They call me Emo Barbie. And they’re not far off, though I consider myself a little more alternative than that. I just so happen to do everything in six-inch heels and blood-red lipstick. I like it when people stare. I like the attention. I’ve never been drawn to the meek or mild. At least, not until I met Hannah Kate, the journalist hired by Dallin to do a story on Twisted Ink and feature me as its best artist. Even her name screams good girl next door. And that’s exactly what she is. Sweet. Innocent. Pure. Everything I’d ruin if I had even a small taste of her. The problem? The two hulking neanderthals she’s linked herself to in a surprisingly sexy throuple. Brody and Knox are the epitome of dark, brooding, alphaholes that ooze testosterone and scream bad boy in charge. They’re everything I’ve always competed with as a dominant lesbian. Yet when I see them with her, I’m fascinated. Drawn in and unable to walk away. So tell me why I was a no-strings-attached kind of girl when I met Hannah, determined to use her newly discovered bisexuality to steal her from her men for some fun, yet now I’m aching to fall to my knees and suddenly be a good girl for Brody and Knox with Hannah at my side?
This is the first FFMM book Ive ever read and it did not disappoint!!! This was not my first book from Mrs. McCoy though. I’ve read almost all of her books and am a huge fan of hers, which is why I’m so honored to be a part of her ARC team for Twisted Lace! This book follows Lex, Hannah, Brody and Knox. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but holy crap this book is hot! You’re gonna want to get either your man or your fav toy ready when reading this! One thing you should know about her books is she gets very creative with spice scenes! Always so detailed with her writing. I rated this book 5 stars because her writing turns me the F-on!!! I’m honestly sad this book wasn’t longer. I need more of these characters and would love to see where the future takes them after the epilogue. I think my fav book of hers will always be Bailey Dunn (I have a special love for this one and Ive read it almost 10 times) but this one just shot up to #2! If you’re in the market for an FFMM book that will deliver on spiciness LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!
I think 3⭐️ is generous. I fully expected no plot and all spice, but the spice was just off, which then made it a struggle to get through. I guess a poly couple with two males and two females isn't my thing because they seemed to pair off in couples a lot. I didn't have a terrible time, but I'm glad it's over.
This would have been a 5★ read if there wasn't so much spice in it. Don't get me wrong, I love spice. crave it even. but I would've loved to see the mental and emotional relationship between Brody, Knox, Hannah, and Lex grow, more so than the physical one. Attraction was there from the very beginning.
The plot is easy to find and follow (for me at least). Characters were written well and each had their own personality (they don't all have the same stereotypes which that obviously won me over).
Lex - I instantly fell in love with her, and her hard exterior front she puts on.
Hannah - Love her soft hearted personality and how she strived to be there for everyone when things got hard.
Knox - Literally is the definition of "Is a cinnamon roll, could kill you".
Let me start out by saying that A.M McCoy has absolutely done it again!! Giving us an amazing book once more! I have read multiple books by her in the past and fell in love with them. Twisted Ink for me was an automatic 5 star read and it is high up on list of books that I recommend. So when I heard Twisted Lace was coming I was over the moon!! Being given this amazing opportunity to be apart of the ARC team is surreal!!!
Twisted Lace is was another 5 star read for me and I cannot wait to share with my friends. The plot was absolutely amazing and sucked me in from the start!! I was unable to put the book down and read it in one evening!! I loved seeing the character development from each respective character. Seeing the characters growth and evolve their relationships individually and romantically was just perfect. Brody will forever hold a very special place in my heart, I could never pick a favorite but I just adored him and his growth the most.
Also the spice was immaculate!! I had to get up and take a walk outside in the cool weather to calm myself down!!! These four will be my dreams for a while.
This book was just absolutely beautiful and A.M McCoy has outdone herself by delivering yet another amazing book! I cannot wait to hear what everyone else has to say!!
A.M McCoy has done it again. Twisted Lace was so perfect. It had a the perfect balance of spice and plot. I fell in love with all 4 of the main characters.
Twisted Lace was entertaining, but honestly it felt almost like a repeat of the first book with slightly different details shuffled around. The same drama beats, the same character rhythms, the same whirlwind chaos — fun enough to binge but not super surprising. I enjoyed the tension and the spice (still solid), but I was hoping for a little more growth or a fresh angle this time.
