one of those characters that you love and just want to know everything about.

Lance appears to be the perfect distraction for Nora to let a little more of Soren go. He kneels at her feet, not just to submit to her but because he truly wants to worship at them. This is one of those series that could go on forever. I can’t get enough of all of these characters, it could be a steamy new encounter or just Nora perched at her desk typing away on a new book... I just want more.

***4 Stars***

It's been a while since I've been back to the 8th Circle. One paragraph into the book and it was like coming home. I know exactly what I'm going to get when I visit, and this first installment in the serial did not disappoint.

The story takes place 3 years before The Siren. Nora's at the 8th Circle enjoying a typical Nora evening, when a man catches her eye. He's got submission in his posture and trouble in his eyes...Nora is immediately drawn to him. They quickly strike up an erotic "get to know you" conversation, one only Nora can treat as delicious foreplay. After getting to know Lance, the ex-Navy SEAL and down to the bone submissive, Nora decides that she'd love nothing more than to spend the evening playing with him.

"What do you want to do, Sailor?"

"Anything you want, Mistress. Anything at all."

"That's a dangerous word around here. Let's go find out what you mean by ANYTHING."

It's quickly apparent that these two have some great, sizzling chemistry. Nora is drawn to Lance's quiet and rigid strength. She finds herself thinking of more than one night with Lance, though she quickly pushes those thoughts to the side. She likes him, likes his charm, his honesty, his obedient submission. And frankly, I like him too!

"I'm going to beat the shit out of you tonight and fuck you. And then probably fuck you again, and you call me a lady?"

"Yes, Mistress. Nothing unladylike about any of that. Not in my eyes."

Nora and Lance are sharing a night of pure lust, desire and uninhibited play...but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Maybe a little bit more abruptly than Nora would have liked...

I seriously love Tiffany Reisz's writing. I know these characters so well, that even the mention of their names brings back a flood of memories. And what Tiffany Reisz does so well is use those memories to build scenes. She makes something that would have been good, great. Adds an extra layer of connection and emotion.

"I don't know anyone who can put someone back together by breaking them apart like he can. You leave him with your body limping and your heart soaring."

"Is that what you're doing to me?"

"Are you limping yet?"

"No, Mistress. Soaring."

A great taste of what's to come. I've taken a bite and I want more. Off to see where this leads...

How I've missed a Tiffany Reisz writing! This book is the first of this short but oh-so-spicy mini series that takes place three years prior to The Mistress.

Mistress Nora is without her beloved Dom and now painfully free she is thriving as a very talented Dominatrix at Kingsley's BDSM club. What was shaping up to be a slow night at The 8th Circle, changes the minute Lance walks in the door and Nora saw him all nervous and handsome. Lance has the all american boy look, ex-Navy Seal who recently started working for King and is trying the club for the first time. He is a submissive and when Nora propositions him for a night of play, this sweet and handsome man wants nothing more than to please his Mistress. <3

Mistress Nora is a total badass and my idol when it comes to female heroines. I simply can't get enough, her character is so complex and extensive that a million stories can come from her and I hope TR never stops writing them. How I wish I could be a dominatrix and rule the world as Nora does, maybe one day, at least I own a pair of black leather knee high boots already, LOL!!!

"I’m Mistress Nora. Nice to beat you.”

This series of novellas takes place three years before The Siren. Nora is in all her witty, sexy glory as a dominatrix. It all beings with her meeting a new guy at the 8th Circle. Lance is a former Navy SEAL and submissive looking for a Dom. I am always a sucker for the banter and dialogue in Tiffany Reisz books and it was no exception here. Within the first few pages of Nora and Lance meeting I was grinning like an idiot and hanging on every word. They have great chemistry and it’s not long before Nora is taking Lance to her playroom.

”What do you want to do, Sailor?”
“Anything you want, Mistress. Anything at all.”
“That’s a dangerous word around here. Let’s go find out what you mean by anything.”

Things between them are cut short when they are interrupted and told some concerning news about a fellow kinkster. On to the next!

4.5 Stars!! Smutty good fun with Mistress Nora and a scrumptious ex-Navy SEAL!!

Once again I was taken with Tiffany Reisz’s writing and snickered and squirmed my way through The Last Good Knight. Nora, Nora, Nora…she takes center stage again and she never fails to amuse me with her snarky comments and commanding feisty attitude. But, I also enjoy seeing her tender side, which Lance really brought out in her. I loved the relationship that these two formed, in and out of the dungeon! If you’ve read The Original Sinners series then you know Nora’s destiny, but it’s fun to read about her adventures and the men she falls for along the way. She has a huge heart even though she rules with an iron whip! There is no doubt that Lance was a man, had the situation been different, that would have knelt before her forever.

