What if choosing love means breaking a family?

Tessa is struggling to run her mother's beloved book shop and the business is failing. At least she has her dear friend (and accidental heart throb) Manny, to support her. As single parents, they understand each other and their friendship is too important for Tessa to give in to the chemistry between them.

With the sudden success of his home renovation show, Manny is appalled to discover just how much the internet knows about him. While he navigates his new and strange life, his feelings only grow for Tessa as he helps her refurbish the bookshop.

But when Tessa's ex-husband returns to Ivy Falls, she must make a should she follow her heart, or does she owe it to her girls to fix their family?

An uplifting small-town romance perfect for fans of the Virgin River series.

Such a cute book! Exactly what I needed for a good fall romance moment. Even if the book is a sequel, you can read it without having read the first one in the series (that’s what I did). It reads easy once you’re introduced to all the characters.

Thanks netgalley for the ARC!

I was so excited to return to Ivy Falls, and this did not disappoint. :’) I loved Manny and Tessa’s story. It was so special to cheer them on as they navigated their relationship, their grief, and being single parents. Manny is one of my favorite MMCs ever — the way he braids his daughter’s hair and knows all of Tessa’s favorite kisses from the books and movies she loves!! The ending left my heart feeling so happy.

I'm so excited to continue this series by sharing Tessa and Manny's story. This book was an absolute dream to write, and I hope you're ready for A LOT of longing glances, witty banter, and kisses that are well worth waiting for!

This book touches upon such topics as death of a spouse, abandonment, and the breakup of a marriage. If these topics are uncomfortable for you, please take care while reading.

I really do love these characters so much and hope you'll enjoy returning to Ivy Falls!

If you love a hot single dad you must pick this up. MANCHESTER PARKS. COULD THERE BE A SWEETER MAN?!

Amy just does such a great job at writing characters who are so lovable and sweet, all while tackling some more difficult topics. This story is really the perfect 'brew' for a cozy afternoon.

A cutie little hallmark movie (in the fall) is the best way to describe this book, and I loved it. Predictable enough that makes your heart smile 😊

ARC Book Review - From Netgalley

The character development is one of the standout features of the book. Each character is well-crafted, with relatable struggles and aspirations that resonate with readers. The protagonist's growth throughout the story is inspiring, showcasing the importance of self-love and the courage to embrace change. The chemistry between the main characters is palpable, and their interactions are filled with both tension and tenderness, making their love story captivating. This is a heartwarming tale that beautifully blends romance with personal growth. Amy True's writing style is engaging and heartfelt, making it a perfect escape for anyone looking for a feel-good story. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a mix of romance and the journey of finding oneself in the process of falling in love.

Really easy read, I enjoyed this book a lot! Some great character development between all of the main characters. Slight bit of mystery and good drama. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I feel like more could have been added to the ending. But other than that, a really nice book!

Gosh, the mutual pining 🤩

This was a dual POV wholesome small town romance centred around two single parents. Manny and Tessa had to navigate through guilt of raising their respective daughters alone, prioritising the needs of their children over their feelings for each other.

And let me tell you that the pining is worth it 👌 This romance felt based in reality to me, with the relationship being quite healthy. I loved Manny, notable his respect towards Tessa and her situation.

This was an easy read as I was excited to see the conclusion.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 in the Ivy Falls series and it follows Torran's younger sister, Tessa, and Manny.

Tessa has 2 young girls - Iris and Rose but their dad, Billy, hasn't been in the picture since he walked out on them with no explanation. Now Tessa is ready to let someone back in again and that someone is Manny. He's always been there for her and the girls, he's her best friend and he clearly feels the same way about her.

I really like Tessa and Manny's story. Manny is the ultimate book boyfriend - he's hot, he's a single dad to an 11yr old daughter, he listens, he supports and he lets Tessa lead where they go in their relationship. He has the utmost respect for her and her wishes.

I found Torran quite brash in the first book, but as she was the FMC it was easy enough to overlook but clearly in the year since the last book, she hasn't toned down her personality at all and continues to try and boss Tessa around. She gets angry with Tessa when she doesn't get the answers she wants and with what happened in the first book it would have been good to have seen her grow a little even if she is only a background character in this book.

I do wish there had been a bit more spice between Tessa and Manny, unfortunately there was only one scene and with the chemistry between the two it would have been explosive had they had more time.

I'm definitely looking forward to book 3 which I'm guessing will be about Piper and Pete.

Thanks to NetGalley and Hera for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

With the weather being rainy and dark, this was the perfect small town romance to read.

Interconnecting standalones set in the small town of Ivy falls. I started with book 2 as I need it to complete a reading challenge and while you get hints of what goes on in the first book I never felt like I was missing anything and just made me more interested in going back and reading the 1st book.

I really enjoyed this story and gave me the Gilmore Girl small town vibes that I am always looking for. Characters are so relatable, not a fan of kids but the ones in this was delightful and funny. Intriguing plot that can have many relating to.

highly recommend.

I am 100% positive that miss True is an only child. Just basing this on how she is writing siblings. For the age of Tessa”s daughters sure the younger one would want to dress up with her sister, but the older one wouldn’t. If you like Gilmore girls like love GG then you will probably like this. I got more Chris vibes from Manny than Luke vibes Sorry to say. It wasn’t a disappointment: it was a very entertaining read for a genre that I don’t typically read. Loved the older lesbian couple :) 3.7 but good reads doesn’t let me do half star reviews.

This book was such an easy read, I love small-town romances which was what drew me in.
The way Manny cared for Tessa was adorable, would also recommend this book if you enjoy friends to lovers, although I wish it had been longer as I didn't feel as connected with the characters as I would've liked.

This was such a wonderful small town romance and a perfect installment to the series. I adored Manny in the first book and really wanted him to have his happy ever after, he is just so lovely. I thought this would be a predictable read but it really wasn't and I had plenty of twists happen that i didn't see coming.

Highly recommend!

Another great read by Amy True, really enjoyed the developing relationship between Manny and Tessa you always knew they would get together but we're never quite sure how it would happen with so many things getting in the way. 3.5 stars. This is a cute, quick read. It’s the second in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone. The story reminds me of a good Hallmake romance - a little bit of conflict, but it’s easy to see that the main characters are going to fall in love even though they try to fight their feelings for each other.

Wonderful sequel in the Ivy Falls series. I love Manny; what a great guy! I did wish Tessa was more assertive throughout, but that is her character journey. I really liked that they both had children. And that Tessa owns a bookstore. So cute!

Billy is a piece of work! Ask 5 divorced women about their ex and 3 of them will tell you their ex is just like Billy. Sad but oh so true.
It was nice to read a book that is more to real life.

After reading the first book in the Ivy Falls collection, this was a sweet and heartwarming follow-up. It was a joy to delve into Tessa and Manny’s story, watching their friendship gradually blossom into something more, despite the complication of her ex-husband’s return. Their chemistry felt natural, and I found myself rooting for them while also mentally shouting at Tessa’s ex, clearly seeing his true motives. The way that storyline concluded surprised me, as it didn’t play out exactly as I expected, but it kept me engaged.

Overall, this was another delightful read in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am eager to see if there’s more to come from Ivy Falls!

Thank you, NetGalley, for the copy!
