Ready for the sexiest getaway of your life? USA Today bestselling author Jamie K. Schmidt turns up the heat in the sizzling continuation of her Club Inferno series—an erotic romance that mixes BDSM with a powerful emotional connection.
Reeling from a disastrous love affair, model and budding fashion designer Anya Litton needs a temporary refuge, a place to lick her wounds and plan her next career move. At Club Inferno, where seductively chic men and women indulge their most intimate fantasies, she can mix business with unimaginable pleasure. Anya quickly connects with club Dom Clint Reyes, who unleashes Anya’s deepest longings over nights of burning passion.
Clint is a master at taking submissives to the heights of pleasure in Club Inferno’s opulent private dungeons. But it’s Anya who has Clint begging for more when the woman of his dreams becomes his eager partner in exploring the limits of desire. As their relationship ignites into an erotic contest of wills—and a jealous rival plots against them both—Clint prepares to fight for a future with Anya. In this complicated dance, the wrong move could end it all . . . and taking control means total surrender.
Longing is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Longing is the second book in the Club Inferno series by Jamie K. Schmidt, but each book can be read as a standalone with interconnected characters. I had been looking forward to reading this one even though I hadn't read the first book in the series. I have been on a NA kick lately, so something completely different and erotic was exactly what I had been hoping for. Unfortunately this book just didn't do it for me, and I ended up having several issues with the story.
Anya Litton is still dealing with the aftermath of her breakup with her ex Cesare and throws herself into her work as a plus sized model. She ends up at Club Inferno with her friends and decides to teach some classes as well as take a chance on the hot stripper she has had her eye on. Clint Reyes is a well known Dom and part time stripper, but his ultimate goal is to open up a tequila bar and is only working as a stripper to come up with the money to make his dream bar a reality. He is as instantly drawn to Anya as she is to him and he sets out to make her his. Anya struggles with insecurities due to her past relationship as well as her body type, and she is also new to the BDSM scene. Can Clint show her she is all he wants and that he is worthy of her trust?
I really had some issues with Clint and Anya. Clint was sweet and supportive one minute and then judgmental the next. He completely overreacted to a situation with Anya that I found to be ridiculous and then turned it around on Anya as though it was her fault that she didn't trust him enough. I would have done far worse than question his intentions if the same would have happened to me, and he should have talked to her about it before he did anything. I didn't like how easy it was moved past and felt like it along with many other things in this book were pretty much brushed under the rug and forgotten. Anya felt weak and insecure to me, and it never seemed to end. She was constantly doubting herself regardless of what Clint would do to try and convince her otherwise and it got really old after awhile. I do think that they had chemistry, but honestly their connection felt forced to me and I just didn't ever really feel as though they had fallen in love. The story was more about what was going on around them and with the club and others that I just never really saw them go from near strangers to a solid couple.
I also felt like this book had some issues with moving from one scene to a next. Often times there were no transitions and it left me lost and confused as I tried to figure out how we got from one point to the next. I would have appreciated some kind of acknowledgement of when it was switching from POVs as well. My other problem with this story was that although it is set around a secret sex club and the BDSM scene is prevalent throughout the story and characters, this book was remarkably tame. I kept waiting for more of the steamy stuff, and this one just didn't deliver. I was hoping to get more of Clint and Anya, and I just felt like what we did get wasn't much. I think that this book had potential, and I am all for a story with a realistic heroine that isn't a perfect size zero but this one just didn't deliver.
A fast sexy erotic romance filled with laughter and some steamy no holds barred sex. Mild BDSM though some more intense acts are remarked on. The multiple storylines are easy to follow as we watch our protagonists struggle through miscommunication, misconceptions, and their own insecurities on their path to their HEA.
Anya and Clint are perfect together with their chemistry and a sense of belonging when they're on page together. I liked that while Clint was a strong Dom, he didn't have the "my way or the highway" attitude and didn't expect Anya's trust right off the bat. I also liked that while Anya was honest with herself and Clint when it came to her likes and dislikes (spank my arse and I may turn around and belt you-LOL) she was also willing to expand her boundaries.
