BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN
Retired three years, and hating every minute of it, Talice Wyloh and her mercenary team are drawn back into the fray. But this time, it’s not an old nemesis, but closer, and the phrase, “A family affair”, comes to mind.
Between a swirling mass of infiltration, matters of the heart, and a serious case of mistaken identity, everything that could go wrong, seemingly does. And when politics, something Talice hates most of all, nearly derails the mission, death is always waiting at the proverbial doorstep.

If you like your sci-fi military thrillers served with grit, heart, and just the right amount of “oh no they didn’t,” then Bloody Hands: Mercenary will have you grinning, gasping, and maybe clutching your armrest.

Talice Wyloh is the kind of protagonist who doesn’t just step into a mission, she storms into it, weapons ready, heart guarded, and loyalty unshakable. Three years into retirement, she’s dragged back into the fray, and what unfolds is a storm of infiltration, politics (which Talice hates), mistaken identity, and the kind of family drama that makes you wish for an easier enemy, like an alien invasion.

The pacing is relentless, you barely have time to catch your breath before another twist hits. The combat scenes are sharp, tactical, and cinematic, and the emotional beats land just as hard as the firefights.

But what really sticks with you is how Dennis Young crafts flawed heroes you want to root for and villains you love to despise. Every character feels like they’ve walked through hell and are just daring you to follow.

In short: This is military sci-fi done right, gritty, intelligent, and impossible to put down. With Talice leading the charge, Bloody Hands proves that sometimes the most dangerous battles are the ones fought close to home.