As much as I love Nora, what made this read for me was the appearance of Soren! He’s a 10+ star character! He’s intoxicating and there’s something about him that just turns me inside out! I LOVE HIM!! Every time I read about him I want to shout…Halleluiah!! He makes me giddy with glee!! Even though Nora’s head says no to Soren her heart needs him, and when these two “play”, it’s explosive! It was fun going back in time with them and seeing where their relationship is at in this stage of the game.

I just wanted a smidge more in the end where it pertained to Lance and I was a little disappointed; I was smitten with his character and felt the need to know more. However, Tiffany Reisz has written about side characters in shorts of their own, so maybe, just maybe, we’ll hear about Lance again!

Behind all the kink, witty banter and sexy good fun, is a touching story about loss and heartache. I read in the author’s acknowledgements that the basis for this story is real life events. It made me contemplate about what I’d read and it also made me very sad. I hope that other readers think about this story too and understand that while it was an enjoyable fictional read, the circumstances that Lance was dealing with happens to people in real life. I’d say that Tiffany Reisz accomplished what she set out to do; give readers an entertaining story with some of our favorite characters and made a very valid point.

Tiffany Reisz is in a league of her own. No one can quite write erotic comedy with a rich complex story the way she does, and for that reason she’s one of my favorite authors and I worship her!

**One more thing before I go that I feel is worth a mention.** This is part of a serial series, which I’m normally not a fan of. HOWEVER, Tiffany Reisz is only charging $0.99 for each short, which for such an accomplished author is a steal, and is releasing them in 5 consecutive days. She’s also a generous author and has given readers many free juicy tidbits, which I appreciate very much. So, in my opinion…the price is right and she doesn’t leave us hanging, the story completes itself in 5 days. I do wish that eventually, and I’m sure she will, release these books as one complete novella.

3 STARS
”I do see a lady in this room, the most beautiful lady I’ve seen in a long time. She’s strong, smart and completely comfortable with who and what she is. She also understands the men who want to serve at her feet.”
“I’m going to beat the shit out of you tonight and fuck you. And then probably fuck you again.”

All that.

And a top hat to boot.

So an Original Sinners novella that takes place between the The White and Red Years. Roughly after Eleanor left Soren to work as a Domme in The 8th Circle but before she got her clit ring (I need some clarification on the timeline based on this one). Of course it’s going to be The Eleanor/Nora’s Fantastical Vagina and It’s Sidemen Show kind of thing, so this is me picking my battles with our kinky heroine.

I’m guessing with Nora’s vague references about Soren during her session with the club noob Lance plus the amount of googly eyes Soren and Nora make at each other being all sexual tensiony the break up has been pretty recent. Having read The Saint and finished The Red Years, I think this is as good a jump off point to get introduced in the series as The Siren. Though, fair warning, it hardly showcases Tiffany Reisz strong points of clever dialogue and intriguing heroes.
”I knew it. SEAL,” she said. “Give me a second to pat myself on the back.”
She reached her arm around her shoulder and swatted herself awkwardly.
“This is harder than it looks,” she said. “Don’t laugh at me.” Nora switched arms and tried patting herself from around and behind her back. “I’m going to keep doing this until you admit you’re a SEAL.”

The wit felt a bit flat for me bordering on cheesy try-hard while the dialogue came across robotic. But then Kingsley hasn’t made his requisite appearance so there’s hope yet. Scars and Stripes suffered the generic issue I have with BDSM books where the kink play scenes veers towards operation manual procedure. Of the ‘go here, kneel there, give me a number, make me come’ variety. Which is unfair to The Original Sinners canon because it hardly falls prey to that pitfall, undoubtedly.

I like that this addressed that little conundrum in my head about the fine line in the Sub-Dom dynamic. When the sub’s desire ceases to be his/her own’s and defers to satisfying his/her dom’s, it makes the entire exercise, in the aspect of the giving and taking of pleasure, too tricky to follow coherently. This also provided some vivid detail on the 8th circle as a business establishment, something I always appreciate in Reisz’ novellas from this series.

Being familiar with Reisz' oeuvre, I can’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed with Scars and Stripes but I do confess that the promise of more Soren just makes it impossible for me not to continue.

5 Mistress Nora Stars

Tiffany Reisz packs a mean punch. Her exquisite writing & plots hit the readers hard with each novel, novella, & short story she releases. And especially those stories revolving around my favorite sinners, characters built of brilliance, snark, passion, and depth.

Nora blazes back into our lives in Scars and Stripes. I missed Mistress Nora, big time. Her wit, her snark, her ability to make the reader crumble at her feet while she's breaking a lover all encompass why she's the alpha female. A woman with power Nora is.

