Brides of the Moon Blade Clan #3

Bound to the Orc Hunter

Rate this book
The gorgeous orc I just met says I’m his bride . Yeah, right.

When I wake in a strange forest, surrounded by “monsters” and “magic,” I’m sure it’s all some reality-TV prank. My carnival job means I know a lot about all the ways people can be fooled.

And the “orc” telling me we’re goddess-matched and married has got to be the biggest hoax of all. Branikk’s movie-star good looks and charming words are way too good to be true.

But I keep making ludicrous things appear in ways Hollywood special effects can’t match, a unicorn just spoke to me, and when I get an eyeful—a really big eyeful—of Branikk, he’s green everywhere.

When a talking dog asks for our help to save his people from soul-sucking fae, I finally start to believe I’m in Faerie. But I’m not falling for a handsome guy ever again, no matter how much Branikk’s touch sets me on fire. I’m not. Not even a little bit.

Bound to the Orc Hunter is a steamy fantasy monster romance featuring a charming orc warrior who falls fast and a witch heroine who needs to discover the magic of love. Welcome to the Moon Blade Clan, where heart-melting romance, toe-curling steam, magic, and adventure combine into stories you’ll devour.

This was a great orctober read, with plenty of silliness and body positivity. I liked that Grace was a mechanic with the weirdest of the gifts so far. Branikk was perfect for her because he was so sunshiny and full of compliments that Grace eventually learned were sincere. He also was pretty impulsive, which Grace counterbalanced with her cautious practicality. The talking puppies were adorable too.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: discussion of bullying, internalized body shame, ostracism, falling from a great height, animal/monster attacks with some blood and risk of death, drugging from poison weapon, references to emotionally unavailable parents, hunting (low detail)

Super sweet with a HEA!

I really enjoyed reading the third book of the Brides of the Moon Blade Clan series! And while, I didn’t love it as much as the first two I still really enjoyed it. The magic of it all mixed with a sweet happily ever after was worth the read.

The one thing I think that may have deterred me a bit in this one is the FMC. I don’t know if I really connected with Grace all that much. Her and Brannik were meant to be, there’s no question about it and I loved their moments together on the page.

But, Grace’s inner dialogue was kind of off putting because of the incredible amount of times she thought and said “hella this or hella that” it was so over the top and didn’t fit in with the world in which these books take place. Maybe I’m not hip or down with the lingo but it was annoying and over used lol. Aside from that I would recommend this book/series wholeheartedly. Happy reading all!

What can I say? I’ve been enjoying this series so much. This one is book 3 in the series and might be my favorite so far.

Grace, the FMC, works as a mechanic for carnival rides. I don’t know why, but I just love this. Branikk, the MMC, is an orc (duh!) who is a hunter for the Moon Blade clan. Like the previous books, Grace finds herself falling out of the Earthly dimension and into a forested new one. Branikk feels the call of the Moon Goddess, notifying him of the arrival of a bridal offering .

I love the banter and it occurs between almost all of the characters, making it an enjoyable experience to read. The chemistry between Grace and Branikk is fun to watch, especially as they get to know one another while traveling back to Branikk’s village. There are some wonderful spicy scenes to enjoy along with an HEA so, really, what’s not to like here?

Magic, orcs, gnomes, pixies, and other beings along with humor, sadness, courage, battles between good and evil, and dashes of spice combine here to form a wonderful story about body image, strength, happiness, and ultimately, love.

Another fun addition to the Brides of the Moon Blade Clan series - I loved this book!

Grace had me laughing from the start, from her thoughts to her magic, she was instantly likeable. Branikk was adorable and the perfect orc for Grace.

Aurora and Rune were great companions on the journey, I adored seeing different fae, including gnomes and the wolves.

I just love how easy it is to read these books, you easily get lost in the world and you just want to keep reading on.

If you’re looking for sweet and sexy, Bound to the Orc Hunter is the book for you! I love how Krista always has wide variety of heroines represented in her novels and we have something for us tall, broad-shouldered girls this time around. Lots of action and a great found family feel will get you quickly through the book and leaving you with a smile on your face.

I’ve been using the Orc Brides series as my go-to palette cleanser between darker reads, but unfortunately, Bound to the Orc Hunter didn’t quite land for me the way I’d hoped. While it still has the signature Krista Luna mix of adventure, orc spice, and playful fantasy elements, the series is starting to lose some of its shine.