I did find some plotlines a little eye rolling and the use of fat shaming to keep Anya's own personal conflict front and center got annoying. Especially when there is no clear resolution to it. She doesn't suddenly accept her weight-rather she chooses not to deal with the career opportunities where it'll be an issue anymore.
Regardless of some minor issues, this fast, fun, and HOT read certainly hit the spot.
Perfect! This book had me laughing, holding my breadth and fanning myself, it was just that good! Clint is a Dom that works as a stripper, a bartender, a karate class instructor, a sex video choreographer and a Dom at Club Inferno, Anya is a mostly vanilla, plus size model. While you wouldn't think these two would hit it off they do and in a big way. I wish the book was longer I just couldn't get enough of Clint and Anya!!!!
***I received an advanced proof copy from the publisher through netgalley for my honest review***
I am soo happy to finally read Anya's story. I was really rooting for Clint. Anya is plus size model and Clint is one of the favorite, super fit Doms at the club. Their attraction to each other is strong, but she has never been a submissive, and she is self conscious about being naked. Her ex shows up with his mistress, and they try everything to tear the new couple apart. Will their love overcome everything? Will they get their HEA? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just the absolute best story. It had me captivated from the beginning with the hot steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really like this one.The main character is a plus size model who. Love that it's body positive fun easy read. Enough kink to make your cheeks pink. But not enough to make you wish You didn't know.
Holy mother of hotness! Awesome awesome follow up to Heat. This book was so much more hotter than Heat. After reading Heat I wasn't sure I would like Longing, but I am so glad I requested a copy from NetGalley. This is my second book I have read by Jamie K. Schmidt, and it will not be my last. I seriously want more.
Clint is every woman's dream. OK, maybe not every woman, but he is close. He was just so... mmm! He was a dom, stripper, a poll dancer instructor, a bar tender, a dirty talker, and just an over all sexy male. He is definitely a pantie melter. After reading this book you will need a cold shower, that is just how hot is was.
After meeting Anya in Heat, I was excited to read her story. Anya is a plus size model and Fashion designer. At first she let her weight get to her, but after a while she was like ... whatever. I didn't like that Anya freaked out every time Clint wanted to try something different with her. I know that she wasn't a submissive, but she was hesitating every time Clint tried to do a scene with her, but yet she wanted to play with him. But, over all she was a pretty cool character.
I love that Miss Schmidt doesn't focus on club Inferno, but she focuses on the fashion, the characters lives, and much more. I really like her writing style, and I cant wait to read more. I also like that she focuses on all of the side characters. I can't wait to read Nefertiti and Istvahn's story!
Seriously guys give this book a read. If you are new to the BDSM world, I highly recommend this book to you because this book will give you a peak into the BDSM world, without dumping you in head first!
***Book provided by Random House - Loveswept on NetGalley for review.***
To be bluntly honest, I am not even certain why I finished this book, as from the very beginning it was clear that it had all the same issues as the first in the series. Once again we have a facility that is apparently the Swiss army knife of buildings, and a large cast of characters that are introduced in such a way as to assume we already know them. Needless to say, it is quite difficult to keep track of who anyone is, or what their role is within this world.
Additionally, I just cannot get over the tendency in this series to portray dominance as a job rather than way of life. There is just such disparity between how the male lead behaves while working in the club, and within his day to day life and relationship.
I also had problems with the female lead, as there are pretty obvious mixed messages regarding her body image. She likes who she is and how she looks, but has no problem starving herself for a role. She’s happy with her weight and size, but continually tries to hide her body from her love interest. I just…I don’t understand. I don’t think the character (or the author) has a clue who this woman actually is.
Lastly, I realize this is fantasy, but I must say I am disturbed by the use of breath-play in this book. I just feel that it is quite irresponsible to tackle a topic so fraught with danger within a series that is obviously sort of bdsm-lite.
For the sake of full disclosure it must be stated that I received this book, free of charge, from Netgalley.
