Aurora Ryan is a woman of many talents, hiding her trauma isn’t one of them. She’s been living with PTSD for years, following brutal sexual assault and drugging that happened when she was in college. She lost everything that night except for her brother Lucas, her two best friends, and the man who eventually becomes her husband. They’ve all begged her to seek therapy, but she’s just not interested. She can’t bring herself to let anyone else in.
One night she meets Cole Armstrong at a company event and then weird things start happening, bringing back all the trauma she felt that fateful night in college. The night that changed her whole life. At first, Cole just seems like an over zealous guy with a crush, but as time goes on, things get weird and she soon realizes she and Cole have far more of an entangled past than she first realized. She must then fight like never before to regain control of her life and show the world she’s not a woman to be messed with.
This book is by one of my good friends and I really enjoyed it! It is a good suspense book for this time of year since our main mmc is a stalker! This book isn't spicy but it's still good!
I loved Aurora. Even with her traumatic past and still living with that trauma and anxiety while also being stalked she was still strong and confident. She owned her own business and was happily married, just trying to live a normal life. I loved her sass!
The mmc was of course the stalker and he was down right crazy and unhinged and I liked getting to read the book through the stalkers eyes instead of trying to guess who the stalker is!
I like Brody too, he had a past but he loved Aurora and would do anything to protect her!
Laura was the best friend any girl could want! I love her character and how she always told Aurora the truth and was blunt and funny! Michael was a great best friend too! I am glad nothing affected their friendship!
with this newfangled trend - which actually probably got its start with the movie “Shane” - of making the villain’s origin story somewhat compelling and his role as a villain almost justifiable (as opposed to the old-school method of simply having him be to-the-bone evil) I don’t think I’ve ever felt as bad for a guy that I wanted to see dead as Cole. I mean, c’mon, when your own pops is one of your bullies, that’s rough! plus, his only friend pulls a “shy-brother” on him - iykyk - and steals the girl of his dreams. ouch!
A decent quick read but I feel it still left a bit to be desired. I enjoyed the perspective shifts so you could get into the stalkers mind. However, I wish those would have been labeled per chapter whose perspective you were in. I also feel like Cole killing his best friend Rod was totally random and there was zero follow up on it.

This was a very mediocre story, no twists or big surprises. It seems like it was written by a young teen, not just in the way the story was told but also by the sheer volume of spelling and grammatical errors I found.
I liked the story. I would’ve given the book 4 stars based on that alone. However, I came across grammatical and spelling mistakes with words and full sentences that became hard to look past and messed with the flow of the book. Some of the language was a bit repetitive at times, and I was slightly bothered by the lack of dialogue tags. There were many instances where characters would say each others name in conversation, to indicate to the reader who is speaking to who, when there could’ve been a simple dialogue tag or “[character’s name] said.” I also wish the chapters would have been titled to inform the reader whose perspective would be coming up.