Each book introduces a new heroine with a different magical power and a new orc love interest with a distinct role in the clan, but personality-wise it’s all starting to feel like a rinse and repeat. Grace, the heroine in this one, is supposed to be a mechanic with a logical mind, but I didn’t really see that reflected in her character. Instead, she had the same overly sweet, wide-eyed innocence as the others. And if I had to hear her say “hella” one more time, I might’ve screamed.

That said, I really do appreciate the effort Luna puts into giving her heroines different body types. A lot of romance stories tend to rely on the same physical mold for their female leads, but Luna consistently steps outside of that. It’s refreshing to see a variety of women being centered, loved, and desired on the page.

The spicy scenes are still solid. Luna knows how to write heat, but the immature tone of the dialogue and character voice made those moments feel a little awkward this time around.

If you’re a fan of the series and just want something light and silly with monster romance vibes, you’ll probably still find it fun. For me, this one was just okay. Cute, sure. Memorable? Not really.

I’m more than a little behind on ARC reviews at this point, health issues be damned. But I’m trying to catch up! Branikk’s story was the one I had been looking forward the most thus far, his personality appealing and the laid back & carefree to everyone else’s gruff and grumpy lol. As much as I love grumpy sunshine (a whole freakin lot), it was really nice to have a softer, sweeter orc take center stage. His gentle reassurances, focus on the positive and joys the world & his bride has to offer, and overall light aura gave me the warm fuzzies. And I really adored Grace, her grit and determination from being a mechanic coupled with compassionate heart and easy kindness make her easy to adore.

I felt like the pace of this one went even faster than the others due to all the fighting with the slaugh, so it was really hard to put this one down. I needed to know, ya know?

The way Grace was accepted at the village made me misty too, because boy do I feel her and that desire to be accepted. 🥹

AND! Puppies!!!!! ♥️

A cute whirlwind romance. This was more for a comfort read where I didn’t want heavy plot or spice so this fit my mood for reading. Overall it was sweet. This is a standalone series and I did not read the 2 books prior. Not really my vibe…. Which is on me because I deal with my own insecurities and I I don’t like to read about insecurities because I read to escape them not live them… i tend to read books where the MFC is either a badass and/or secure happy sunshine vibes…but I didn’t hate it and I am interested enough to find out about the follow book and see how grumpy Shrumm finds love… sounds like he has history….

Grace is a carnival 🎡 mechanic who is unlucky in love. She’s insecure due to how men have treated her in the past over her abnormal 6 ft height and muscular build. She realizes she’s been played a fool by a co-worker she thought liked her but was only flirting with her to get her to do his work. She’s hurt and makes a couple wishes and before she knows it she’s falling from a carnival swing she’s working on.

Branikk is a hunter who wishes he had a mood bound bride chosen by the goddess for him like his friends. As he has that thought he gets a “calling” from the goddess that he has a gift. He follows the calling for a few days travel where he finds Grace.

Grace wakes up disoriented and doesn’t know where she is but knows she did fall but not how she got to where she is but is happy that she’s alive. She doesn’t have time to process because she’s be attacked by red eyed black birds that keep swooping down at her. She’s about to fall and she somehow conjures a bouncy house to break her fall. The birds keep attacking when a green man she thinks is in costume comes to capture the bird. He’s speaking another language but he uses a stone to her skin to have them understand each other.

She conjures pillows to throw at him to keep him away which he thinks is a human mating ritual. He’s actually pretty cute how badly he wants her right away. She’s confused and starts thinking this is some reality punk show and she’s the center of the joke. I just couldn’t get on board with her believing that it was tv when there would be cameras, a team of people and such… so I found that piece kind of annoying.

They travel for days on his unicorn in route for his village. She keeps thinking he’s an actor and his feelings aren’t real despite his efforts to try to woo her. He tells her nothing but the truth that she’s his moon bound bride and they are husband and wife chosen from the mood goddess herself and e was brought over from the human realm to this realm that has been closed off from others for 300 years. He scares her when he says he loves her right away and she thinks the show is taking a cruel turn.

He wants to know more about her but she’s closed off and doesn’t have any trust after how’s she’s been treated and unloved by all she’s ever known to include her parents. He’s a happy golden retriever trying to catch the ball no matter how many times it’s been thrown… he doesn’t ware down.

