About the author

What can I say about myself? It’s kind of like being the new kid in school and being asked to tell everyone a bit about yourself. Anyone else forget everything they’ve ever liked, thought of, and even their name in those moments?

A few facts about me; I’m a veteran, I’m Canadian, and I love books! I’ve been writing my own stories since I was eight and wrote my first novel at sixteen. I’m the first to admit those attempts weren’t my best work, but they started me on a journey of creating stories that has led me to fulfilling my dream of becoming an author. I’ve written and published in several genres under different names, but MM is by far my favorite, and I’m so happy to be able to share my stories with people today.

I currently live on Canada’s east coast with my kiddo and my cats. I have a shoe collecting addiction, and I enjoy taking long walks, discussions with friends, and reading anything and everything I can get my hands on.

Pretty decent, but nothing overly groundbreaking.

Also, the page after page after page of in-depth astronomy nerding out felt like a LOT. More than I wanted, for sure.

Stories like this one are the reason I’m still a desperate sucker for NA romances, even though I’m nearing 40 and should have perhaps, maybe, probably-most-definitely aged out of this genre.

Cringey title aside, I was a complete goner over college-aged housemates Finn and Beck, relishing in their delicious opposites-attract, bi-awakening (on Beck’s side), friends-to-lovers romance.

This story was fairly light-angst, but compelling enough on the deeper themes and emotions that I found myself completely obsessed with what was probably, to a lot of readers, a very run-of-the-mill MM college romance. (This is a positive for me, because when it works, IT WORKS).

I loved how Beck and Finn bonded in a way that highlighted their new friendship and camaraderie first and foremost, making their eventual sexual exploration and romantic relationship the perfect, genuine culmination of their budding attraction and general love of being around each other.

The sex was HOT and there was a lot of it. I especially liked the way they explored their kinks, with trust, vulnerability, passion, and sensuality. *bravo*

I honestly delayed reading this series simply because I’m not keen on the title and have always hated the game Never Have I Ever, but after reading the first book in the spin-off series, Stepbrother Dearest, and enjoying the heck out of it, I knew I had to reassess my hesitancies here and give this series a good crack!

I was not left disappointed.

I don’t think you need more than the title to figure out what this book is about; two roommates: one gay and virgin, one straight bisexual, and plenty of experiencing. It’s a nerd-jock romance, which it’s usually my Achilles heel, but the writing didn’t quite do it for me. It didn’t flow as it should and the dialogues often felt unnatural. I wouldn’t mind that much if it wasn’t because this was more on the erotica side than I usually go for and missed not having more romance, but I can see Neve Wilder’s fans enjoying this one.


“Finn,” I groaned. “Stop teasing.”
“No.” His smile took the sting out of the word. “This is my first time too, and I want to play.”


However, since this was kinda fun ignoring the problems, I may still give her another chance whenever a certain roommate’s book is released, crossing my fingers that the writing will improve with time.

Never Have I Ever: Punched my Roommate's V Card is a cute college Jock/Popular student and Nerd love story.

Beck and Finn have been roommates for a few months but haven't really talked more than needed; however, that changes after a drinking game of "Never Have I Ever".

Beck notices Finn and wants to take him under his wing by becoming his wingman; however, as they spend more time together, Beck's feelings of friendship start to warp as repressed memories and emotions begin to surface.

I love how the topic of bi-sexuality and coming out was addressed. That the reality is that while things have changed - you will always have to come out again and again, depending on the situation. Strangers will take an interest in your personal life. While not everyone will be hostile, there are still bigots in this world, sadly.

While Beck's freak-out is not directed towards Finn, he does worry about how his peers and friends will perceive him. Finn gives him space and does not want to force him out of the closet - he understands that he needs to take his own time - but does not allow him to treat him like a secret or lie. They communicate boundaries and try their best to be truthful to one another. Hurt is hard to avoid in such a situation, especially as they fall deeper in love. Not everyone is ready to come out, but you want to be public with the person you love - it is a delicate balance. I really love how mature and level-headed Finn is. Beck is such a sweet, considerate person who cares deeply for the people around him. It is hard not to adore him.

I also enjoyed that while Finn is a virgin, he is not some inexperienced blushing virgin type (I still do enjoy a shy blushing virgin). Still, it is also refreshing to see someone who seems inexperienced take control and have such command in the bedroom.

The spicy moments were very, very hot and sexy, and I loved the club scene so much. I love their chemistry. The tender and romantic moments were also perfect.

