Published new each quarter, these reflections are written by women and men from a variety of backgrounds - lay people as well as clergy and religious. Living Faith writers include such well-known Catholic authors as Amy Welborn, Sr. Melannie Svoboda and Msgr. Stephen Rossetti. Whether lay, clergy or religious, Living Faith writers provide a variety of perspectives and insights. Since each devotion is a personal reflection on a Scripture passage from the day's Mass readings, readers pray and meditate along with the seasons of the church year.
Timely, inexpensive and easy to use, Living Faith has become a cherished part of the daily prayer life of hundreds of thousands of Catholics in U.S., Canada and among English-speakers worldwide.
I like this because it contains references to the daily readings and the gospel used during daily mass. It also features a short commentary about the readings which allow a better understanding of God's message in these. To me, these are helpful when preparing for the daily mass.
One feedback though is that, there are prayers and some useful information about Saints and feasts at the end of the book which readers like me who read this Kindle version may miss. I hope the publisher would do something about it, perhaps move it upfront before the daily devotionals so readers are forced to skim through these before the dailies.
I love this little book. It adds so much to my scripture of the day as it gives food for my life. It is packed with guidance from the wise. Just life example are give and that is what I need! Right on!
