Brace yourself for a white-knuckle ride in this thrilling tale of espionage, conspiracy, rescue, and global intrigue. Twists and turns and non-stop action hallmark this globe-trotting mystery thriller—the thirteenth stand-alone novel from the Best-Selling Case Lee series by author Vince Milam.
It’s a simple and valid answer when the question pops up, “Why do you write?”
At the end of the day, it is to tell a good tale.
Vince Milam has lived all over the world, traipsing through the Amazon, Congo, and Papua New Guinea—all the while demonstrating bourbon has medicinal qualities. Raised in Texas, he lives in the mountainous West where he proves—annually—that God doesn’t want us driving on snow. He relishes great reads, fine trout streams, family, old friends, and—especially—writing fast-paced thrillers that keep you up at night.
Excellent yarn! Enjoyed this as much as any of the other 11 books. Highly recommend to start with the first in the series and work through all of them. There is no chance in hell I’ll miss out on any additional books in the series. 😉
Another excellent addition to a great series. There was the expected story line with the characters doing what they do best. Plenty of action and suspense. Plus we learned more about Jules. The only complaint I have is how long do I have to wait for the next book? 😀 The entire series is highly recommended.
A great series of thrillers that keep me in the edge of my seat! Always a surprising twist as our heroes travel the world to take out the bad guys. Top notch plots and excellent characters!
This "Job" kept me on tenterhoocks from page one until "The End" . I don't know if this "The End" marks the end of the saga or simply the end of the book. It was repeated along the story that the protagonists are getting old. But, what means "getting old" for them? Is getting slower? Is getting less alert? I don't think so. I'm 77 years young (expression coined by Chelsea Field, Australian writer of mysteries and fantasies), and although I don't use to run marathons, my memory can outrun the one of an elephant. I've loved the full saga of Case Lee. I hope that at least will be another book or short story to enjoy. Thank you, Mr. Vince Milam. From Monica Beltrami, Montevideo, Uruguay.
Vince Milam, as always, tells a story better than dang near anyone. Even the obligatory backstory elements (told for the benefit of first time readers) are brought in with subtlety, not in your face as so many series writers do. The one element that was left unresolved was in regard to bad guys knowing where Jules works. Or maybe not! Maybe the Director closed the loop. One hopes. These small mysteries don't detract from the tale, rather- they allow the reader to feel smarter for having 'caught' an apparent inconsistency. Anyway, Milam has become a favorite writer for me. A VERY good read!
This latest and, hopefully not the last, in Vince Milam’s Case Lee series involves all his superbly developed distinctive characters in an emotional rollercoaster of a very complex plot. It shows sides of at least one recurring character never fully seen before. Milam’s writing is head and shoulders above other series in this genre that have improbable escapes by single protagonists that take on many foes by themselves and prevail through luck or superhuman attributes. Case Lee prevails with the help of friends who bring complimentary skill sets and quirky personalities to the table. A very worthwhile and entertaining read.
Simply put, the Case Lee series is the best of its kind in the literary world today. Using his intimate familiarity with his characters and locales, Vince Milam skillfully weaves his characters through the most interesting and exciting storylines time and time again. “The Cairo Job” was everything any Vince Milam fan (or Vince Flynn or Tom Clancy fan) could hope for.
Been a Lee Case fan ever since my sister introduced me to him. I did miss the absence of Catch, I figured he would have handled Mr Parker way before the mayhem hit the fan! I had some hope for Maria's bad! Adore Jules and Madeline, too! I truly loved the roller coaster ride of the adventures! Please, ready for Book 14!!
Milam has a strong handle on the Case Lee series and this is the best adventure yet. This novel allows a starring role for a more minor character and the ensuing action allows for some well written dialogue between everyone. An action book that’s also a pleasure to read? Yes!
Milan provides us again with globe trotting drama. His former special opts guys along with intelligence from Jules at The Clubhouse and advice from Marilyn at The Company wrap up a new global effort to take over clandestine work from the Big Boys, CIA, Mi6, SVU, Mossad, etc. The pace is terrific. Enjoy.
Having Bo speak as though he was an overeducated girly boy, to Jules joining the overspeak, then Marcus appearing twice out of the ether and of course Case, the leader of the pack. They’re shot at constantly but of course all wounds are superfluous and heel instantly. Come on…….
I liked the series from the first book, but this one was one of the best. I stayed reading way past midnight to finish it, and I'm an early to bed sort of person.
I just love these adventures about Case and his delta brothers.the stories are wonderfully written. The characters keep getting more real with each book. Case needs another girl friend!!!!!!
The brotherhood that welds these men together is honorable trust solidified on the battlefield. In this day and time the forcing of globalism on society just may create Brotherhood's that will oppose the MOTUs!!!
I’m all in on the entire series. Read one per day consecutive days. Case is an interesting cat. Not sure such a person exists but maybe.. Well done Vince. Keep them coming.
In this book, Case faces good guys, bad guys with a twist. New relationships are built with all the good stuff found in the authors writings! A MUST-READ, for sure!
Good solid characters, plus a couple of new ones..very different in that this was a two part story full of action intrigue and a couple red herrings for good measure. Thanks Vince for another cracking read🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺
The Cairo Job was a fun read like all the Case Lee books. Lots of character banter.and a good mix of plot and action. I like Milam's light and fun writing style.
Another enjoyable read! Smart writing with great characters. This book pulls back some of the mystery surrounding Jules from the Clubhouse and cements Case Lee, Bo and Marcus place in memorable and fascinating characters! A great series!!
Another page turner, or scrolling read, bringing most of the regulars into play. I won't spill the beans and ruin the adventure, just enjoy the twisted plot of "The Cairo Job" . Masters of the Universe sometimes attempt to master too much!
Another winner from Mr. Milam. Without spoilers, my favorite part of this installment is a much larger role in the story for Case’s fixer. Five stars, simply cannot recommend highly enough.