The ending felt a little rushed but overall, this was a sweet college nerd/jock bi-awakening, roommates/friends to lover story! This is my second book by Willow Dixon, and loving their college romance stories a lot. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

The relationship itself was a bit surface level, very low angst, everything came so easily with no conflicts. This book was definitely more heavy on the steam than on the plot, but for what it was it was really good.

And like many others, I completely skipped over the pages of talking about astronomy - I'm not trying to read a 10 page space lecture in the middle of my romance novel.

This is Beck and Finn's story and I totally loved it; it's the perfect college roomates with benefits to lovers read, with some first times, low kink and with a perfect HEA thrown in for good measure. I can't wait for Alex's story Never Have I Ever: Submitted to my Enemy next!

I very much loved this story about two roommates who fall in love.

If done right, does a formula ever get old? NOPE. Because have I read this trope many times before of roommates falling in love? Yup. But do I get tired of it? NEWp.

This book was done so well and really captured the chemistry and romance between Finn and Beck so well.

Even the drama for the book was done well, in my opinion. Beck discovered he's bisexual with Finn, but isn't ready to come out yet. So there's drama with that aspect, but it isn't OTT or melodramatic or anything like that. What happened felt realistic and true to what Beck was going through.

He wasn't ready for awhile, but once one person knew, and then another person knew, it wasn't as bad for Beck the more people he told, until he was at that point where he felt ready to be out to the world.

He wasn't just freaking out the whole book and then all the sudden okay with everyone knowing about him, he more took baby steps and that felt more realistic.

As for Finn and Beck, I just adored them together. They had such great chemistry throughout the whole book. Their dance together before they get together? Whooboy, that was 🔥

They had some scorching hot sex as well. Their semi-public sexual encounters too? Super hot ;)

I also adored the romance of it all. Their conversations were great and so well done, and you could really see them falling for each other in the conversations they had. In the way they hadn't been interested in the other's passion before they met, but were so excited to hear the other talk about and learn about it and become interested in it, for the other.

Their romantic date under the stars was perfection (and then when that leads to some hot sexy times, that was awesome too ;)), and just perfect.

This is such a comfort read, so I HIGHLY recommend it. Just two really well written characters with a well written romance and chemistry. Their journey to falling in love was so great, I absolutely loved it.

Can't WAIT for the next book in this series. This author did really well with enemies-to-lovers with Step Bully, so I'm excited for Alex and Kai's story.

I've been putting off this series for a while, but it was always on my mind, because the covers are quite interesting and I thought I was in for some college sexy smut, so I got my special coffee, got myself something good to snack on and got aaaall excited for this book.
Yay.



BORING. A bland concoction of data and good sex scenes.

This book is wikipedia combined with hot sex , and the end result isn't more than 2.25⭐, even though the MMCs are quite good and I did like the side characters , no, scratch that, I liked the whole setting , but Finn and Beck's story fell flat.

Finn and Beck are roommates at college, Finn being a virgin gay dork in a house full of ripped jocks, who are all friends.



🟢 Finn has a crush on Beck, but we don't have the privilege of reading about it, no pining.

🟣 Beck decides out of nowhere that he wants to be Finn's wingman, when he finds out Finn is a virgin and that turns into them going out together, spending time together and ultimately kissing.

Who is Beck exactly? His character wasn't well developed. His bi-awakening wasn't convincing, the only thing that got me was Beck and Finn's dancing, that was super hot and I loved it, that was a real bi-awakening, the rest was bland.

🔵 Their dialogues worked only when they had sex, so if for nothing else, try out this book for that alone.

I liked Alex very much, he's a total slut and Beck's bestie (or is it Mike??), Matt is an all-american jock and a pretty great guy, Eli is a beautiful twink who's not mentioned much, but he lives here and he's a funny nice guy and Jax, who is Matt's bestie and not mentioned at all besides lounging on the couch.

I'm really hoping the next book gets better, I mean, it's only enemies-to-lovers, what could possibly go wrong??

Mixed rating for a book I have mixed feelings for

I wish I could give this book 2 different ratings - there were parts I absolutely adored, and others that bored me to tears and made me skim.

I’ll start with the parts I adored: Finn and Beck are roommates, Finn a shy nerd (and gay), Beck a lot more outgoing and definitely NOT a nerd. And straight, or so he thinks. During a game of “Never have I ever…” Finn admits that he’s a virgin, and Beck offers to be Finn’s wingman to help him overcome his shyness and “lose his v-card” (I really hate the term 🙄)

Anyway. When they go dancing in an LGBTQ club, they end up making out, and Beck discovers that he’s more than fleetingly attracted to Finn.

