Meluhavin Amarargal, the first book in the Shiva Trilogy, tells the story of a human, Shiva's trials and how man became god in a story set around BC1900, an era in Indian history, which was linked to the Indus Valley Civilization. The author recreates the story of Shiva on a made-up land named Meluha, governed by the king Lord Rama, going completely innovative in imagination. Nine regional languages (including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada) as well as four foreign languages (including French and Polish) have translated works by author and former diplomat Amish Tripathi. He has also produced films and hosted documentaries in addition to being a writer.