She meets Lance in the 8th Circle on her 30th birthday. Lance matches her wit and snark with a completely hot, submissive attitude. Nora becomes smitten and the beautiful debauchery ensues. I can't wait to learn more about him. Nora calls him 'troubled' when she first lays eyes on him, and as always with the mystery of Reisz's it's imperative I find out why. And yes, Soren makes to commanding appearances as well.

Scars and Stripes occurs three years before The Siren so if you haven't head the pleasure of reading The Original Sinners, which seriously if you haven't - go read it now, prepare for spoilers. If you have read the Original Series you're going to love this. References to the series weave in and out of Nora and Lance's first meeting, little things to remind you of the beauty of this author's work and the staying power her characters hold. And of course at the end, Reisz leaves us panting for more when Soren delivers less than ideal news. Can't wait to move through these stories on Nora's latest titillating journey.

REEEEAAAALLLY good.

Much better and hotter than the other M/F BDSM book I am currently reading, which I gladly put down to start this one.

I loved getting inside Nora's head again in the first part of a new serial series by Ms. Tiffany Reisz. This short, taking place 3 years before the Original Sinners series, featured a kinkalicous scene with Nora and a Navy Seal... I mean, what could be better?

Can't wait for the next installment!

"You say green and I'll give you more.
You say yellow and I'll pull back the pace.
You say red and I drop the whip and we play with a new toy.
Got it?"
"Yes, Mistress."
"Good. Also, if you want, you can say 'Ouch'.
And that won't stop anything at all."
At that she let the whip fly.

The Original Sinners Series are one of my favorite dark reads ever, that's why I was excited to read this short story, but above all I wanted to read it, because I love (read= prefer) Nora as a bad-ass Dominatrix, because frankly she bores me as Søren's little, obedient submissive and this story gave me just what I wanted: Nora as a vicious Dominatrix in all her glory, plus additional bonus- one smoking hot ex Navy Seal sub at her mercy. Tiffany Reisz is one of rare author's whose books with Bdsm romance I actually like, because she excels at writing them.

Two words: HOTNESS OVERLOAD!

The plot takes place three years before The Siren (Original Sinners, #1) when she was working for Kingsley at The 8th Circle as a Dominatrix. The story was as usual fun, sensual, provocative, dark & way-too-hot. Nora as a Dominatrix was effing awesome! I hope she never goes back to her old submissive ways. Yes, I said it, so flog me all you Søren's fans, I don't care!

The story's only flaw : It was only 30 pages long. I still don't see the point of cutting the novel in 30 pages long parts, well aside the profit, but it is, how it is. All in all, Original Sinners fans will be very, very satisfied. Get it? Exactly ;).

"You are good, Mistress."
Lance turned back to face the wall.
"I've never been with a Domme who plays as hard as you."
"I appreciate that. I trained under the best sadist in the world."

A new chapter into the life of Nora is always so illuminating. In this serial, Mistress Nora is two years in her denial of her love connection with Søren.  She's now a highly paid dominatrix who is looking for a good time and not a lover. A new member immediately attracts her attention. Who isn't drawn to a sexy military man? To top it off, he's a masochist submissive who loves to worship a female. He's made for Nora!

Ms. Reisz starts this serial off easy with a new character. It quickly culminates to an erotic sexual interlude and finishes with an orgasm denial. Ms. Reisz writes her stories so well where she uses BDSM play in her writing method to tease and torment a reader. It's a delight and this story is a good start. I'm not fond of serials and fortunately, I'm reading these one after another. The ending of part one is well done. It's a good stopping point for the next episode. Recommended for kinky readers who enjoy femdom.

So… a SEAL walks into The 8th Circle and runs into Mistress Nora. Yap! She was on that like a duck on a junebug. You know what else that means? KEXY TIMES!!!
description

Few authors are skilled enough to write cheeky kinky erotica. Tiffany Reisz is such a writer. If I don't chuckle a couple of times while reading her work, something is amiss. No worries. Nora is as irreverent as ever. Even when she's in full-on dominatrix mode, she still makes me snort. It's a gift.

This series takes place three years prior to The Siren, so she and Søren are still on the outs and, seemingly, a bit competitive with one another. Frankly, I'm excited to see where this is headed.

Lance is a former SEAL who's probably got some baggage to go along with that scar on his back from IED debris. It wasn't delved into in this installment, but I've no doubt it's coming. At any rate, Lance is glorious.
description
He's an alpha, polite, eager to please, neat, a masochist… Cheeezus!!!
description

I'll take a Lance to go, please. Or as Nora says…
"Lance, I like the way you kink."

Indeed.

This first installment kind of ended on a cliff. Thankfully, NetGalley was kind enough to give me all five, so no cliffs for me! YAY!

