Life is sweet for Hannah and Jack. Finally, they are together and Jack’s band, Storm, have been signed to a major label after completing a successful tour.
Then tragedy hits the band, sending Jack off the rails. Hannah wants him to make peace with the demons from his past but he refuses to face up to his issues. Meanwhile, Hannah has problems of her own when her father’s crimes are exposed, and are much worse than she’d ever expected.
Are they damned beyond repair or can their love redeem them?
This is the third and final book in the Bad Boy Rock Star series.
Candy J. Starr used to be a band manager until she realised that the band she managed was so lacking in charisma that they actually sucked the charisma out of any room they played. “Screw you,” she said, leaving them to wallow in obscurity – totally forgetting that they owed her big bucks for video equipment hire.
Candy has filmed and interviewed some big names in the rock business, and a lot of small ones. She’s seen the dirty little secrets that go on in the back rooms of band venues. She’s seen the ugly side of rock and the very pretty one.
Overall,I enjoyed the series. The 3rd in the series didn't leave me disappointed. I really wanted the author to dive in more with Jack and Hannah's personal stories. Sometimes I felt she just skimmed the surface of who these characters really were. However, I was an enjoyable read.
After the second book I wasn't sure I want to read this one. The story line kinda let me down but after a little while I though: why not? I like to finish series. And I'll tell you that I'm glad I did. Great read, really enjoyed how the story ended with all the secrets and tragedy.
Jack Colt has hit rock bottom. He messed up his life. He lost the woman he loves and one of his best friends. Now he is in a funk, doing more drugs and drinking more.
Hannah had to let Jack go to save them. Erik and Angie are also effected by Jack and Spud’s actions.
We find out: * More about Jack’s Mom and who Jack’s father really is. * What Hannah’s father is in trouble for * The Tour and record deals
What the author did not answer: * What is troubling Jack to cause his night terrors * What was the punishment for Frank and Hannah's father * And seriously, what the heck is Erik's mom's name......
Erik’s Mom & Angie share some common feelings on Jack’s actions.
I liked the ending of this story. I wish we had known a bit more about what the papers in Frank’s office actually reveal. I wish there had been more justice for Jack’s mom and that the author had her clean up her act as well. Of course….. Fairytale ending right. LOL
This as a whole is a nice story of a girl Hannah who falls into bad luck with her father’s misdoings. Hannah must separate herself and figure out a way to survive in “The Real World” with no money, no friends, no home…… All Alone.
She has one thing a record label in her name……. Nothing has ever really been done with it. It has one band signed “Storm” and Storm along with one smart crazy fan girl will change her life forever.
Hannah starts off trying to just get money from the band instead of committing to the work. But she quickly realizes she has to MANAGE this band or nothing will come of it and she will have nothing at all, and they will as well.
After a strange encounter with Jack Colt (Lead singer) and Angie (Fan girl) she has a band to manage and eventually a best friend.
Hannah learns quickly that she must work hard to help all involved, she must separate herself from everything else she has ever known. Her father, her so-called friends, boyfriend, school….. all of it must go.
With this knowledge, hard work, and a new family in the band and Angie, Hannah will survive and she will bring good things to those around her. She will bring everyone together and they will conquer this world together. At least that is what she wants to happen. In truth a lot of bad things happen around Hannah throughout this story and it does affect those around her. But they keep going and overcome.
**Notes to author - a lot of grammatical/typographical errors. I think more proof readers and editing would be good.
Finally we get to find out if Jack and Hannah get their HEA. Life with a rock star will always bring trouble but life with Jack Colt is so much more complicated.
Jack and Hannah should be in the honeymoon stage of their relationship but instead Jack's demons are starting to strangle him. Needing no more issues to their already vulnerable relationship tragedy happens leading Jack into an even darker place.
As Jack spirals downward, Hannah starts to get more and more of a back bone. She has always come across a bit weak to me in the last two books but here she really started to shine and take control of her life and all of her shitty situations.
Jack and Hannah don't have an easy road to their happiness instead it is filled with twists, turns and many bumps but in the end it is still their HEA.
I did like seeing the growth of Jack and Hannah even though I will admit Jack was a grade A jerk off at times. I was happy with how the ending finished with these two. For more reviews, visit Live Read and Breathe
If you've read Bad Boy Rock Star and Bad Boy Vs. Millionaire, you MUST Read Bad Boy Redemption! This story is heartbreaking and full of angst (more than the other two books!).
I loved how much Hannah has changed since the first book, I mean, she was an entitled snob and now she's an endearing lead character that you truly like and want to root for, and Jack... well Jack is still Jack, but in the end he really did redeem himself and you really do love him when all is said and done.
Just when Hannah and Jack are together and you think everything should work out for them, Jack's demons come to light again and things are raw, tense, and anything but happy for them, add in what Hannah finds out about her father, and you know it's not going to be good for them as they are hoping.
You are asking yourself reading this book, are they going to make it? What would all of this been for if they didn't end up together? And you will definitely question this during multiple parts of the books. This one is so full of angst and the unknown, you won't put the book down!
There are so many twists and turns in this story, and some losses that at first you aren't so sad about but once more information comes to light you are really heart broken. This book out of the three is the best, but you need to read the previous ones to understand this story and all that Hannah and Jack have gone through to get where they are.