He explains to her she’s a witch and she couldn’t use her magic in the human world but she can in this realm. She has the power to conjure up things with a wish and a thought. She can only conjure up carnival stuff and sexy time stuff. She conjures a Ferris wheel 🎡 and it makes the magical creatures there happy but it also draws the attention of these soul eater birds that have had a taste of her and want more.

Branikk makes her a bracelet with his earth wood magic and she’s starts to cave to her feelings. But it’s still a battle for her to trust that anyone could actually love her. When she finally realizes that this is a real world is when she realizes he’s been telling the truth.

The Ferris wheel gains the attention of fae wolves looking for help because they’ve been attacked by the soul eaters. They think she is an elf. She’s a human witch instead but they still ask for her help. She agrees because she wants to protect the vulnerable puppies. Branikk falls harder for her.

She helps conjure up net guns that capture the bird soul eaters alive that leaves the rest of the flock paralyzed so they don’t attack. But the one being that had a taste of her soul is after her specifically and they all flock to her. They have time to formulate an attack plan getting the help of a Fae cat and a dragon and one of the other human witches.

When they are attacked they are overwhelmed and the birds used a sleeping herb to put the dragon down. Branikk saves grace by killing the soul eater specifically after her but they get overwhelmed by the birds trying to free the captured birds. One swoops in and drops a new kind of sleeping herb that they don’t have an antidote for but before it takes effect Grace realizes she’s in love with Branikk and wants to protect him so she conjures the swing that keeps the birds from swooping in. She goes unconscious.

Branikk takes her to an herb healer friend that saves Grace just and time. After 3 days she’s wakes up and they admit their love for each other. They get pregnant and have their HEA.

✨ARC Review/Release Week!✨

I love reading Krista’s books. They’re so emotional, happy, and relatable. It’s great how she leaves us wanting more of side characters and then BAM! the next book is about them.

Grace and Branikk are so great for each other. True mates that perfectly balance each other out. I LOVED his mount (Aurora) and our adorable wolf/doggy creatures that were introduced! We also got to revisit the characters we’ve met and grown to love so far.

I can’t wait to read the next one and see how the growing alliance works together to take down the sluagh!

“But why is something that brings people joy considered useless? Things that bring happiness and entertainment make people's lives better. Isn't that something to celebrate?”

“I love you with every beat of my heart, with every breath I take. I love you with every piece of my body, mind, and soul.”

a tall and big FMC who feels unlovable being absolutely worshipped? yes please!

I LOVE this series. It’s such a fun fantasy romance story that’s loaded with feel good moments.

The FMC (Grace) is a tall and broad woman from a stern upbringing, she works at a carnival as a machine engineer. Our MMC is a charming hilarious hunter oh, and obviously an orc!

The building of their relationship? Chefs kiss! The MMC is absolutely smitten from day one but our FMC takes some convincing of her worth.

Spice 🌶️ 3.5 out of 5 but story makes it all the better!

I've been chasing the high of Book 1 in the series but haven't found it in this book either. This one is equally ridiculous and doesn't take itself seriously. That said, I just had no connection with either of the main characters. Except the unicorn, Aurora was saying everything we were all thinking. Also, you learn you have summoning magic and you don't practice? Test it out? Learn to get better? No, the FMC just randomly summoned carnival rides and games and left it at that...

Gleeful Goblin Review: I am utterly in love with the FMC Grace here. She's tall, physically strong, and works as a mechanic for a carnival which are all things that are thought of as being masculine features typically and so she's used to being mocked, disregarded, or otherwise thought of as unworthy of positive attention from romantic partners. "I tried having short hair for a bit in high school, but with my height and build, I immediately got the nickname Brienne, like from Game of Thrones. Brienne kicked áss, but guys never called me that in a nice way, so I’ve been growing out my hair ever since."

Personally, as someone who would literally swoon and make a fool out of myself trying to flirt with someone like Grace I completely appreciate Branikk's totally different (and IMO correct) response to Grace popping into his world to be his moon bound bride: "She’s tall—the tallest human I’ve seen—and built strong, like an orc, with wide shoulders and hips, and ample breasts. Her skin’s light, and the hair gathered on top of her head flashes yellow, the color of sunlight. Her features are strong, with a wide mouth and bright-blue eyes. She’s stunning....