Now THAT"S what I'm talking about! Holy HOTNESS batkids! This was an excellent follow-up to Heat (which did NOT do it for me at all)! I am SO glad I continued on with Jamie K. Schmidt! This author is now on my TBR list! Let me tell you what I loved the most about this book....the hero and heroine! Anya is a plus size girl who 'wants' to try new things but gets afraid when push comes to shove (read the book to find out how/why lol) but our hero, Clint, who does everything from pole dancing instructions to bartender and be ALL KINDS of sexy in between, knows how to coach Anya and get her to open. Their chemistry and connection was riveting! This is SUCH A GREAT STORY, you have got to go out and read this!!!!!
Thank you NetGallet & Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept for providing me with this copy for an honest review!
Holy Moly! This was even better than the first book in the series and I really Loved Max and Mallory. But, master Clint, had me sweating. I think it was a combination of Dom and then the moves of a male stripper. Mmm mmmm. I loved the character Anya also. I felt she was a real women who was honest and had insecurities like the rest if us.
The book was HOT!!! Even just the dirty talking between them was just as good as the actual scenes.
Thank you Net Galley and the publisher for this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was one delicious story. Clint and Anya are a great match. I love that she doesn't have to be hardcore for him to be into her. Anya brings to light issues we women have with weight and the crazy things we do to lose it. Clint loves her just as she is. The loving is off the charts hot. The main characters and supporting alike are unique and interesting. I can't wait to read more!
DNF Couldn't even get past the first few chapters. Apparently it has received good reviews, but it did not do it for me. There are too many good books out there to have to force myself to keep reading...
Choppy writing style and it did not catch me and pull me in. Maybe if I kept reading it would get better, but....maybe not.
Loved the cover so picked up the book without realizing it was #2 in a series. Didn't matter--I was in it from beginning to end. The characters are fun, the sex sizzles, and the relationship between Clint and Anya is sweet. Yep, I said it--sweet. In that I wanna do naughty things to you kind of way. Onward to the rest in the series!

Longing Club Inferno, Book 2 By: Jamie K. Schmidt Narrated by: Hanna Knox
This is my first book by Jamie K. Schmidt and it will not be my last. I enjoyed her writing style and the storylines she created, they are interesting and captivated me from start to end. I liked the characters, they are complex and well developed. Anya, a model and aspiring actress, lives and works at Couture and Club Inferno. She is friends with the owner Colleen and they are working on a clothing line. Anya is teaches a couple of classes at different parts of the club, but she is on the vanilla side of kink. She has her eyes on Clint Reyes, a resident Dom who specializes in a few areas of kink, air play, photographing and is a dance instructor as well. He was once an inspiring dancer with goals of opening up his own bar one day. Anya has some insecurities and body issues which makes her shy in some ways and afraid to approach Clint. Unknown to her Clint had his eyes on her as well. He wants to know more about her, find out her likes and dislikes. I loved how patient he was with teaching her areas of kink and letting her explore to find her own wants and needs. She swears she is not a submissive so could they really make it work? I loved these for each other, I thought they were great together. There are obstacles in their way, her ex lover and his mistress, an enemy of Anya, try to sabotage her job opportunities and her building relationship with Clint. I enjoyed how this story played out, it was nice plotted with plenty of drama, some humor, angst, twists, some hot scenes and a start to a great romance. I liked some of the other characters in this book as well and am looking forward to their stories as well. Jamie K. Schmidt, thank you for this great story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Hanna Fox is a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality, which makes it easy to follow them and the story. She does a great job projecting the emotions of the characters into her performance as well as the drama of the story. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧
Longing is the second book in the Club Inferno series, but could be read as a stand alone. While Anya helps her best friend create a clothing line, she’s waiting to hear back from her agent for her dream job of acting. Clint has caught her eye from the very beginning, but she’s worried that she’s not submissive enough to keep his interests. When they can’t resist temptation any longer, Anya and Clint try out a relationship, but with his jobs and kinks and her insecurities and ex, can they possibly find something true that lasts?
