Great authors! Great stories! Fun reads to get you in the mood for spring and for love. Zoe York is one of my faves! So addicted to her stories and the town of Wardham.

Spring fling is a delightful collection of contemporary romances not to be missed !
Five heroines,attorney, landlady, chef, reporter and housewive/ mother / baker and their five sexy men. The road to happiness for these women is not necessarily paved with gold but they all get a happy ending. These stories are all well written with Intriguing characters that capture your attention and draw you into their stories.
I Cannot say that anyone of these stories was better than the other , I liked them all!
In "Wild for Mr Wrong " our hero Daniel had to get past Bryn's bias against defense attorneys , an attorney herself but A prosecutor her bias toward defense attorneys is born from past experiences,but their physical attraction to each other is undeniable!
" Rough Ride" gives us Lane and Gretchen's story, this story is more Gretchen doing the chasing and Lameventially coming this senses, he is trying to avoid commitment , relationships and ties to the area because being around his brothers is just misery for him having to keep secrets, but his landlady Gretchen will employee the age old adage ! The quickest way to a mans heart is through his stomach , okay I concede great sex too!
"The Sweetest Seduction" Finds Adam Kelly , entrepreneur and property owner out of his element and head over heels for Lia, chef and restauranteur , for these two the sexual attraction is explosive and immediate however business between the two of them makes the relationship a challenge and keeps them second guessing!
" An Affair in April" gives you sexy, player Tanner Croft who meets Evie Prentice at a community senior self defense class given by him , she is attending to write a review for the local paper.Lots of a flirting on Tamners part hasEvie on high alert , he does not just flirt with her and get her all hot and bothered but he flirts with all the women, leaving her second guessing his true interest add to that as a reporter she wants to write headline stories and tanner as an Emt would be a great source for obtaining them . The lure of doing just that is a challenge for Evie to Avoid.
If I am in the least bit bias it is for this last novella, I have read all other other Wardham series books so am already engaged in this town and it's characters and as usual I was not dissapointed!

Ian and Carrie Nixon have been together for eight years ,but Carrie I feeling unsure of herself and Ian's love for her. Carrie has reached the point in her life that sh wnts more than the home and the kids sh wants to get back to her dreams given up so long ago , she allows her fear of her husband not understanding to come in the way of their relationship, luckily her husband Ian knows her better than she thinks and loves her more than she believes!

Wild for Mr Wrong..4 stars
Bryn is the Prosecutor and Dan is a defense attorney.. when you first start it is pretty typical...he wants her she dont want him...she wants him he dont want her.. But then as they get it into it you realize they both have their own demons and once the put them aside you are rooting for them in the end!! Very well written
Rough Ride.. 2.5 Stars
Lane & Gretchen, He is only town for a short period of time, so they decide it can be a "for now" fling (YEAH RIGHT) but of course they fall in love and when he decides the "secret" he is keeping is something he cant face..(that was a HUGE letdown) he leaves in the middle of the night..then his brothers go after him and he comes back..The one bright spot in this whole story (and the only reason it got 2.5) is when he comes back she dont fall right into his arms..she makes him EARN his way back into her life (THAT WAS AWESOME!)

She is a fierce and independent women who owns a restaurant, that happens to be in a building Adam owes...and her lease it up.. and he has an "encounter" with her before he realizes she is the tenant he is planning on throwing out LOL...MAN the poo poo luck in that one LOL Well he finally figure out that he skills in the bedroom arent the only reason she deserve the lease renewal..but of course she is snooping and sees an email that he will be sued if he gives her the lease..so she is gonna save him.(and she does not like that he offers to "take care of her" I would at least clarify what he meant by the before you go wigging out).OHH GOD PEOPLE..COMMUNICATION... LOL she runs off and of course he shows up to get her, and they get their happily ever after...This one was just enough corny to make me be on their side! :-) GOOD ONE!!!

When they meet she is convinced he is a no good gigilo..But you know that dont mean she dont think about him non-stop..LOL..When he finally breaks through to her and things are going well...a fire breaks out and he is one of the first responders...it turns into a huge scandal cuz it is a Senator and his mitress..she writes an article about something he said at the scene, and he is PISSED...she says she didnt mean to send it...well of course they are both stubborn, so her friends steps in and sets them on a date..where they make up..I really enjoyed this one cuz she threw him for a loop, when his "moves" didnt work...
Between then and now..4.75!!!!!
Carrie and Ian-What a sweet story! It shows sometimes you do things for the wrong reasons but they end up being just what you needed!
The fact that Ian knew just what Carrie wanted, goes to show that sometimes men really are listening lmao!
Even tho these are a series, they are stand alone novels about different couples! I think the author did a nice job and I can't wait to read the rest!

