About the author

Bill Amend is an American cartoonist, best known for his comic strip FoxTrot.
Born as William J. C. Amend III, Amend attended high school in Burlingame, California where he was a cartoonist on his school newspaper. Amend is an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He attended Amherst College, where he drew comics for the college paper. He majored in physics and graduated in 1984.
After a short time in the animation business, Amend decided to pursue a cartooning career and signed on with Universal Press Syndicate. FoxTrot first appeared on April 10, 1988.
Amend currently lives in the midwestern United States with his wife and two children, a boy and girl.

I bought all of the Foxtrot books in 1998 because I loved the strip and I decided to re-read them now 20+ years later and I am so glad I did! Fox Trot is witty, funny, relevant and just plain fun. Loved the strips then and I do now. A few of the strips here and there are now dated due to their reference to culture of the 80s and 90s but those are few. Love the strips that relate to the book's title, when father Roger takes the family on a hilarious trip to "fun-fun mountain" amusement park. If you love Fox Trot or just love a funny comic strip you will love this book!

The characters in this strip may be 'cartoonish' by definition, and they do tend to stereotypes. But they're also individuals. You could imagine finding them at home in some suburban cul-de-sac, if you only knew the address. Cartoons mostly from 1990 and 1991.

The family visits their version of Disney is this group of comics. While it seems like the perfect family trip mom is not thrilled with the idea of spending time on rides that make her queasy and spending more money than it would take to send all 3 kids to college.

The Fox family visits an amusement park, which doesn't amuse mother Andi at all. Peter's girlfriend Denise persuades him to take her out for an expensive dinner. And Jason goes into business making snow dinosaurs, but finds customers very scarce.
