Jail…

Local lawyer Peyton Rand should have left tempting troublemaker Tallie Bishop in the local hoosegow for as long as possible! That way, she'd keep out of trouble…and away from him. Instead, he bailed her out, just like he'd been doing for year. But as far as Peyton was concerned this was the last straw!

But that was easier said than done. Tallie had been chasing Peyton around since they were kids, but suddenly this kid had grownand in all the right places, too. And suddenly Peyton found that it wasn't going to be easy getting Tallie out of his systemor out of his life.

Beverly Marie Inman was born on 23 December 1946 in Tuscumbia, Alabama, USA. Daughter of Doris Marie and Walter D. Inman Jr. A born romantic, she fell in love with The Beauty and the Beast epic at an early age, when her grandfather bought her an illustrated copy of the famous fairy tale. Even before she learned to read and write, her vivid imagination created magical words and fabulous characters inside her mind. Movies fascinated her, and by the time she was seven she was rewriting the movies she saw on television and at the local theater to give them all happy endings. By the age of nine she'd penned her first novel. She wrote short stories, TV scripts, poetry, and novels throughout high school and into college.

After her marriage to Billy Ray Beaver, the "love of her life", and the births of her two children, Beverly continued to be a voracious reader and a devoted moviegoer, but she put her writing aspirations on hold until her children were teenagers. At every age of their lives, from infancy to adulthood, the children had been a true joy to her. She devoted herself to her husband and children and considered herself one of the many selfless "supermoms" who put their family's needs first. She believed she had had it all, just not all at the same time.

In her mid-30s, Beverly returned to her former passion — writing — as a hobby, but before 40, she decided that she wanted to make writing a full-time career. And when she rediscovered an old dream — of becoming a published writer — no one was more supportive of her aspirations than her family. Her children were her greatest cheerleaders and her husband was her biggest supporter. After writing over 40 books and receiving numerous awards and nominations, as well as having books on the USA Today list and consistently on the Waldenbooks bestseller list, her career was indeed a dream come true. Having a fantastic family and fabulous friends, as well as making a living doing the one thing she had loved doing since childhood, she considered herself truly blessed. Beverly died suddenly of heart failure on 21 April 2011.

When I was reading this book some names seemed familiar and then I figured out why, I have read the stories of the heroine's three brothers, which come after this book. The hero comes from a wealthy family and has political aspirations, he has had the hots for the heroine for years but she doesn't suit his life and ambitions and he promised her brothers to take care of her. The heroine is impulsive and caring and has loved the hero for years but never done anything about it because well she knows they are too different. I enjoyed the book, the hero was kind of uptight so it took him a while to realize that out of his life didn't mean out of his mind when it came to the heroine. I did feel the heroine loved him a bit more but overall a nice book.

Okay so sometimes it's not a good idea to go back to a books you loved as a teen, lol.
Tally was a great character and I loved that she rolled around town with her Great Dane, Solomon. But some of this made me cringe on the reread. Peyton referring to Tally as a little heathen. In the South! Yeesh. And a 27 year old gorgeous virgin heroine while the hero is wrapped up in worrying about his political image. Icky.

“—No voy a romper tu corazón, Tallie. Voy a salir de tu vida antes de hacerte más daño. Prométeme que te cuidarás.
—¿Peyt?
—Adiós, Tallulah Bishop. Voy a echarte de menos.”

A nice and quick read, with a main character who's not the usual femme fatale, nor a porcelain doll, but a tomboy!

This is an older Beverly Barton romance that takes place in the South. The heroine is Tallie Bishop a resident of a small southern town that continuously finds herself in trouble and in need of someone to bail her out. That help always comes in the form of high profile lawyer Peyton Rand.

Peyton is on the fast track to becoming the governor of Tennessee and while he promise Tallie's brother that he would always look out for her, her escapades are becoming headline news and that's not good for his political career or his relationship with a woman he's courting that could lead to matrimony. Tallie has loved Petyon for years and she knows he can't keep bailing her out of trouble. Once he stops, the relationship will be over and she'll be out of his life. She also knows that she's not the right type for his lifestyle. Peyton knows it as well but that's never stopped romance before has it? The current direction of the relationship may not be good for either of them.

This is a fast-paced book that has few surprises and no real indepth storyline. It's a good romance with a minimal amount of suspense. The outcome is inevitable but still a worth while story.

Loved this prequel to Barton's 3 Babies for 3 Brothers series about four siblings from a tiny town in Tennessee. Tallie's three older brothers left the town for greener pastures while Tallie the tomboy stayed home to run a tow truck company and fight battles on behalf of abused woman, children and animals, for which she's always putting herself in danger. Since she was 16, Tallie's been in love with Peyton Rand, who answered Tallie's brothers' request to look after her and then some. She's 26 and he's a 36-year-old hot shot lawyer on his way to becoming governor when some intense events make it so they can no longer ignore their feelings for each other.

The next three book's are about each of Tallie's brothers coming back to their hometown to roost and finding love with friends of Tallie's that we meet in Nothing But Trouble. Order: His Secret Child (about Caleb the ex pro baseball star), His Woman, His Child (about Hank the FBI agent), and Having his Baby (about Jake the cowboy and reformed womanizer).

Fun series

2.SOLO PROBLEMAS