Walking slowly toward her, I offer her my most winning smile. “My moon bound bride.” She mutters something, and a pillow pops into existence in her hands. Delight rushes through me. She can conjure! Orcs lack this type of magic. Ours is more nature based, such as mine, which connects with my wooden arrows to help them fly straight and true. I step closer, and she lobs the pillow at me, the softest of projectiles, easily batted aside. She throws several more. Is this a human matíng ritual? I grin and start dropping them on the ground side by side, making a nice mattress for us. My moon bound must be eager for the marriage bed! How like an orc she is. In two quick strides, I’m on her, as eager as she is to take our matíng to the next level. There are plenty of pillows, so I grasp her wrists to keep her from making more. All of the conjuring doesn’t seem to have tired her, even though she’s been using a lot of magic. Her body reacts to my touch, jerkíng against my hold with surprising strength. I love that she’s so strong. Under the king’s orders, every orc who leaves their village must carry a crystal imbued with the power of the speaking stone. Such magic is the only thing that allows the fae brought from different realms to communicate easily. I stroke it across her skin where the deep vee of her pink human shirt exposes the tops of her lovely breásts. I want to kiss her there, lick her taste into my mouth, mark her with my tusks. “There,” I say. “You should be able to understand me now. “What? How?” Her sky-blue eyes widen. Such an unusual color! Thin black lines radiate outward from her pupils, invisible from a distance, but fascinating up close."

I love how into Grace that Brannik is and it's sweet but also sad that even in the face of having done magic herself, seeing her new husband THE ORC, his unicorn, and the rest of this magical world poor Grace is so convinced this all must be fake, Brannik is an actor, etc. because at least in part there's no way someone so handsome would be into her. Given Grace's disbelief, it's tremendously satisfying to see Brannik make her understand exactly how wrong she is about being undesirable. These two are so much fun to watch come together and further flesh out this world that I've come to love so much. 5/5 Stars

