Stacey Reinhardt is a 22-year-old small town girl - the quintessential rebel. She loves to party and is a serial dater. Most of her relationships, if they can be called that, are one night stands or casual flings. No commitment, no strings. She meets Sheriff's Deputy Cade Dawson in a bar and is immediately intrigued by him, but Cade wants nothing to do with her. He's attracted to her, but knows she's the type of woman he doesn't need. She's a flirt and a partier used to a string of one night stands, and he's an old-fashioned man with old-fashioned ideas. He believes in respecting and protecting women. He demands loyalty and faithfulness, and he spanks. As a joke, he dares Stacey to try dating only one man for a month. She accepts and chooses him.
Much too both their surprise, they quickly find their joke relationship turning into more. Cade makes no bones about the fact that he believes in protecting women and in old-fashioned values and won't hesitate to enforce his expectations by way of a sound spanking if necessary. At first, Stacey dismisses this as an occasional thing and no big deal, but then her old ways begin to resurface, and she suddenly comes face-to-face with the fact Cades expectations and methods are very real. He will hold her accountable and spank her, and he honestly expects her to change her behavior.
Will the wild child be able to change her ways for an old-fashioned spanking man, or will her rebel spirit and the pressure and rumors of a small town tear them apart?
This is a story of a relationship just getting started. Its foundation is domestic discipline. Of course, Stacy doesn’t know that when she starts out with Cade. They meet in a bar. Cade thinks that she is a 16 year old trying to score in a bar. Stacy is actually 22 and is trying to use sex to prove that she was a woman. Cade goes to throw her out of the bar but Stacy shows him her license that proves that she is of age. Cade is embarrassed and apologizes, but Stacy decides that she wants Cade. He turns her down, but then dares her to date one man exclusively for a month. Stacy turns the table on him when she agrees and tells him he is the man. Stacy has been emotionally neglected by her parents. She is trying to find love. She finds it with Cade, but not the way she thought. Cade is old-fashioned and believes the man should be the head of the house. He draws a line in the sand and when Stacy crosses it, he spanks her. Even though she hated the spanking, she did like the feeling that someone gave her limits and stuck by those limits. Of course, true love never runs straight and they have problems to work out. This story is well written with characters that are interesting. There aren’t a lot of spankings in this story, but they are well written. The only objection I have about this story is that, in a side plot, there is a spanking of a 9 year old child. It isn’t done gratuitously, but I still think there is no place for spanking minors. I accept it in stories set in the past, because that happened then. I don’t like it in contemporary stories. But, I’m still giving this 5 stars because it really is a great story.