I loved them together, but idk… I mean - I’m not expecting realism from these books. But nerdy, shy virgin Finn is VERY FAR from what I expect a virgin to be, he’s obviously VERY experienced in everything he does (even though he’s only had a free hookups) - and I mean a level of experience that includes rimming, or even breath play. It feels like the author packed every kink she’s heard about into this book.

On the other hand - Beck, the “womaniser”, is very enthusiastic when it comes to everything gay (apart from coming out).

So yeah. A bit much at times.

And another part that made me skim: there’s a lot of nerdy talk (about physics/astronomy- which is interesting on itself, but felt out of place here). And there’s a LOT of Finn being very understanding and even psychoanalysing Beck. I mean - Finn is barely 21, and Back only slightly older, but in these talks, Finn sounded like an experienced psychologist.

So I’ll rate some parts with 5 stars, others with 2 -

i have very mixed feelings about this.
at the beginning i absolutely adored finn and i didn’t like beck very much.
beck had a captain america complex for the first part of the book, acting like he had to save everyone. which is not bad per se, but when it happens three times before the 40% mark it makes me question things. i think the author did it to make beck more enjoyable because he was kind of an asshole later on (i will get to that) but honestly a wanna be steve rogers isn’t the way to do that.

i actually liked beck when he wasn’t looking around for victims to save and i actually enjoyed his friendship with finn.
i loved the way they tried to get into the thing that the other loved so they could understand it and share their interests.
they had great chemistry, both as friends and as lovers. their dynamic was great and i liked that the virgin nerd wasn’t a dumbass for once and was more experienced.

i absolutely didn’t like that beck didn’t acknowledge finn whenever they were with other people. coming out is difficult and scary and you should take your time and do it on your terms. but there is absolutely no reason why you should hide your friendship with another person. beck fucked up real hard and finn acted like a doormat and forgave him way too quickly.

the last chapter had a rather abrupt ending and the epilogue was kind of short and didn’t make up for it.

whenever i have mixed feelings writing the review helps me decide and really understand what i want to rate a book but i am still confused.
there were some things i absolutely loved and others that i didn’t like at all.
so i’m going to give this 3 stars but i might change it in the next few days.

Honestly the different in writing and chemistry between the plot and the sex scenes was too big not to notice. I almost dnf’d at the start because everything felt really preachy and it made the dialogue feel really unnatural.

Beck finds a 17 year old at a party and takes her to get a soda cause she was too young. He walks past a guy and a drink girls and claims “she’s too drunk to consent” and pulls them apart. Then he goes “big brother mode” on the girls about staying together and staying safe. There was also a message in there to make sure to eat after drinking. Like yes all these things are important and should be followed irl, but they felt so forced and performative in the book as if the author was getting really hard to force these lessons on us.

Also there was two instances of huge science lore drops, it went on for so long I started skipped ahead because it was like the narrator was reading pages of a science book.

But then the sex scenes were great! The chemistry between Finn and Beck was amazing and it really reminded me of Neve Wilders “Want Me” in those moments. It felt like the plot and the sex scenes were all written at completely different times because of how different the quality was.

I’m not sure if I wanna continue the series, but the next book has better reviews so I might give it a shot before totally quitting.

Never Have I Ever is an enjoyably entertaining roommates with benefits to lovers story. It is mostly low angst and features a great friendship and relationship between two sweet roommates who are easily smitten with one another and getting the other to admit to their true feelings is where all the fun stems from.

Finn is a shy introverted intellectual who has had feelings for his roommate, Beck ever since they met. Their relationship rapidly changes from roommates to something more once Beck discovers after a simple game of Never Have I Ever that Finn is a virgin and later he learns he is also gay. Beck being the standup guy that he is makes it his mission to help Finn find his Mr. Right and eventually he learns he might just be that person.

Overall this is a light, fun and sweet romance where the friendship is the initial main focus, which quickly changes course once Beck and Finn acknowledge their mutual chemistry that could be so much more.

This is a great first entry in this entertaining series and I am looking forward to the next one!

3.5 stars - I had extremely low expectations here purely based on the title but I was pleasantly surprised. It was more mature than I expected. I’m a sucker for the nerd/jock scenario. I actually really liked these characters and the story was low-angst but not boring. It had more steam than I was expecting but they didn’t just feel like mindless sex scenes which was nice. The ending finished a bit abruptly I was looking forward to the family meeting although also glad it didn’t drag on too much. Overall this was a nice, easy, predictable read. I’m interested in Eli’s story.