I like the ideal of the book/ it was written okay but I was confused with the book- i had to leave the book and read the bio from the first then the second to see if i needed to read it but its about a different relationship?
We didn’t get any explanation about brody, Knox or Hannah relationship beforehand- one min it was about Hannah and lex then the next Hannah is crying because she don’t want the guys to leave her?? It confused me because it didn’t seem like a real relationship
Imo none of them worked as a throuple it seem like their relationship was fake or on the verge of collapsing I didn’t get any “love” between any of them and still didn’t feel a connection after lex joined it felt dull and more like they were fuckers instead of being in a 10 yr relationship before meeting lex
I did like the F/F in the book it was hot and 🌶️ would have found this more enjoyable if it was just about them two as I did feel like them two did have a beginning of a relationship/ love the men no chance I didn’t feel anything from them
The smut was decent though- it the only part of the book I actually enjoyed- the rest like I said was dull and I didn’t feel any connection for any of the characters
I went into Twisted Lace with really high expectations after absolutely loving Twisted Ink, and maybe that set me up for a harder time with this one. I struggled to connect with most of the characters, especially Hannah—she left me feeling pretty indifferent. Knox and Brody were fine, but nothing that really stood out. Lex, on the other hand, was by far the most compelling part of this book for me. Her complexity, strength, and the way she slowly let her vulnerability show kept me engaged when I was close to checking out.
I honestly didn’t expect a slow burn. Yes, there are sex scenes sprinkled into the first half, but the story doesn’t truly pick up steam until much later. That middle stretch almost had me DNF, but once the four-way dynamic started forming—and I realized Lex’s journey was going to take more space—I pushed through.
That said, a lot of the plot points just didn’t land for me. I found myself not caring about certain developments, which created a sense of drag and left me somewhat detached from the story.
What really saved this book for me was the spice. AM McCoy never disappoints on that front, and holy hell—these four burned the pages down once things got going. Each scene felt unique, with every character bringing their own flavor and energy to the mix, making the spice both intense and varied. Combine that with Lex’s standout character arc, and I had just enough to keep going through to the end.
The epilogues, though, felt endless. By the time I got through them all, I was more relieved than satisfied.
Overall, this wasn’t a bad book—it just didn’t hit the way I hoped it would. I know many readers adore this one, but for me, it lacked the emotional pull and tight pacing to make it memorable. Still, I can appreciate the heat and Lex’s development, even if the whole didn’t fully work for me.
Drink your water, you are going to need it for this one! A.M. McCoy has done it again with another Poly-Romance and I am HERE FOR IT. This book sets up for realistic encounters and dives into the world of poly and kink. Even for those who are not in or even understand the lifestyle, these books are enjoyable from page 1. This story being a FFMM romance I was really curious how the dynamic was going to go, partially knowing one of the characters from the first book in the series. No disappointment the whole way through. The character development and spice were very well balanced and never seemed unrealistic. This one pulled on my heart strings with the ending that tied all the loose ends and brought it full circle. I will suggest this book to all my romance reader friends, no matter their orientation. There is something for everyone here. If you are looking for a book with a plot outside the relationship dynamics, this isn't for you. This is all about the development of the relationship between the 2 female and 2 male main characters. That is the plot, and the spice that comes with it is HOT HOT HOT. Drink your water my friends and charge your batteries. You are going to need it.
When you find a author that hits all the marks for you, well you keep going back for more. That's A.M. McCoy's books for me. She continues to deliver binge worthy books that I can't help but devour in a day and satisfied in the end. Twisted Lace was no different as I ate it up and ignored my adult life.
Twisted Lace was everything I had hoped it to be and more. The fact that it isn't your standard why choose and involves ffmm makes it even better. The characters were the perfect contrast of light and dark creating a balance in the relationships. While of course in true McCoy fashion the spice was spicing but there was also character growth that will have you reaching for the tissues.
Where Lex is the moon full of dark and moody vibes, Hannah is the sun full of sunshine and innocent vibes. The spark is there when they first meet. Lex wanting to take Hannah for a ride, only to come face to face with her alpha boyfriends. The question is, is Lex willing to explore being with men to take that ride with Hannah?
Per usual check the list before diving in.
P.s. If you haven't read Twisted Ink run don't walk to grab it before snagging this one.