I would like to thank NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this in exchange for my honest opinion.

Being a huge fan of The Original Sinners series I was thrilled to learn that there would be a novella to help shorten the excruciating wait for The Saint. I have to say The Last Good Knight was more than I expected it to be. I thought it would be a story about Nora from the time when she was a Dominatrix, and Lance, an ex-Navy SEAL sub. And it was, but it was so much more. Each part had something special, and each gave a valuable insight in Nora's life before everything changed in The Siren.
“I’m Mistress Nora. Nice to beat you.”

I'd say it was a pleasure to meet Mistress Nora in her castle that is The 8th Circle, but it was an even greater pleasure to meet Lance. Male submissives are one of the characters I enjoy reading about most, and reading about Lance was a particularly joyful experience... Lance was like a dream, a hero from a fairy tale. Kinky fairy tale, which is the best kind of fairy tale, if you ask me.

As I said, each part had something different that I loved about it. In part one it was that we got to see Nora on her home turf playing with a sub. It was very fun and interesting, like it always is with Nora. Plus, as much as it was great to read about a night in the dungeon of Mistress Nora and learning some bits and pieces about Lance, I have to admit that Søren's short appearance was something I equally enjoyed. Perhaps even more. Especially at the end. Speaking of the end, that little cliffy had me jumping into part two right away...

Mark your calendars for the week of May 6 when Ms. Reisz releases this 5 book serial on 5 consecutive days. Each part is priced at $0.99 (I can only see the Canadian prices, so it may be less in USD). Each part is about 20-24 pages long. I am not sure if it will be sold as a full book later on, although it appears to be the case in the UK. Each part ends on a little cliffhanger, so you may want to purchase the whole set and have it all available at once. Luckily, there isn't a big wait between installments.

These are short little snippets of Nora's life three years before The Siren and they do offer some background information about her life as a Domme in Kingsley's 8th Circle Club. In the first "chapter" Nora meets a new sub named Lance who also happens to be Kingsley's new employee. Nora is attracted to Lance not only because he is well built and good looking, but also by his actions. She is touched when he leaves a $10 tip for a $7 drink. Lance is a real gentleman and is eager to please. Nora introduces Lance to her dungeon and things are going great until there is a knock at the door.

What would an episode in Nora's life be without Soren or some sort of mention of Soren?

These short chapters are very quick reads and I loved how Nora's personality shines through each one. Nora introducing herself: "I'm Mistress Nora. Nice to beat you." I adored Lance - what a cutie.

The Last Good Knight should appeal to Tiffany Reisz's fans, especially those eagerly awaiting the release of The Saint.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin MIRA for a review copy of this book.

‘I’m Mistress Nora. Nice to beat you.’

Tiffany Reisz does it again. Delivers another exceptional book for the devoted TOS fans!

Her writing is hypnotizing and so very compelling.
Mixing wittiness with erotica with a dash of forbidden darkness thrown in, only Miss. Reisz can do it so well!

‘What do you want to do, Sailor?’

‘Anything you want, Mistress. Anything at all.’

I can just imagine Mistress Nora sitting on her throne in her dungeon like a character out of GOT sitting on the iron throne.

The character of Nora is soooo well written, she has this air around her which makes you want to say 'Your wish is my command m'lady'

‘If this is Hell, I can’t wait to see Heaven.’

This novella series has taken off with such a brilliant start, I cannot wait to jump onto the second one!!

Read 'The Original Series' all the book, novella or novel out till now and fall in love with the wonderful characters written by Tiffany Reisz.

This book isn't my favorite for no reason, its one a a million; brilliant and compelling.
I have converted many sinners, and I am proud of it x

"What do you want to do, Sailor?"

"Anything you want, Mistress. Anything at all."

"That's a dangerous word around here. Let's go find out whta you mean by anything."

This is my first Tiffany Reisz book, and I have no idea who Mistress Nora is.
But this is written really good so whoever Nora is, I enjoyed the story.

Important note : I'm not a BDSM fans

So, even this one was not my first BDSM, Nora and Lance entertained me with their banters and some light kinky stuff.
When Mistress Nora called Lance, Sailor, it was kinda hot. And I liked that.

I never see with my own eyes how Dominatrix 'work', but...it's interesting knowing that some men out there, in fact (or not), are submissive.

I have all the 5 copies of this series, I'm heading number 2. Curious about Nora's 'family business'...

🎧 Audio Review 🎧

The only thing stopping me from giving this part 5 stars is the length. I'm not a fan of serials and normally won't touch them but its's Nora & Soren..... I loved Lance and I really hope we get more of him in this serial! Listening to this is like visiting old friends, I really missed Mistress Nora. Going straight onto part 2 now.

The narration was great, better then previous narrators in this series.
