When Orsino, a ruthless enforcer for his family's powerful mafia, shakes down a desperate man over a debt to their casino, he expects the usual pleas and excuses. What he doesn't expect is the man's omega son, Ethan, to step forward with an unthinkable offer — himself as payment.
Ethan is an innocent omega. A virgin vet tech with dreams of opening his own pet shelter. He knows nothing of the dark world he's stepping into, but his determination to save his father leads him into Orsino's cold embrace.
To everyone's surprise, including his own, Orsino accepts Ethan's offer and takes him home, giving him a place in his own room. The hardened mafia man finds himself slowly drawn to Ethan's pure heart and gentle nature, breaking down the walls he’s built around his own. As their bond deepens, Orsino's icy exterior melts, and he begins to fall for the innocent omega who has turned his world upside down.
Jena began writing in January of 2013 as a New Year's Resolution--and so far she has stuck to it!
She lives in Michigan. By day she works as a web developer, and at night she writes. Born and raised on a farm, she spends most of her free time outdoors, playing in the garden, or riding her horses. She also helps run the family dairy farm.
It was fucking Quick it was like eating a snack but your siblings already ate half of it. There's barely any room for development. Okay lemme just say one thing real quick, third act Angts doesn't fucking fit in a shortass book
So lightweight I had to keep my reader from floating away! 😉 The omega who sells himself off to pay negligent parent’s gambling debt is a familiar trope. That he was bought by a scary mafia dude is familiar, too. The shy little omega is lucky that the big bad guy is a softy marshmallow for him.
There were a lot of mentions of an omega harem in the mobster mansion, but no visits or details of it. This is the second time that I have read of a harem in an MM omegaverse story.
As easygoing as the story is, there are violent scenes of people being worked over, including omega’s dad and there was talk in the beginning as the little omega is being negotiated for that he could have been auctioned off in an unwilling omega auction where the omegas are mistreated and often disappear. This is human trafficking and it was unsettling to read in a somewhat superficial romance.
”Anything for you, omega. I’d burn the world if you asked. I’d adopt all the dogs. Just say the word.” - Orsino

My Notes: Short, sweet, and to the point. In a 100 page story, it’s hard to hit all the events with detail which stinks because this would be a really good full length series. Each of the stories are around 100 pages and very fast paced. This series is a nice little break for my brain to recuperate while reading more complex novels. That being said, this one hurt my heart because I was looking forward to Orsino’s story and I feel like we missed out on the best parts. The heat sex sounds like it went longer than one scene but we miss out on it. When Orsino comes for Ethan it describes him as disheveled and having red rimmed eyes like he had a horrible time yet didn’t actually get to see what was happening to him in the moment. I would have loved to experience his emotions with him in real time. Ethan telling Orsino he was pregnant was just that, we don’t see Orsino’s reaction at all. We find out they’re already married during the ultrasound as well. Just feel like there was a lot we missed out on with this being short and focusing on events and such that weren’t as important.
Side Characters: Vern: Father to the Ferrini Brothers Andro: Mated to Joey, Orsino’s Alpha Brother, Head of Family Business Joey: Mated to Andro, Omega, Previously Accountant for Santos Family Trev: Ferrini Family Guard and Close Friend/Cousin Connor: Mated to Louie, Previous Harem Omega Louie: Mated to Connor, Orsino’s Alpha Brother, 2nd in Command Cord: Alpha, Head of Mennetti family, Felik’s half brother Jeremiah: Mated to Felik, Orsino’s Omega Brother, Studying Law Felik: Mated to Jeremiah, Alpha, half brother to Cord Marco: Ethan’s Alpha Dad, Recovering Gambling Addict
Definitely my least favorite out of the whole series. Nothing really happened and the third act conflict was pointless.
Also what the hell was up with the brothers in this book? I loved Andro and Louie in their books but I hated them in this one. It was like they were completely different people. So rude and annoying. Definitely made the book worse in my opinion.
I really don’t like that they have an omega auction. Yes the omegas are there of their free will but the fact that many if not most of them end up in bad places and disappear is too close to trafficking and yet they do nothing about it.
I’ve been waiting for Trev’s book so I will read the next one.
This has been a fun little series. It's a quick read, low-angst, and the perfect read to follow a heavier book. This story features the alpha brother Orsino, who is a brutal enforcer for his crime family. At the family casino, he comes across Ethan, a shy and innocent omega, who is there to pay off the debt owed by his cheating father. When Ethan learns the debt is much higher than he expected, he offers himself in payment.
Orsino knows that Ethan would be severely abused if sold. He decides to buy him himself to spare Ethan. Orsino will not force Ethan into anything and will not lock him away. Of course, he is attracted to Ethan, but not enough to force him into anything.
Ethan is also attracted to Orsino, but totally inexperienced. He has been drawn to the alpha's scent from the beginning and they get along so well that he wishes for more. Will these two find their way to a future? The book also features the previous MCs in the series. The story is not too deep, but it has a great A/O mpreg love story.
Eh, this was okay. I think I’m done with this series at this point, though. It’s too repetitive and the inconsistencies are part of that repetition.
Ethan goes from being a vet tech at an animal hospital in Centerville to working at an animal shelter 20 minutes outside the city.
He knows the man in the basement is Russo, even though he is never told the name of man in the basement.
He goes back and forth between knowing Orsino works for the mafia to not knowing what he does for work, to being startled there’s a darker side to what Orsino does, to saying he knows.
The blurb also says he is a virgin vet tech with dreams of opening his own animal shelter… but other than him working at the animal shelter he worked at all along, I don’t think there was a mention of him opening his own animal shelter.
And considering how often in this series it’s said an alpha will immediately know if they got their omega pregnant, it took weeks and a pregnancy test for Ethan to find out and tell Orsino.
So far, it was the best book compared to the previous three.
Ethan was an admirable character who was strong-willed, had a good heart, and was a very good son. Sacrificing himself to rescue his gambling addict father. His aura of innocence, his kindness, and his loyalty to his father were what made Orsino drawn to him, and he became the perfect match for Orsino. Thankfully, Ethan's sacrifice wasn't in vain. His father was a changed man.
I think this book will be the last book in this series, but I'm wrong. There will be two more books.
The following book will be about Rowan, cousin Rick's son, who was being kidnapped before with Trev, a Ferrini's bodyguard.

