This book has some major unforgivable plot holes that really need to be addressed.
1- Dallas? His storyline made zero sense. He shows up everywhere drunk, rear-ended a literal lawyer, throws out said lawyer and his kid at 3am, and it's like, "cool"? Like what the actual fuxk. And it was all sooo cool that Landon opts to buy the mansion from Dallas? Ummm...okayyyy.
2- the inheritance? Like, what was it? He paid 600k for some random heirlooms, 2.5 million dollars to an ex, and buys the mansion with all these infinite funds?
3- Walter? He's cool to leave the facility now?
4-the mansion?! Why did Landon buy it? How?
5- Landon?! He literally leaves her after telling her he loves her? Ummm, what? It all made no sense. There was little groveling. He just comes comes back and all is well? Ewww.
6-Colten? The inconsistency of this character was irritating. Sometimes, he read like an adult, sometimes a small toddler, and then often, like some genius 10 year old. And Landon not sheltering him from some pretty awful trauma irritated me, too. I get it, be honest with your child, but he's a 10 year old boy.
IMHO, this book should be yanked to address these glaring plot holes. TBH, I actually enjoyed this book until the end.
The lack of closure and clarity on EVERYTHING ruined this book for me.
