It's been nearly three years since Thoreau reunited with his older brother, Emerson. Now, as his 18th birthday approaches, he worries about what will happen if he finds his Goddess-given mate, especially since he’s already in love with his two bestie boyfriends! But the Moon Goddess has a wonderful plan for our precious boy, even if a wolf is the only one who remembers it!
Easily the best book so far. Between the misunderstanding at Reau’s birthday party to Arch and Wayne’s reaction to what happened at the diner, I was an emotional wreck.

I didn't think it was possible to love subsequent books in a series MORE than the first ones, but I really loved this book! The book follows Reau, Wayne, and Archer as they all get closer to 18 and are going to find their mates. Like I said before in a previous review, I have never shipped harder for a relationship than the three of these guys to be together. There are so many twists and turns to not only the main story line, but to everyone else's as well. There are a lot of POV's in this story, but once you're used to it, it really only enhances things. I really enjoyed all the other storylines that branch off from the main one. Because while I am absolutely obsessed with Reau, Wayne, and Archer, I think that the story would have been boring without adding more to it. Everyone finding their mates and being paired up is done so well too. There isn't much I don't like about this book besides the cringy language used to describe body parts by Thoreau, but it's really just part of who he is, so I've gotten used to it.
I love love how open and honest everyone is with Thoreau! Especially when Gelo gave him the sex talk before he knew he was going to be mating with Wayne and Archer. Reau wanted to know and Gelo didn't want him to get hurt by not being informed. He waited until Reau was of an age he thought that he could handle it and didn't give him the information when he asked, which is great. No one shies away from difficult or embarrassing to talk about subjects and give him honest answers. I feel like people in real life tend to try and sugar coat or give neurodivergent people watered down versions of the truth because it's what they think they can handle. But they don't treat Thoreau any different with information. And I really like that. The whole damn community is accepting and wonderful like that. No one gives people who are different or going through struggles with any grief of any kind and supports them in the best way how. And not just with Reau. Like with Eli who has been a bully for most of his life and helping him with his pain, or when Bridge has an unexpected child and needs help, or with River and his anger issues. I want to go and live here!!
How Reau, Wayne, and Archer find out who their mates are is perfect! I hate that they had to go through some drama to get to the point they are, but it paid off in the end. The whole thing was great. From Wayne thinking that Reau had found and accepted another mate when a friend comes to visit, to Wayne's birthday ... honestly ... perfect! And even though there is some sadness to when they find out their true mates, Spring's story from when Reau and he were merged by the Moon Goddess ties everything together. And I love that Wayne and Ocean are given the time to grieve for the mates that could have been but their lives were ended too soon. And the three of their first night together is absolutely perfect as well. No one pushes for too much and they all admit that it's new for everyone. Though, Archer practicing on a banana to learn how to deep throat is hilarious. I'm glad that the author waited until they all turned 18 to really get into anything graphic. It's easier to get on board with things now that they're all technically adults.
Oh my God!! Squidge's storyline being added in is fantastic! I laughed out loud that Reau has been right this whole time and innately knew ... AND that the cat has fallen under his spell as well. Perfect!
Basically, this series gets better and better the more you read and I wasn't able to put the book down and stayed up way too late finishing it. I started the next book immediately and can't wait to see how it goes. I would definitely recommend reading this book and series!

I recently read all four books in the Thoreau series. These books are based alongside the original Five Fangs story, which I have already read multiple times having absolutely loved them! The Thoreau series is a werewolf-based story with multiple points of view, including chapters from the wolves' perspectives.
The books cover sensitive topics such as ASD, learning difficulties, childhood abuse, bullying, the death of a wolf, and the LGBTQI community.
The writing is incredibly well-done, and I couldn't put the books down, finishing them all within just two days. It was heartwarming to see the development of relationships between Thoreau and his best buddies, as well as witnessing Thoreau's transition into adulthood and seeing his feelings and love grow.
I highly recommend the entire series, but I recommend starting with the original Five Fangs series as it provides important background information that is further developed in the Thoreau books. In my opinion, this is a 5-star series for anyone who enjoys stories with fated mates and complex backgrounds.
Good news, I didn’t have to burn the world down because Weir gave us what we NEEDED. Bad news … that’s not the end of it. Or rather, it’s not bad news, there’s just more story to be had, and it’s a hella compelling, can’t put down and live my life, kind of story.
This is the third book in a four book series that you have to read in order……actually, you should read Posy’s story first to really be invested. Unlike Posy’s story, however, Reau’s story is constantly moving and changing. Like everyone, I love him and I was worried that his gentle nature would make it hard to see him as a romantic hero……..but I misjudged his strength, just like everyone. If I could have gone to war for him along with the rest, I would have.
Again, it’s repetitive. That’s what these books are. Every POV states the same thing at least once that someone else has shared, not necessarily adding any clarity or more information, just a couple copy and paste. If that doesn’t bother you, it continues to be a cute story.
Almost lost me with a Squidge POV, and I’m still not sure why this book suddenly made the story SO paranormal and extra when none of it was ever mentioned in the original story.
It is a lot. I don’t get why it needed the cliffhanger when none of the series had had one previously.
It’s an alright story. It stays on brand with the rest.
MARY ANN WEIR You are a remarkable author and God I would love to just sit and talk with u about how u got inspiration for posy and reaus books and all the characters in them. Oh how Thoreau has touched my heart and all the pack of five Fangs. On to the next book I'm so nervous. If u love shifters of all varieties love like no other, beware trigger warning these books will change u.
Omg I can't get enough of this series. Please, oh please keep this series going it gives he so much joy. I have read it and Posey's five books and Beta Ty's book at least four times already. You are an amazingly talented writer and Thoreau is so pure of heart ❤️. I wish children of today could be like that but unfortunately with the world the way it is there's no chance of that. Spring is the perfect companion and protector for this amazing young boy.
I am so glad all these books came out together because I really felt the cliffhanger in this book. This one also had a lot of excitement towards the end and I absolutely loved it. This truly is an amazing series.
Another fantastic addition to the series, very on the edge and funny , would recommend this author to anyone and hope to get more books in the five fangs saga ..
This series always leaves on a cliffhanger! I am so excited to read the next one! This story follows Reau as he navigates turning 18 and finding his mate!