You're in love with the alpha who bought you. What could go wrong!
This is a great mafia series. I became invested in the characters from the first pages. Yes, there is violence, but it is not gratuitous. Despite being "mafia", these men have a moral code of conduct. The sex is hot. Keep a fan handy! There is also unexpected courage, redemption, and a connection that transcends the circumstances. In short, I loved this book. You need to get it Now! Oh, and please read the previous books in order. You will be glad you did.
4/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.
Content Warnings for book: Pregnancy, sex trafficking, violence, addiction (not MCs), torture, birthing

I mean what can I say. These are the perfect popcorn/snack books. Shorter end, fluffy, have all the predictability an anxious person like me could want. Size difference, omegaverse, mafia but “good”, a baby at the end.
Perfectly enjoyable, even with the little bit of construed 3rd act angst. Can’t wait to pick up the next one.
I am enjoying this series so much. I wish this book was a little longer and more family gathering with their dad too. I have really enjoyed this series it is low angst.. that’s my kind. I need to go back and leave reviews for the others. As soon as I was done I went straight to next book. I love these two and glad the alpha found his omega. I can’t wait for the next book!
if you want a cheesy quicky, this is the story you want, a total cliche. clueless virgin omega meets ruthless alpha that is a mafia man but is also a good person?? then the same omega who knows the alpha is in tha mafia gets mad because alpha is acting like a mob boss? also he leaves and does not tell alpha he's pregnant?? baah

If you’re going to try and fit in a third act breakup, the book needs to be longer than 100 pages. It’s not enough time to delve into the characters or their romance tbh. Just keep it short and sweet, and work with the plot you already have. Ethan just sold himself to a mobster that he doesn’t know…maybe work with that and have them connect and bond.
This is a mafia omegaverse romance with mpreg, the fourth book in a series that should be read in order. This was an interesting concept in the series. A son is desperate to save his father and offers to sell himself for auction, but Orsino steps up instead. I think it’s fascinating that each family member meets their mate in different ways.
This is a low angst fun series to read. This family definitely lives in the grey no white nights here but they are absolutely teddy bears for.their partners. Look forward to the next book.
Igual que los otros tres que leí de esta serie, una historia de fantasía demasiado fantasiosa. Parece que quien los escribió es un adolescente de quince años. En fin, no leeré ni uno más de esta serie
I'm loving this series. Orsino and Ethan may have started unconventionally but they found true love. It was sweet. I wish the stories were longer. But I still love em. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