I do feel compelled to mention that they practice erotic asphyxiation (choking, breath play)here without any discussions first about risk, safe way to stop or even acknowledging that it is dangerous. Breathe play is never zero risk. Given this is a college book with 2 sexually inexperienced people im disappointed the author didn’t mention the risks and have some form of conversation about safety here, even them doing a quick google search would have sufficed! They also go straight into no condoms which I can’t help but frown upon in this kind of book as I feel pretty strongly about condom use being normalised for college aged people.

Woo boy am I in the minority for this book. First off the first 25% or so was basically the author letting us know how much of a feminist she is. I think it’s great but it got to the point that it was a bit preachy but not only that it was verrrry unrealistic for a college age guy to go off on tangents about Women issues.

After 25% it just completely stops and instead we get a huge ass lesson on space, which is great if the character is into it, but it was pages and pages, and I got to the point where I was literally just skipping it all because my eyes were glassing over.

The sex was hot. I’ll give the author that, she for sure knows how to write sexy times. I also loved Step Bully by this same author, so I think it was just this specific book that did nothing for me. I’ll for sure give the author another try though!

Don't you love stumbling across a new author and book where you have zero expectations but are really pleasantly surprised? 😍

I'm going to start with my hesitations to read this, to contrast with what I came to love about this cute af story.

Firstly, the book title did nothing for me (I weirdly hate that game). Next, I'm a bit wary of reading college based mm romances, as often you're stuck with way too much 'bro' dialogue (mind you after reading this, if I never hear the phrase 'cum gutters' again it will be too soon!). And finally, often bi awakening stories have too many biphobic presumptions and slurs to deal with.

BUT... There is a youthful innocence and beauty to both these boys that I just found captivating. Beck's sporty popularity contrasted with his genuine kindness was the perfect bro anti-stereotype. His transparent approach to his bi self awareness was heart-warming (absolutely frigging loved that there was no "Omg, why am I feeling this towards a guy!"). Enter Finn, the shy, gay science nerd who is incredibly sensitive (almost to a fault) to Beck's developing sexual awareness.

Their very beautiful and very honest communication (albeit a tad unlikely for boys of this age, but I happily suspended reality as the writing was that good!) had me hooked.

And then the heat started....

Second read through on audio: loved this book just as much the second time around! I love being able to reread books I love and listen on audio!! Highly recommend this story still!

Wow!!! I loved absolutely everything about this book. From the first word to the last. Even the commas. It was a fantastic book! I didn’t realize going into it that this was the same author as Step Bully but once I found out I was excited as I enjoyed that book. But this book!!! Blew Step Bully out of the water.

This was such a beautiful, sweet, low angst love story about two guys that really couldn’t have been more perfect for each other.

Beck was the absolute sweetest guy. The way he handled himself at the frat party with the freshman girls was amazing!!!! Yes he definitely had his issues with coming out but for the most part Beck and Finn were able to talk through them so there wasn’t too much angst or frustration between the couple. Becks family sounded amazing and I’m so glad he had that support system.

Finn is an awesome character and I absolutely related to him saying he was an “introverted extrovert”. I am exactly the same and I loved that explanation. I loved the other side to him that came out once he got to know Beck better.

What these two guys got up to was unreal. Please please please make sure to read the bonus scene!! I don’t always read bonus scenes but I’m so glad I read this one!!! You won’t be disappointed.

I’m super excited about Alex’s story next. I love surprise texting between enemies to lovers so can’t wait to read that book!

Ugh be still my beating heart, this book was beautiful! It was sweet and steamy and left me with an overall gooey feeling inside. It was a low angst read with two all-round great MCs who I couldn't help loving from the get-go. Witnessing Beck and Finn grow their relationships both together and with others was refreshing, and I loved how they both supported each other through everything unconditionally. This was such a fun heart-warming read that has left me super excited for the next book in the series!

I really enjoyed this book. I will say that all of the science was unnecessary. Yeah I get that we need to know that Finn was super smart and loved astronomy but it was too much.

This was a bit of a slow burn which I felt kept with Finn being a virgin. But even that is slightly misleading. Finn wasn’t inexperienced. He’s made to seem that way during their never have I ever game. I did enjoy his character. He was reserved but not uptight. He just protected himself. And I do love when the quiet ones are loud in bed. The issues with his parents were more told than shown and the conflict about his schooling seemed a tad forced and overly dramatic.

Beck was made to seem so promiscuous during the game but he actually wasn’t at all. He was a good guy. He seemed to genuinely care about others. I did think his fears regarding coming out ended up being anticlimactic. Which is preferred in real life but ended up being rushed in the book.