Wow, what a ride! To say A.M. Mccoy could do no wrong is an understatement. When I found out twisted ink was becoming a series, I died. When I saw it was a mffm I died again. Hannah is Reyna bff and a journalis doing a piece on twisted ink and about their fiery artist lex. Immediately, they have sparks, and lex is a lesbian Hannah is in a poly relationship with her lovers Knox and Brody. She realizes she is bi and wants lex. Lex is a no strings attached alpha and wants Hannah but knows she's with 2 men. Little does she know that Hannah ,Knox, and Brody want her. This book had some layers. You had Brody and lex were very similar and alpha, so they clashed, Hannah struggled with understanding she bi and messing up their dynamic and the guys thought they would lose her. Slowly, they dated, and man had so hot hot hot scenes. I mean, I had to hydrate. There is so much vulnerability that I was tearing up. What an amazing book, but also loved seeing everyone in book 2.
Wow! Just WOW!!! 🤩 I got this book as an ARC and ugh!! After following Reyna and her boys in book one, Twisted Lace has you follow Lex, a tattoo artist from the shop. Lex finds the love of her life but she comes with “extra baggage”. Knox and Brody. And they are…🥵🥵🥵
The self reflection and growth throughout this entire read had me feeling like I was right there with them going through it all! The trauma healing that they find within each other just had me falling even more in love! There is much more dialogue and “plot” through this book than the first. But the SPICE is still top tier.
A. M. McCoy just knows how to keep you sweating. Twisted Lace does that and more! I loved it! 🥰
Jesus take the wheel. It was even better than I anticipated. And baby, I anticipated lots. By far my absolute favorite read of 2024. I’m scared nothing will top this and I’ll be in a slump forever. Will I ever recover from this? Probably not. Something inside of me has been unlocked. Magical, perfect, wonderful, lovely. Thank you.
Oh my goodness!!!!! I could not put this book down!!! If you loves twisted ink you are going to fall more in love with twisted lace! I fell in love with the exploration of the polyamory journey of lex, Hannah, Brody and Knox. The scenes caught my attention and made me crave more of each chapter. I so reccomend reading this! Thank you A.M McCoy for writing another beautiful why choose. I am in love 💕💕💕💕💕
06/2025: I listened to the audiobook and having someone read the book that has changed my life.....let's just say that a mop and bucket is needed! The narrators, Veronica Pace and Scott Rose did amazing jobs!
08/2024: I have read a lot of books in my life, and there have been plenty that I have LOVED!!! But never one that has been life changing. THIS BOOK IS LIFE CHANGING!!! Get ready to explore your inner bi-awakening, because this will do it for you.
"Bet I can get her to scream my name first." -Brody
"You haven't met her. She's so sexy. I can't describe it, baby. I just know that if I'm going to watch you put your c0ck into any other woman, it has to be her. And I want to be right there, holding her legs open for you when you do it." -Hannah
"I'll call someone else for a tow. Someone that doesn't have to loan his girlfriend out to make her come!" -Lex
"Baby, you want to take control in the bedroom with our girl, that's a-okay with me. You want to tell me to be a good boy and do your bidding, I'll play along. Hell, you want to wear one of those sexy strap-ons and fuck my a$$, ask me nicely and I'll let you. But the only place I sit on my bike is in front. Feel free to wrap those mile-long legs around mine and hold on though, because she purrs better than a Sybian and I bet I can make you come before we hit our driveway." -Knox
"I knew you had a Daddy kink, I just knew it." -Knox "I have a Lex kink." -Brody

Man OH MAN! After reading Twisted Ink, I was thrilled to be chosen as an ARC reader for this book and it did NOT disappoint! As a fellow bisexual girlie that came out later in life (also having been in a committed long term relationship), I related to both FMCs so much! Everything about this experience was so well written, especially the fear and anxiety and confusion that comes along with this situation. It had my heart hurting for all 4 of them, because it hit so close to home. Now for the ✨️juicy details✨️. This is the first MMFF book I've ever read and, if I wasn't bi before, I for sure would have been after finishing this book! HOT. AS. FUCK. Sometimes, in books with multiple partners at one time, imagining the logistics of things can get a bit dicey. Not here! The authors style of writing and how descriptive she gets painted a very, VERY clear picture of what was going on🔥 The ONLY negative thing I can say, is that I wish we had more backstory of Hannah, Brody, and Knox going into the story. But honestly, that didn't affect the story for me. Just me being greedy😂😇
𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦: ♥︎ why choose ♡ FFMM ♥︎ found family ♥︎ bisexual awakening² ♥︎ car body shop owner MMCs ♥︎ tattoo artist FMC ♥︎ journalist FMC ♥︎ lots of sexual bets/games
This is a 5 star read!!! I recommend this book to anyone that loves smut, spice, and a hot AF dynamic between characters.