💚 “I love you with every beat of my heart, with every breath I take. I love you with every piece of my body, mind, and soul.”
~~~
Grace is awesome! She’s kind, compassionate, caring, fun and always ready to help those in need. Even more, I loved her courage, strength and creativity. As a carnival worker, Grace is dedicated to her job and truly cares for the safety of others. But she’s been overlooked and underappreciated her whole life and has always felt she doesn’t fit in. Maybe she just needs the right male to show her she’s perfect exactly as she is. Grace is one absolutely incredible woman and I loved her so, so much!
Branikk is one of the Moon Blade Clan’s hunters. He’s a strong, loyal, fiercely protective and badass warrior. Even more Branikk is patient, understanding, considerate and so, so charming. Honestly, he’s the sweetest! And, oh-my, that filthy, filthy mouth of his! Branikk might be a fierce cinnamon roll in the streets but he’s definitely a daddy Dom in the sheets. This orc hunter is utterly irresistible and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Grace and Branikk! Grace is transported to Alarria and is attacked by the sluagh, when she’s saved by a huge green male. And from the moment Branikk sees her, he’s absolutely smitten with the fierce human female. But Grace, being under the impression that she’s part of a reality TV show, is not one to trust easily, especially men. Luckily, Branikk is a patient hunter. I adored those two together! Their chemistry was fantastic right from the start. And their banters and teasings were so much fun to read. I also really liked how supportive and protective they were of each other. Even more, I loved every moment they spent together getting to know one another. And I adored Branikk for, not only proving Grace time and time again, that he’s the one for her, but also managing to show her that she’s a woman worthy of care, admiration and love. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were scorching hot! Oh, I LOVE MAGIC! And tentacles, people! Grace and Branikk were an incredibly perfect match and more than deserved to find happiness and love together!
In addition, the storyline was incredible! We embark on another adventure through Alarria and meet even more absolutely awesome fae! Grumpy, but fierce and loyal, unicorns, mighty dragons, mischievous and sassy cat siths, gnomes, pixies, fae PUPPIES!!! And the fight against the malevolent sluagh is getting more dangerous and intense with every moment. With everything happening, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, the story is another phenomenal addition to the series! It’s filled with adventure, danger, action, twists, humor, suspense, danger, magic, blazing hot passion and spectacular characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!
Bound to the Orc Hunter is the 3rd book in the Brides of the Moon Blade Clan series. Branikk is a hunter with a lonely heart, and his moon bound bride, Grace, is a tall, strong woman who believes no one will ever truly love her. When she literally falls into his world, she believes she's on the set of a movie because this has to be some elaborate prank. The more Branikk woos her, the more she doubts him, because no one has ever shown this much overt interest in her before. It isn't until carnival rides unexpectedly pop up as a result of her magic that she begins to believe in this new world, and in Branikk.
I really love the way Branikk loves Grace. He wants to go full speed ahead on their relationship, but knows that's not what she wants or needs. He understands her, and he knows he has to tread slowly. He has to make her believe what he says is true, and that his feelings are real, before he can take that next step with her. Grace spends a lot of the book doubting herself and her unexpected circumstances. Her low self-esteem and self-doubt are products of the men on Earth who hurt her, and Branikk would like nothing more than to throw hands with every one of them. He's very much a "hurt her and die" kind of man, and I adore him for it.
When they do get down to the horizontal tango, though?? All bets are off. He's already pierced for her pleasure, which is amazing enough, but there's a little more fun in store. You can't lie to magic studs, and Grace has some fantasies that make themselves known pretty quickly. I'll admit to some jealousy, but also, good for her! She deserves all the good things.
We do see quite a bit more of the big bad this time around, and it makes me wonder how they'll get away in the next one! Krista Luna always does an amazing job with these books, and I loathe the little soul suckers as much as the characters in the story. I can't wait to see what's in store for book 4!
She believes, against all evidence, that she is on a game show being pranked. Because why would the orc want her is her reasoning. But huh?? How fucking stupid are you? You wake up in the woods with different trees and animals than exist on earth, you see magic, and you conjure your own magic. And if that’s not enough to convince you, you ride a unicorn for days with an orc and don’t stop to consider what an enormous cost that TV show you’d be? Why would you be so important that they would do that? And for what? A gotcha moment no one would care about? Grace is a fucking moron. It literally takes until the 33% mark for her to realize it’s real…
And you know what? She is a sexual predator too. She watched the MMC naked and masturbating in a stream while hidden like a goddamn creep. Just because he knew she was there and was fine with it does not make that okay behavior.
And I know I accept that from dark romances but this is a fluffy lite orc romance! It cannot have creepy shit!
Also. It DRAGGED. It was redundant and so much could have been cut out.
But I guess part of me enjoys the low risk angst free corny orc romances because I keep coming back for more. . . That being said, the next one has an ER doc and a grumpy old scarred orc and that’s right up my alley.