This book was fun to read and I thought the characters had an interesting dynamic. At first, it was difficult for me to fully connect to Anya and Clint as a couple because there was such a lack of trust. Anya really had some insecurities to work through, and I think Clint could have handled some things differently. But, I grew into their relationship, started to love them being together, physically and emotionally for each other. I loved the support they offered, the help when needed, and the love they started to grow. Anya was a delightful mix between sultry and shy, brave and hesitant. Clint was strong, fun, unique, and driven. The events in the book kept me engaged, too, with all of the drama from her ex and nemesis, and Clint getting dragged into the middle of it all. I loved the games they played with each other (like truth or dare) and I loved how truthful they were to each other. I enjoyed reading this book and really look forward to reading more from this author!
Book two in the series (that can be read as stand alones,) doesn't have as much of the humor that book one had. There are a few laughs, and it's still a fairly light-hearted read, despite that theme of the series. We met the Heroine and Hero in book one, so you may be familiar with them. Anya teaches an accessories class in the Fashion side of the club, and is working with the owner in a new clothing line. She is also plus sized model trying to land her first theater role. Clint is a Dom in the club, as well as a stripper in the outside world, and also teaches pole dancing classes at the club. He has a dream to open a bar. Both have dreams, both have obstacles.. her is her size, his is money. Both are attracted to each other and when they finally get together, he wants to teach her to enjoy some of the kink that the club offers, since she tends to be more 'vanilla.' He doesn't make her do anything she doesn't want to do, but he does try to push her limits. There are some evil villains who do what they can to make the two's live's miserable. There are some 'Awwwwww' moments. Clint can be a charmer. While Anya is more naive and has some self-esteem issues (though she is happy with her body,) Clint is confident, not cocky, but knows what he wants and goes for it. And he wants Anya. Of course there is plenty of sexual content (intended for mature readers.) It reads easily. It alternates between POVs. The characters are unique and fun to watch.
I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.
Anya had been working for Colleen at the club as an instructor in a couple of classes. Clint was a Dom at the club and taught pole dancing class among other classes.
Anya would watch Clint in the morning exercising in the pool and would fantasize about him. Anya always had problems with her weight and being a model would be for big beautiful women clothing. Anya never thought she would ever be with Clint because most of the women around the club were thin. Clint had other plans he liked the way Anya looked and finally approached her.
Clint was also a stripper because he could make more money to help with his dream. Anya knew all those things but it didn't really bother her so much since she knew about the pole dancing class. Anya had a nemesis named Rita. Rita had become her ex flames mistress after he dumped Anya because he had an arranged marriage back in Italy.
RIta tries to make problems for her and Clint. Her Ex tries to pay Clint off to not to see her Anya again he would give him money for his bar. Rita in the meantime stole from the club DVD and some other things including Clint's camera. Rita threatens Anya with putting up the videos of her and Clint together if she goes near Caesar again. Anya had already told Caesar to shove it and that she knew he tried to buy Clint off
HOT follow-up to HEAT by Ms. Schmidt and WOW…just WOW! I just finished this fantastic book and I can’t stop smiling. I love an HEA where the irritating people get their comeuppance and the good people get the life they deserve. Several HOT scenes, well it takes place in Club Inferno. What would you expect? Hilarious banter among characters too. So good… Anya is a plus-size model who is staying at Couture, the vanilla side of Club Inferno and working with its owner to start a line of clothing. Besides that Anya teaches Accessorizing on the vanilla side and sexy talk on the Inferno side. Because she has a thing for one of the Doms, she stakes out a place at the indoor pool every morning so she can watch Clint swim. She’s too shy to approach him. Clint has aspirations to own his own bar one day and to that end he works three jobs: a Dom and pole-dancing teacher at Club Inferno, a bartending job elsewhere and as a stripper somewhere else. He is also attracted to Anya but is hesitant to pursue it. Oh. My. Word. When they finally take the plunge, pool water will not put out these fireworks. There are sensual moments, angsty moments and fist-pump moments. I LOVED THIS BOOK and it comes highly recommended if you like saucy with your love story and plus-women coming out on top;-) I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout.
