A rescue mission like no other he has done

Sawyer is sent to rescue a close friend of Fortress....he doesn't just find Janie, he finds his future.
A very twisted web of darkness, deceit, corruption and utter madness, with assassins that don't know when to quit and the Texas Team who are willing to defend Janie with their last breath. This is a fast paced and explosive tale of betrayal and greed.....but rarely are things as they first seem!
I am sad that this is the last of the Texas Team, but look forward to meeting the next Fortress Team to find their forever.

Same story, different names

I have loved other books in this series and was excited about a new one. Sadly, this one just didn’t grab my attention. There were some gruesome scenes of described rape in the beginning that I did not like. The book felt like a copy and pasted conglomeration of the last few books in the series. I love romantic suspense, and have really loved others by this author, but this one was a hard sell for me.

The book started off strong but then got a bit bogged down with information that I just didn't care to read about to the extent it was written. For instance Janie asked about 3 different times why and how they "the Texas Team" eat so much, and that was annoying. Or Janie constantly feeling guilty and needing to be reassured, happened too often for me. Even some of the tactical information was a bit much at times.

Wonderful characters, suspense, romance

This is another entertaining book featuring the Texas Team with a brief appearance of the Artemis team. I love the characters and the suspense. The clean romance is nice to read. This is a very enjoyable book!

Another great read!

I have loved EVERY book of this series and this one is no different. I loved Al of the plot changes and surprises about actual villains. The story was very engaging and I always love another member finding their personal. Looking forward to the next one!

Love the whole series.

This was one of the very best series I have ever read. All 19 of them. Each one had its own twist and turns. I love how the women were betrayed as strong and intelligent not weak and stupid. Very much your time to read them all.

Rebecca Deel has written a clever plot in “Last Chance”, that kept my adrenalin on high throughout the book. Janie Moran is travelling by plane to Chile to visit her brother and meet her new sister-in-law. Janie is a close friend of Rowan and Brent Maddox. When it becomes known that Janie’s plane has been hijacked, plans are made by Fortress Security for their Texan Team to rescue the hostages. The plot behind the plane being hijacked starts to unravel as more and more information is researched by Zane and Simone. Sawyer is the last of his team that is not in a relationship. From the time Sawyer sees Janie’s photo he is smitten. A very sweet romance between Sawyer and Janie evolves amidst all the shoot outs and car chases. A tense, interesting read which I enjoyed.