WILD FOR MR. WRONG

A prosecutor and defense attorney face off in court and out. He wants her but she has some baggage that is hard to let go. She fights her attraction to him until he finally wears her down.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was at 80% the book ended. I was thinking there was more to read but I was disappointed. The rest was excerpts of other books.
Still a great story. Sexual tension and a pretty hot sex scene.

Lane has came to help his brothers with a manor they inherited. Gretchen owns a trailer park where Lane rents. He tells her that after he's done helping, he is leaving. Gretchen wants him so she sets out to seduce him. He has a secret that he has carried around and it's time to finally face his brothers with it.
There was several mistakes and toward the end it got really ridiculous. She didn't want him because he left. He comes back three days later and she tells him if he doesn't tell his youngest brother his secret, then not to come back to her. He tells and doesn't go back and she gets mad. I wanted to smack them both.

But when it's revealed that a married senator was in the house with another woman, they are told not to talk to anyone. But when Eve accidentally sends her story to her editor she gets the front page she's always wanted but not at the cost of her new relationship with Tanner.
After he claims she only came to hospital for a story, she leaves. He doesn't let her explain but in the end he says he loves her and it's all better. That was just not believable. Like they hurried to end the story and wrapped it up way to fast.

Oh, lol disclaimer, I was given this book in return for my honest opinion!
Loved wild for Mr.Wrong!! Would have loved it even more with an extended ending but overall the book rocked!! Well written and kept my interest piqued! I loved Bryn and could totally imagine what she was going through. Daniel was great too. Although I wish Bryn had seen that her sister had moved on from it all once she was engaged... Either way, this was a great read with real life instances included!
Ahh loved Rough Ride!!! The story that plays out with Lane and Gretchen..... Timelessly classic!! I love the interaction between all the characters. I was enthralled the whole story. Ms. Ford wrote this story so well. Her descriptions of secondary characters made this story as truly awesome as possible. Especially cute was his instant jealousy of Gretchen's late husband lol his reaction and thoughts were too cute!
Now we get to the Sweetest Seduction. How great of a read was this? I love that whole traditional Italian family setting and Adams family was just too cool. Ooo god bless those match making mamas!! And those over loving oversized dogs. Jasper was the best:) this was a well written book with all the fixings one needs to experience every emotion in our arsenal. Good Job Ms. McHugh!!
An Affair in April... What's not to love about this book?? Lol I was so smitten with Tanner and his cheesy lines. But they worked. They had me swooning like a naive school girl and we all know that's far from the truth. I'll admit that Evie did kind of annoy me. I get the whole reporter bit and always needing an angle but she so pissed me off with the submission of the story.... However I feel she should have apologized instead of Tanner. He had every right to be upset.... Otherwise I loved this book and will likely be reading it again soon... This chick is TEAM TANNER
Ah... Between Then and Now.... I'll be honest, I've read this book before *insert giggle* but it's such a damn good book that I had NOOOO issue reading it again!! Bravo Zoe for this book. You nailed it on the head with the emotions most couples go through when the communication system has broken down. I have honestly suggested some friends read this book because it's a good reminder for us all to keep those lines open. Poor Ian was so invoke with Carrie and vice versa... Lol they just didn't really say it. And of course throw in a couple of kids to the mix and you have the making for a rocky relationship.... Lol I loved it!!
So now you all go buy this set!!!

A sexy collection of romantic short stories.
A copy of Spring Fling was received from author Zoe York in exchange for an honest review.
This is a set of novellas that contains stories that focus on making love possible. Each short story was well written and entertaining, with engaging characters and fun story lines. Some of the authors were new to me and others have penned some of my favorite series. Each book can be read on its own and I never felt like I was missing half of the story or left out of the loop. This spunky set is the perfect antidote to cure those winter blues!
Because I received my copy for Zoe York I will focus the rest of my review on her story.
Ian and Carrie started their relationship with different goals, different dreams and a whole lot of sexual chemistry. A fun fling quickly turned serious when Carrie found out she was expecting and a quick rush to the alter derailed her plans to travel the English countryside. Sexual attraction quickly developed into love, but time, work and children are keeping the couple from connecting as much as they would like. A series of miscommunications have put added strain on their comfortable relationship, causing each spouse to doubt what was once an unshakable foundation.
This well written story from York's Wardham series is a brilliantly told tale that could easily be the picture of any established married couple's relationship. Working on communication and keeping the spark of romance alive is often put on the back burner. The consequences of neglecting these bonds can be devastating but love, and a whole lot of steamy sex, can conquer all!

