Ten years ago, Electra and Victor were fired under a cloud of suspicion that has followed them professionally and has tainted their names in the consulting industry. She blamed him, he blamed her and, from that moment on, they became mortal enemies. Even with time and age, nothing has changed. Electra and Victor still can’t stand each other but, they are forced to work together once again when they both land the StarTech account for their individual consulting companies. They try to put their dislike for each other aside to get this money but, that’s easier said than done. It was literally static from the moment they got on the plane to NYC and it never let up. The heavy hater energy was on ten with these two. The way Electra and Victor couldn't stand each other was top tier comedy. The insults, the name calling, and the sarcastic back and forth was pure entertainment. ‘This was DEFCON 5 level sex. The type of sex your uncles warn you about. That crashing out, turning on locations, driving by, popping up, making excuses, overworked, going broke, losing all your friends, crying in the dark, listening to Jodeci, begging on your knees type of sex.’ LOL!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Listen, these two loved to hate each other and they did it well. I really liked this book. Starcrossed was a good time from start to finish. I loved how the characters transitioned from enemies to lovers so seamlessly. I loved how the author highlighted the struggles of being not only a woman but, a black woman in corporate America and the biases we face. I loved the updates on Savanah and Taurus. I loved that we got to see them have their baby and get married. 🥹🥹🥹🥹 When I started Starcrossed, it was a solid 4 stars but, as I got further into this book, it just kept getting better and better. And, I picked the perfect time to read it because, Isaac’s book comes out today. If you have not indulged in this series, do so expeditiously.