I've not read anything else from this author or in this series, so whew, this was a whirlwind of characters! Apart from our main characters, you get relationship updates, full histories, and entire side quests that involve just about every human being Clint and Anya seem to know. I was confused and lost, and apparently so was the author, since Anya even at one point is called "Mallory," an entirely different character in the book.
"Inspiration hit Mallory like an Acme anvil."
This is Anya. Mallory is not in this scene nor have we met her in person at this point in this book.
Honestly, I'm not that much of a fan of books where a ton of time is dedicated to including epilogues and B-character romance and/or spice to update readers of former couples and set up future books, but it's kinda on me for jumping into a book 2. Standalone story but not that much of a standalone read.
The spicy scenes were shockingly short for this series revolving around a sex club - not much detail at all and everyone finishes super fast.
The author doesn't seem to know much about BDSM based on lots of things that come up in this story, including a glaring lack of consent at one point. Also, for this book having a plus size heroine, this book is remarkably un-body positive, as Anya repeatedly reflects on and complains about her body and her lack of confidence.
Longing is book 2 of the Club Inferno Series by Jamie K. Schmidt. This is a story about control and surrender and the world of Dominants and Submissives. Anya a sexy plus size model who is trying to get over a breakup ends up at Couture with her best friend Colleen and friends from book 1 . Anya is unsure of her body around all of the sexy men at Club Inferno and is trying to lose weight as she is up for an acting job she has always wanted. While at the club, she has no control when she sees sexy Clint a Dom at the club, unaware that he is attracted to her, he decides to break down all of her insecurities to have her. Even though Anya says she isn't a Submissive she decides to give Clint a chance to show her what he has to offer. The tests and trials that Clint puts her though are hot and steamy as he proves to her that he is more than a Dom and Stripper. As soon as he gets her to give control over to him, people from her past try to get in the way and destroy their relationship. Once all the deceptions are revealed, will Anya finally give up control to Clint and have a chance at love at last? This is a must read, have a fan nearby!!!! I voluntairly reviewed an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout.
I loved this couple. They were two people who were very attracted to each other and just seemed to come together so amazingly.
Anya is a plus size woman who is a model and actress. She is up for a new part and she is told she has to lose weight. That part made me hurt for her. She was an amazing person who was told she couldn't achieve her dream based solely on her weight. She owned her body and when Clint took notice, the fun began.
Clint was a wonderful male character. Clint is a dom who isn't overly alpha. He has a presence about him but he was very caring and nurturing. I liked how slow he was with Anya even though she didn't think of herself as kinky. My only concern was I wished he had a conversation with her before their first time.
These two felt real and organic. It wasn't rushed or controlled. You could feel that that lust they both had for each other morphed into love. Not that the hotness factor slowed down, it was just different.
Anya's new romance! by sewsummore Anya was a plus size model with all the hangups associated with her size. Reeling with being dropped my her long time lover she was not ready to risk a relationship with a sexy Dom who was a stripper on the side. No thank you, of cause there was no harm in looking. Clint was a sight to behold, the total package and when he set his sights on Anya it was difficult for her to resist. I loved Anya's character, she exhibited a strength of purpose many woman lack. Her determination to be true to herself amazed me. Clint had been attracted to her for a while and when the opportunity arose he took it with both hands. He was determined to prove to Anya what a special woman she was and did not want to change her, but allowed her to grow within herself. I loved that! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed this book.
"Execution: Book 2, Off Balanced" by Lucia Franco is getting HOTTER and HOTTER. I'm on the edge of my seat, pulling my hair out, losing my voice from screaming, and I don't know if I can wait for book 3 Audible to be released.
A secret is found out. A relationship is uncovered. A lie is unburied. Skeletons are drags out the closet. A heart is shattered. Someone's life will be forever changed by the end of this book, and there are still two more books in this series to go. And, then there's the question, "What does the cliffhanger leaves us with?"