I loved this story, and it is my favorite in the series, I loved the ending and how everything played out with these amazing characters and I really want more of Hannah and Jack, but I know with how this one ended, it was the perfect ending for these two. It's amazing to see how these characters have grown and changed through out these books and the success of the band that you thought were just a bunch of punks.
I am eagerly awaiting more books for Candy J. Starr! She has a way of grabbing you with some unlikeable characters that you can't help but end up liking and her stories are so unique! I encourage everyone to read this books, the story is amazing!
First off, this is a series: Bad Boy Rock Star, Bad Boy vs. Millionaire and Bad Boy Redemption and they need to be read in order. That being said, while the books didn’t blow me away, I did end up enjoying all three. The story had some of the characteristics that I like to discover when finding a good book to read:
• One or more HOT alpha bad boy • Hot chemistry between heroine/hero • Good story line • Danger • Secrets • Good backup characters (kinky family and/or friends) • Action, angst and drama
The story line was a good one but I did have some difficulty with Hannah at first because I found her to be annoying. Then I just let the story flow and began really liking the way it all panned out. I did enjoy watching Hannah grow up through her experiences.
Jack Colt was the ultimate bad boy Rock Star what-a-be (he is arrogant, full of himself and quite obnoxious). He hasn’t had an easy life growing up and the psychological scars are really deep. Jack is so hot and cold during this story you never really know which Jack you’re going to get next. It was interesting watching his character develop (although it seemed to take forever).
I liked that all the characters are important for this story as well. I really liked the friendship that developed between Hannah and Angie. Angie’s spunk and personality were really good for Hannah. Eric (the bassist) and Seth (the drummer) lend a lot to the story as well although we don‘t really get much into their backgrounds. I really liked Eric-Mama).
Overall, the books were entertaining and a nice read.
To me this is the best of the three books. Hannah and Jack both have to come to terms and cope with all the wrong doings which took place in their childhood. There are some shocking discoveries about their parents and the pressures of these discoveries have an adverse effect on their relationship, just when they thought all will be well.
To top it all, there is a terrible tragedy in the band and Jack is having trouble coping with this sad occurrence which could in fact destroy the band as Jack's behaviour becomes more and more erratic.
In book two, I felt that Hannah was indecisive and could easily be misled but not in this installment. Although she has her moments, she is more mature and her strength of character shines. She realises how badly she has been treated by her father and his so called friends and does her utmost best to do the right thing and clear her own name at the same time. She even puts her life on the line for her true love.
This book is action packed and a real emotional rollercoaster.
Great ending for the book series but wished their was another one to know if the band had become a mega rock band and where their life finished. Would of been nice as a last chapter to find out their handing endings not just finishing on Hannah and Jack getting engaged. Their is some questions left that could of been answered.
Still shocked to find out that Frank and Hannah's fathers crimes were very serious. Who would have fought Jacks father was actually Frank this whole time.
Still couldn't believe Spud had died and that he really did like Hannah. Enough doe he was crazy and stupid he made the band what they were.

...and I love the Bad Boy series. This story had so many ups and downs and back and forths I almost had whiplash. Only problem for me is I cannot stand weak, spineless heroines. Other than that? Good story. Hannah got herself into some tight spots and needed more courage and strength than allowed in the story. But so it goes. We can't have it all. I do recommend this read. It was entertaining and rarely do I meet a book I truly do not like. Go for it and enjoy.
Even though the book needs some heavy editing, it didn't take away from the fun of the book. The story was gritty and powerful, and yet at times it was funny and chick-lit like. At long last all the dad problems are solved and Hannah and Jack had to truly face their demons. I would love to have a fourth book in this series, to see how they manage married life. I have no doubt they will continue to fight and am curious to see how they solve their problems, if they matured enough to face things as a team. Great book. Entertaining.
Once I started this series I just couldn't stop. It's fast paced and addicting.
Book 3 was much better edited, even though there were still some errors, not enough for me to dock a star.
The twists and turns of this book had me glued. I read it in two sittings-had to make my kids dinner, but then I was right back at it! I had to know how it ended, and I was definitely not disappointed.
I definitely recommend this series to anyone that likes a little rock n roll, sex, and drama!
I fell in love. After all the ups and downs in this rock star series, I fell in love with the bad boy, Jack Colt. Sometimes you have to live through the rough hard times to get to easy fun and loving times. This story showed you that. It also showed that people can't be judged by its cover and you have to dig deep to get to know the person! Great story line. All books need some editing but I truly got hooked and enjoyed it. Now onto Angie a short story!
3.5 Stars This was my favorite of the three. I felt the characters evolved a lot. Jack and Hannah finally had a fucking conversation in this book. This book intrigued me and I liked the way this story wrapped up. My main issue was that the "shocking twist" that happens in this book was not shocking at all. Even the character's reactions were not realistic. They acted like they didn't care except for Jack whose reaction and way of handling it was way over the top. And Hannah is still annoying.
WOW, tried something out of my normal reading shelves. This is a set that I highly recommend. Each and every book kept me involved and fighting for each and everyone of her characters. I won't post much more because if I do I would end up spoiling the book for others keep up the awesome books Candy Starr. They are well loved!
This was definitely the best of the series. It was interesting to see how things unfolded, and I thought the twists and resolutions were great. Jack and Hannah still frustrated me, but not to the degree of the first book. Overall, this novel just flowed a lot better and I enjoyed the read. I'm glad I stuck with the series.