Fluffy. Corny. Cheesy. Preach-y.
Monster (orc) MMC. Tall strong “unlovable” FMC. Witch FMC. Magic. Charming handsome MMC. She can create carnival stuff with her magic. Talking unicorns/cats/dogs/dragins. Pierced peen (jacobs ladder). Magic stud that makes tentacles. Knotting. Breeding. Pregnancy.
I am so conflicted about this book and yet glad to see the progression this book has made for the series.
I listened to the audiobook — wonderful voice actors — and it was so jarring to hear the word hella” out of nowhere…in a book about orcs, fae, and magic. 17 times. There were one or two instances where the author could’ve gotten away with it, but each time it occurred it took me out of the book and its realm in my mind. It also made this book feel very dated, especially considering the book was published in 2024, and at that time “hella” was already a dated slang term.
I missed how the other books had training scenes for the FMCs to train and gain control of their powers. We never get a real development of Grace’s powers, nor an explanation for why she only can conjure carnival equipment and sex related objects…which feels like an odd assortment in tandem. With that, it leaves questions about the possibilities and limits of her conjuring abilities.
That said, I appreciate how the timeline is drawn out and gives way to a more realistic progression of emotions and relationship development. I also think that Grace is absolutely right in being dubious of her new reality; how the other FMCs were so accepting of their new life/realm seems almost irrational now. It was funny to see her thinking it was all a prank show.
I enjoyed the world building and incorporation of even more fae creatures and communities, and generally had a fun time reading this book. Once you get past the cringe of “hella,” it’s a sweet and easy read.
Krista Luna has done it again! "Bound to the Orc Hunter" is another hit, blending sweet and spicy romance with humor that makes reading so much fun. I gotta be honest, I'm not even here for the spicy scenes. I'm here for the fact that I love how Krista mixes in all these whimsical creatures and their fascination with human stuff. In this book, we meet Grace, a human witch who works as a mechanic at a carnival, and Brannikk, an orc hunter with wood magic. Their chemistry is off the charts, with Grace’s fierce independence and Brannikk’s rugged charm making for an exciting read. Grace magic is so much fun. I love carnivals and to have that as her magic? I'm excited as a puppy.
The book is packed with delightful magical elements. There’s a bouncy castle and gnomes, water nymphs enchanted by the Ferris wheel, and two tribes of pixies caught in a hilarious enemies-to-lovers scenario. Aurora, the unicorn with no filter, is a scene-stealer with her blunt comments.
Luna keeps adding more amazing creatures to her world. We now have Rune, the canine fae, and the twin pups, bringing a heartwarming touch to the story. The feline fae and the magnificent dragons add a sense of grandeur, and the pub in the Moon Blade village sounds like the perfect place to chill.
And then there's Sturrm, an orc who sings with such longing in his voice. Will he be the next story?
I also love how Krista brings back previous characters from this series without overshadowing the lead characters.
Carnival worker Grace finds herself portaled to a fae world and married at first sight to a hunky Orc. Brannik has been holding out hope for his own moonbound bride after seeing his friends find their happiness, so when Grace pops into his life, he is determined to win her over. Grace is less than enthusiastic about the new world until she realizes it's not a big hoax and lets herself enjoy the change of scenery. It doesn't hurt that Brannik is bending over backward to show her the affection she was denied in her previous world. Can she trust her feelings when it comes to the first and only guy to look at her like she hung the moon?
I've been waiting for sweet Brannik to get a story since we met him, and Grace was the perfect partner for him. She gave him a challenge with her hesitance and reluctance, but also brought out his protective "who did this to you?" side. United against a common enemy, he made time to shower her with affection and always put her first. Fictional Orc boyfriend for the win! It was also nice to see some familiar faces and learn more about the fae of Alarria. This plot has been ramping up from book one, and I'm excited to see how it goes! Plus, our Orc boys are ✨️equipped✨️, and there may have been some tentacles. (You didn't hear it from me 🤫)
This is probably one of my favorites in the series so far. I really related to Grace. As a woman who is tall and built sturdy, it sometimes makes it challenging to connect with my feminine side and feel beautiful. Not only this but the struggles she had with her family felt very familiar, so I loved getting to watch her open up to Branikk and learn that he was being genuine when he told her how beautiful he found her and how much he loved her. Getting to see her slowly open up to the reality of being with him, and being accepted for who she was was really lovely to watch throughout the book.
However I do wish that we had gotten a little more depth to our male lead. While he is extremely sweet, his own flaw seems to really be that he wants to rush into things from time to time, which we all do. We never got to see what his past was like or if he is still grappling with anything. Most of his chapters were focused on Grace and how he was going to woo her, and I wish we had a little bit more with him.
But none the less, this is an enjoyable read, and I will probably continue with the series at some point. But I definitely recommend.
"Bound to the Orc Hunter" is a thrilling dive into the fantasy romance genre that’s filled with humor, heat, and heart. Krista Luna crafts an engaging world where magic, strange creatures, and irresistibly charming orcs like Branikk make for a page-turning adventure. The heroine, skeptical and snarky, starts off thinking she’s the victim of a prank, but soon finds herself navigating a land that defies logic—and a growing bond with her fierce, green-skinned “husband.”
