Not nearly enough development, needed to be longer and more in depth. But, I did enjoy it.

I’ve read this novella multiple times since I purchased it back in 2014 but have never gotten around to posting a review so here goes. I enjoyed this novella but not as much as the previous novella. I also thought that it was a good addition to the 1 Night Stand (1NS) and the Pararescuemen Series’ by LJ Garland and Debbie Gould. It was a short, sweet & steamy insta-love novella, which is part of the course with all of the 1NS Series books. This story starts with Staff Sergeant Zeke “Diz” Matthews and his team on a regular training missing, when they come across a burning yacht and decide to investigate, especially after they checked with the Coast Guard to see if they’d received any distress calls, which they hadn’t. The yacht has been ransacked.
As the team clear the boat, two of his teammates Bobby and Jason find two deceased males who have been badly b*aten, and their throats sl*t. Zeke finds the door to the Stateroom has been rigged with expl*sives, so he puts his training to good use and disarms the b*mb. When he opens the Stateroom door he finds two women, bound, gagged and b*aten women huddling together on the bed. He checks the older women’s pulse and finds none, and he’s about to check the younger women’s pulse when her eyes open, and lock with him. She starts panicking and wont let go of her mother, until he tells her that he’s from the Air Force and she’s safe. Zeke finds out that the women he rescued is Kaci Phillips.
Zeke has been dealing with aftermath following Kaci’s rescue. Zeke hasn’t been coping very well and his thoughts are often on Kaci and how she’s doing since her ordeal. During the rescue something about Kaci resonated with Zeke. His teammate Bobby suggested that he should book a date through Madame Eve. Kaci has been struggling to move on from the tragic event that claimed her whole family. Her friends want her happy so they suggest booking a date through Madame Eve, to help her get back to the world of the living. All I can say is Madame Eve sure knows what’s she doing. Both Zeke and Kaci are shocked but pleasantly surprised that they’re each other’s date, as they both haven’t forgot about each other since they first met.
The chemistry between Zeke and Kaci was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. It shows how strong Kaci being able to want to life again after losing her family. Their date turns expl*sive when Kaci is k*dnapped, and the boat that they’re on is blown up. Luckily Zeke notices the expl*sives and jumps overboard before it expl*des, Zeke is eventually rescued by him team. They realise that the m*rder of Kaci’s family may be linked to the sh*oting of Bobby’s fiancé Siobhan and the m*rder of her brother, best friend and her boyfriend. They need to find and rescue Kaci before its too late. I’m looking forward to reading Kyle’s story next. I’d recommend this novella, Pararescuemen Series, 1NS and both authors to everyone.

The concept behind the 1Night Stand series is incredible, many authors, different writing styles, lots of hot sex, and of course the perfect match in love by Madame Eve! These stories are a must read!
Explosive Conditions was definately my favorite one so far.... I love military heroes, I love romantic suspense, and the heat between Zeke & Kaci was off the charts! DAMN, the scene on the boat with the two of them on the bar.....I needed a cold shower after that one!
I highly reccomend any and all of the 1Night Stand books, but, especially Explosive Conditions, you won't be sorry!