The narrator Sarah Puckett deserves an award for her visual storytelling for this book. Her talents surpasses so many just from this one book alone; and she narrated book one also.
I recommend this book, and book 1 Audibles. I'm just biting nails until 3 and 4 Audibles are released. Five-stars, 5-stars, 5-🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for Lucia and Sarah.
Anya and Clint make a unique couple. Their attraction is mutual but their sexual preferences are at opposite ends of the spectrum. This is a beautiful story on the determination and respect that Anya and Clint have for each other. The relationship is refreshing. The care and respect Clint shows Anya and her insecurities is so sweet it makes your heart ache. In turn, Anya's protectiveness and sheer appreciation of Clint as a man and not a stripper is impressive. And, on top of that, the fact that they both are completely honest with each other and manage to overcome some very difficult situations in their budding romance is downright awe inspiring. This is a good story with an interesting characters that know what they want and are determined to get it.

ONE EXPLOSIVE DELIGHT!!! Man, oh man! Talk about hot, hard and spicy. Jamie brought it with this explosive, high octane sizzle that ramps this bad boy up a few levels catapulting it to staggering heights. This bad boy brings all the heat, steam and a raging inferno with off the charts chemistry that will leave you breathless and craving more. One sizzling storyline and blazing plot spin this baby bursting to life brilliantly. Twists and turns abound with all the trials and tribulations these guys go through that seem endless. The characters are authentic, approachable and realistic with such depth and individuality its easy to relate. The scenes are written with such realism you have no problem picturing each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Amazing job Jamie, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Another read hot read set in the world of club inferno
Anya is a plus size model she is currently working with Colleen the owner of the hotel Couture to design a line of plus size clothes She is also giving talks in the more racy side of the business Club Inferno meanwhile she has the hots for one of the club Doms but is too shy to speak to him so instead she lurks every morning while e has his swim. Clint wants to open his own bar so he is working any job he can get his hands on to raise the money he not only is a club Dom but he teaches pole dancing classes as well as working as a stripper and bar tender elsewhere. He is also watching Anya but she doesn't realise When these two finally connect expect some sexual tension to be released but not all are happy about them connecting Will they stay together or will others break them a part You will have to read to see
I really, really liked this book. I wasn't quite sure how much at first, but as I kept reading, I realized how much I really did like it on so many levels. It was sexy and hot with bodacious and curvaceous girls like Anya. Anya, who was sometimes self-conscious, owned and loved her curvy body but there are always people who are happy to make others feel bad about themselves. Anya was confident and strong and wouldn't take anybody's crap or their bullying. Clint was a Dom who was waiting for his chance to get to know Anya better. He wanted to push her boundaries a bit but would do whatever it took to make her comfortable. Both Anya and Clint has their insecurities and second-guessing about each other and themselves but thought that each other was worth it.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Anya and Clint were wonderful characters in this humorous and steamy book with a bit of suspense and intrigue and a few villains. She's a plus size model and he's a stripper (among other things) trying to fashion out a dream for his future. The action is fast paced. The scenes between them are romantic and sweet yet steamy and hot. The two together created one of the best love stories I've ever read. The story was fictional but the relationship felt real. The doubts she had were thoughts most women have when in a relationship. The author wrote their love story beautifully. It wasn't perfect but it felt real. I loved the little comments from the mother at the end as well as the response she received. I finished this book with a smile on my face and some very light hearted laughs. The perfect topping to a great story. Recommend
Anya Litton works at Couture with her best friend, and the owner of the resort, Colleen. She also has a crush on one of the Doms that works for Club Inferno. Clint Reyes is just one of Club Inferno's doms, he teaches a pole dancing class, and sometimes helps out with the self defense classes, and he also wants to get closer to the beautiful model that works with his boss, Anya.
Anya doesn't think she has a submissive bone in her body, and Clint is determined to prove to her that she is the only woman he wants in his life. Sexy, and sometimes funny characters. An ex-fiance and a jealous rival will provide interesting twists to this well written, and romantic BDSM, happily ever after romance. Fantastic book, I loved it!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