Luna’s writing shines in her ability to balance humor with romance, and the dynamic between the cynical heroine and her devoted orc suitor is both refreshing and endearing. Their chemistry is electric, and the mix of magical surprises, talking animals, and goddess-driven fate makes this book an enjoyable blend of whimsy and spice. If you’re a fan of fantasy worlds, swoon-worthy heroes, and a heroine who won’t fall without a fight, "Bound to the Orc Hunter" will sweep you right off your feet. Perfect for fans of monster romance with a side of laughter and adventure!
Spice: 2.5/5
Trope:
Orc Romance
Fated Mates
"Arranged Marriage"
Plot: Grace is an employee at a carnival, where she ends up assisting her co-worker with his ride, which was making a noise. While trying to fix the ride, the co-worker started the ride with her still under it, she falls, but she ends up in the woods. Branikk is one of the Moon Blade Clan’s hunters. He’s a strong, loyal, fiercely protective and badass warrior. Even more Branikk is patient, understanding, considerate and so, so charming. Honestly, he’s the sweetest! And, oh-my, that filthy, filthy mouth of his! Branikk might be a fierce cinnamon roll in the streets but he’s definitely a daddy Dom in the sheets.
Thoughts: this was a very sweet romance. Grace is traumatized by past relationships/crushes that she doesn't fully believe that she could be worthy of someone. I am so glad Branikk finally got his moon bound bride. They are so cute together.
Safety:
Virgin/ Celebate: no
Cheating/sharing: no
Triggers: none
HEA: yesssssssssss
What can I say about this author and her brilliant series that takes you on a wild ride to romance and love with Magic, Orcs, Pixies, unicorns, evil orgs and the sluagh that try and take what the Godess gives to the Orc males that a worthy of a human female. Grace is a human mechanic in a Carnival and see’s many people being fooled all the time and now she wakes in a strange place with a giant Orc telling her she is his moon Godess bride and straight away she thinks this a reality show and she is being pranked. Branikk’s is an Orc Hunter from the Moon Blade Clan who is awaken by the Godess telling him his bride has arrived and he races off to get her and saves her from the Sluagh. When he see’s her she is the perfect bride but she laughs at him and asks where the cameras are but he doesn’t know off what she is saying. There is so many lol moments and teasing that will bring a smile to your face as they dancing the instant chemistry that’s burning between them. Fantastic book.
Brannik is one hot orc. He is also inciteful an d understanding.
Grace is a one who has always been a little different from the average woman. Standing almost 6' and muscular, she has always been overlooked or unappreciated. She is filled with distrust and insecurity.
Brannik is the perfect mate for Grace. He sees the good, strength and beauty in her that she can't see.
This, like the other books in this series, is a romance with adventure as well as delightful animals. The unicorns are always entertaining and in this story wolves have been added. Each human witch contributes something, through their new magic, to the fight against the slaugh and the ogres. Grace's magic is unique and brings joy while aiding in the fight.
There is plenty of banter and heat.
I received this free ARC copy for my honest opinion.
Branikk and Grace are sweet, comical, and smoking hot together! The new Fae Krista introduces, the gnomes and the cu sith, are perfect additions to this world. Their interaction with Branikk, Grace, and all the other Fae, is humorous to say the least. Every time I pick up a book by Krista, I know it is going to be a fun read, and this book is just what I hoped it would be! The overarching storyline of the evil sluagh continues to provide the tension as well as new and creative battle scenes. Each of the human “witches,” and especially Grace, take magic to fun heights. The world building and characters Krista creates in this series are fantastical and addictive. The Pixies cause me to burst out laughing, and a few days later, I’m still laughing every time I think about them! I can’t wait until the next book in the series!
Another great book in the Brides of the Moon Blade Clan series!
This cute story between a human afraid no one really wants her and the orc determined to prove her wrong was a fun and spicy read. Grace was relatable as the woman who's always overlooked unless someone needs something from her. She's been hurt and doesn't believe the handsome orc warrior could really want her for her. Branikk was so swoon worthy as the hot orc who just needs to show Grace how much he loves and cherishes her. Their love story was just so good! And it wouldn't be an awesome Krista Luna story without an adventure, and enemy to defeat, and lots of loveable talking animal friends.
This book (and series) are perfect for when you're in the mood for a fun adventure romp of a story with lots of spicy times and a sweet HEA!
Grace is a woman that has been ridiculed and had her her heart stomped so many times that she couldn't believe that Branikk really loved her. She first thought she was on a reality t.v. show when she first met Branikk. All the things that happened and popped up she though it was special effects, but once she realized it wasn't, she tried to use her magic to help those around her. Branikk was lonely and wanted a moonbound bride of his own. When he saw Grace, he was instantly in love, but to convince her took him some time. I loved to assortment of fae animals. Each brought their own special snark to the story and helped with battle against the souleaters.
Good steamy story, soulbound mates,tons of wonderful characters, adventure, action, danger packed with happily ever bound for Branikk and Grace.