Twisted Lace is Twisted Hot 🔥!! This is my first ever FFMM and it did not disappoint. In fact now I’m gonna need more :). The spice is fantastic, emotion evoking, and delectable!! A.M. McCoy is such an amazing author and this book just proves it. She rocked my world with Twisted Ink but exploded my world with this one.
The dynamic she creates between this group is delicious. I could literally feel their emotions and I find myself wanting to be a part of their love and devotion!! A.M. McCoy always leaves me wanting more!! I’m obsessed with Hannah, Lex, Brody, and Knox!
First of all, this book is a 5 star read! It's an FFMM romance with a tattoo artist, a journalist, and her two boyfriends. This is not my first book from Mrs. A. M. McCoy and it definitely won't be my last. I entered this world wanting to know about Lex and Hannah and ended up falling in love with Brody and Know. The four of them are fire together. This book made me laugh and I actually cried one time.
This book is spicy, but it also touches serious themes, so please check your TW.
Twisted Lace is super spicy. Highly recommend!
Oh, and recharge your batteries. You're gonna need them.
5 stars for straight spice. The complexity of the characters and their real world struggles trying to make a FFMM relationship work were very compelling. I wasn’t sure how she was going to top book 1, but I have to say this did it! I enjoyed the characters in this book more and the scenes whew, hot!! This was top tier spice with a good amount of plot and character backstory to make them more than basic flat people. O was kicking my feet, giggling, and blushing for majority of the book. Loved it.
Oh my…I think I’m still blushing. My first FFMM book and I devoured it. I could not put it down. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the bonus scene. I think I had a mini heart attack when I found out it was the playroom scene A. M. McCoy teased us about in Twisted Ink. I appreciate when authors like A. M. McCoy keep it real - I went in knowing this was probably going to be 99% smut and I wasn’t disappointed. This was straight p0rn🥵
I’m just not a HUGE fan of FF. However this DID make me want to read her first book with MMMF. So I’m off to read that. I DID like the writing and the string FMC lead. I just have a hard time connecting to the second FC as I relate to the second woman less and it takes me out of the book. THIS IS A ME PROBLEM and NOT a writers problem. The author wrote a good fun smutty book — so. Read it as that. 😆
Twisted Lace isn't just a romance; it's a high-voltage collision course where identities are shattered and rebuilt under the heat of a "why choose" dynamic that truly earns its unconventional stripes. At the heart of the storm is Lex, the formidable "Emo Barbie" tattoo artist whose polished exterior hides a dominant, focused lesbian energy. Her narrative voice is a sharp, confident delight—until she encounters Hannah a seemingly good girl next door journalist, and the two alpha males who already own her: Brody and Knox.
The initial premise is a fascinating web, Lex, who has "never been drawn to the meek or mild," is utterly captivated by Hannah's innocence. This fascination quickly evolves into a surprising, but arousing conflict when Lex finds herself not just competing with the two handsome men for Hannah's attention, but unexpectedly aching to submit to them, of course, with Hannah by her side. This shift is the book's greatest strength. It flips the script on Lex's established identity and dominance, forcing a powerful re-evaluation of her desires and boundaries.
The spice level is explicit and plentiful, If you are looking for a romance that’s unafraid to explore gender roles, dominance, submission, and bisexuality within a darker, intense framework, Twisted Lace delivers. It’s a compelling, often shocking read about what happens when you let go of your labels and allow desire to lead you down the most unexpected, and hottest, path.
My first time reading FFMM and it was soooo spicyyyyy but I thought the major conflict between the MM was a little choppy and forced. Although, I do appreciate the author shining a light on the destruction of families not having unconditional love for their children when they choose to love outside of their traditional family values. But other than that I enjoyed it! Loved the ending!