ok, so back in October of this year, one of the authors provided me with this box set and now so has NetGalley! Time to review because I have finally finished 4 out 5 of the stories. It took this long, noy because they weren't all great, but because I normally read anthologies like these one story at a time in between reading other books ... Anywhoooo, about this set:
Between Then and Now (Wardham, #0.5) by Zoe York: Between Then and Now is the beginning of what promises to be a FANTABULOUS series of the people in a small town called Wardham. This book is about Ian and Carrie. They NEED a HEA really really bad! They married out of obligation and eight years later find that their marriage is struggling badly. But when I say obligation, it does NOT mean that there is no love there or wasn't there when they married. I'm not one to give away plots, so you will have to read this short novella to find out what that REALLY means, but you won't regret it. TRUST ME. Zoe York's writing style is what I refer to as east going and feel good. She makes you feel for her characters as if they were your best friend or family member. Ian and Carrie's struggles are very real. And Zoe makes you feel like you are right there with them! The love that they truly have for one another jumps right off the pages and you just can't help but root for them! There's one last thing I will say about not only this story, but all Zoe's stories .... her H/h can entertaining the living heck out of you. I love her wording and style and characters and just everything about her stories. And you will TOO!
An Affair In April (Spring River Valley #4) by Clarise Wynter: This would be the one story I have not read yet because I am OCD and must read a series in order and this is #4 so it will have to wait ...
The Sweetest Seduction (Kelly Brothers #1) by Crista McHugh: This story is about two passionate workaholics, Adam and Lia, discovering what it's like to be in love while breaking there all time golden rule of .. never ever...ever..ever...mixing business with pleasure!!! Clearly, rules were made to be broken in this case :) I can't say much about the plot, because that's not my style. I dont want YOU to miss out on all the little surprises in this book! But I WILL say this book was a FANFRIKKINTASTIC sweet read with the right amount of erotica and angst mixed to it... even if u find the plot going slow, TRUST ME, give it a chance to pick up because by the end I can GUARANTEE you'll be waiting to read the next installment of Kelly brothers!!
Rough Ride (The Roughnecks #1) by Keri Ford: LOVED IT!! Seriously, I expected hot and sexy but not laugh out loud pee your pants HILARIOUS!! Rough Ride brought together a nice mix of dirty, hot, smexing and a really sweet story! The series as a whole promises to be fantastic ... TRIPLET ROUGHNECK ... REALLY? LOLOLOLOL !! Lane and Gretchen dance around each other quite a bit in this story. It’s fun and flirty and at times infuriating because you can tell how much they want to give in and be together. They do finally find their way but it takes Gretchen making a big move for it to happen! Why does it take Gretchen you ask? Well, the only thing I will tell you is that Lane wants her BAD, but he has a BIG secret and he's afraid if it gets out, he'll loose what's left of his family so he wants to get our of town quick, NOT get involved with sexy Gretchen! CUE, VERY FUNNY plot! Will they get their HEA? Will Lane's secret be revealed and ruin his family relations? READ AND FIND OUT! :)
Wild for Mr. Wrong by Virna DePaul: stand alone book, not part of a series. This novella was too short for me. I was left wanting more and that really sucked. On the plus side, it was attention grabbing, sexy and full of raw feeling. SO, good but too short! :)

This anthology is exactly the thing for a lazy afternoon or two. Some of the stories are by old favorites and there were some new to me authors. All of the books are well written, which certainly gives this anthology a lot of bang for your buck! All the books center on the theme of the possibilities of love, and this is one of the few times I can say that I liked every book and author's style in a boxed set. Kudos to the editor that put the set together. Now off to see out the new to me authors' backlists!

All five of the stories in this set were fun to read and very enjoyable. They all had great characters and interesting story lines. Authors Ford, Winter, and York were new to me, and I am glad to have had the opportunity to try them. I was already a fan of DePaul and McHugh. I will be reading all five authors in the future. While all of the stories were very likable, my favorite was the one by Zoe York.

Great read with all 5 stories, but my absolute favorite is by Zoe York!! You can never go wrong with a book with her name attached to it. Definitely worth the read and I'll be looking up a few books by some of the other authors now too.