I loved the sex in this book. Both were so into it and really fed off each others energy. I also appreciated that they had a few kinks but those weren’t really explored in the book so much as mentioned. I also loved how their roommates could hear them and no one said anything!

The book was too long with important parts rushed - so the balance was off. However, I enjoyed reading this book and will read the second one.

ok so honestly i only suffered through this bc i really want to read book 3 (i cant read out of order 🤦🏼‍♀️) and also saw the rest of the series is better than this one which is why im continuing… but holy fuck man

some parts of this were so painful to get through. there were a few plot holes, and there was way too much unnecessary dialogue, on top of astronomy lessons that i just did not give a damn about (which is realllly saying something bc i am obsessed with astronomy and a slut for anything science related). i skipped TEN pages worth the first time it happened. toward the end i started semi skipping and skimming because i was extremely bored.

those things being said… i loved all of the characters, i loved the friend ship all of the boys in this house have with one another, i loved that everyone was extremely excepting of beck when he finally came out, etc. there are many things i actually reallly loved about this book. but the writing could have been A LOT better and i’m hopeful it’ll improve through the next few books 🤞🏼

also, the spice was DELICIOUS. the entire club scene was *chefs kiss*. the library???? phenom 😏😏😏

An anomaly!

I ate this up, huh? Don’t get me wrong. Objectively, it wasn’t very good lmaoooo. But for some reason, it hooked me.

I guess there’s something about horny college boys that gets me? Either way, I had a good time. The SMUT. Yes yes yes.

Never Have I Ever: Punched My Roommate’s V-card is book one in Never Have I Ever series. This friends to lovers MM romance story is about Beck and Finn.

Beck and Finn are college roommates, and they live with three other guys. Beck is a straight jock that ends up being bisexual while Finn is a nerd and gay. They actually don’t really know each other well, so it was nice to get to see them become friends. Finn has secretly had a crush on Beck. One night out ends up with Beck and Finn hooking up. Beck tells Finn he can’t promise more but is interested in continuing to hook up and Finn agrees.

Once Beck finally starts to accept that he is bisexual, he is still scared and not ready to tell anyone. This means he has to keep the fact that he is hooking up with Finn a secret. I can understand why Beck was like this and I appreciated Finn’s patience. What I didn’t like was how Beck was keeping his friendship with Finn a secret too. This bothered me and I felt bad for Finn. There was a chapter where they talk a lot about astronomy, and although I appreciated Beck supporting Finn with it, I thought their discussion when on a bit too long and found it a little boring.

Beck and Finn definitely got to know each other, and they even explored their kinks together. We see them share some steamy and sweet moments. Finn was supportive of Beck when he was ready to tell his friends and family about them. Beck was also supportive of Finn when he decided to stand up to his parents and decide what he wanted to do for his career. These two ended up being great for each other, and it was nice to see Beck and Finn get their HEA in the end.

I read this month ago and never reviewed it but I do remember liking it but hating the name of the book 🤣 I’ve read book two already maybe I’ll circle back to book 3 soon.

I enjoyed the first half of this book more than the second. And yes it’s a me problem not a book problem.

Never have I ever: punched my roommates V-card is a M/M romance which i listened to on audiobook. It’s the first in the Never have I ever series.

Finn is a book smart, down to earth guy with a big heart. He’s also a virgin despite his previous hook ups. He wants to find a special guy to go all the way with.

Beck is a confident guy that seems to have everything he wants. He offers to help Finn find a man and these two start to become good friends.

I loved the start of this book and I thought it was heading for a 5 star slam dunk, however the dynamics the book set up weren’t what was delivered. I was thinking this was going to be about Beck discovering how much he liked Finn and realising it was more than platonic. Instead we got a closet bisexual who just needed a push to come out.

I really liked both characters and their chemistry was great. I just felt like Beck decided to accept he was bi and then the romance was instant. I would’ve like more angsty.

I’m reading one book from each author attending RARE at the moment, so I’ll happily revisit this series at a later date. I enjoyed this book but was a little disappointed. This doesn’t mean I’m giving up on the Never have I ever series.

Fluffier than I expected and very adorable and enjoyable. I have to admit that like everyone else, I skimmed all the astronomy nerding out pages. But hey that just proves how perfect Beck is for Finn because he enjoyed all that lol. This book is ridiculous and there is quite a bit that doesn’t make sense but I don’t think it’s really asking us to understand it, rather it just takes us for a ride.
