Free Me From You
You may remember the names June and Free from the series Insane 4 U. They were briefly mentioned, and with their quick introduction, we could all take a wild guess and realize that the two of them had the ability to put the T in toxic. June is Insane’s big brother, and now it’s his turn to have his own story.
June and Free have had this situationship going on for a few years now, and while some may admire their relationship, others will agree that it’s toxic and draining. They could be good for each other, but for some reason, they just can’t get it right. Free’s a good woman who deserves to be treated fairly by a good man, so what June won’t do, another man will.
Next, there’s Fanatic Brown. Fanatic is June’s best friend/ brother, and he’s just come home from serving a ten-year prison bid. Now that Fanatic is home, he and June have a plan to shake things up in the streets and run the biggest drug operation that’s ever come out of Miami. The two of them share a beautiful friendship, but Fanatic is hiding something from June that if it were to come out, it might not be forgivable.
Part one of this three part series starts off with straight drama. This series will take you on the up and down rollercoaster between Free and June, as they struggle to somehow get it right.

We were first introduced to June and Free in the “Insane 4 U” series. If you haven’t read that series I highly suggest that you do but just know that fooling around with Diamond, you will need to read the 25 books before that as well because sis is the reigning spin off queen!
As Insane’s big brother, June was an 🍑hole! I honestly didn’t care for him at all in previous books but when we got a glimpse into the relationship between him and Free, I definitely wanted to know more about their toxic love story and whew is it toxic indeed!!
I’m glad Diamond didn’t overload us with POVs in this series (so far). We have Free and June as well as Deshay (June and Insane’s sister) and Fanatic (June’s best friend) who has recently been released from prison.
Diamond takes us on a ride with this crew and while most of the story is predictable because Diamond has a signature style of storytelling and tends to recycle certain things I did still enjoy the beginning of their journey.
I’m anxious to see how things will play out for Tru more than anything! Diamond set the tone for drama drama drama and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has to offer. 3.5⭐️’s

Jesus 👀
This is exactly why I wanted to wait for all three books to drop but I can’t do Diamond like that 😂 but babyyyyy this cliffhanger got me going crazy because wth, everybody jumped off the deep end got my chest thumping with anticipation on this ending and for part 2 and 3. This was a 4.5. I was happy to see Insane and Carmen finally got a bundle baking ☺️ they are so cute and about to be great parents.
Now this ending I’m still stuck on 👀 because whewwwww Jesus I hope Free niece can be saved idk why she would do that I’d rather her be scamming or something other than that because that takes your soul ‼️not only that I get that she don’t have the best relationship with her mom and with certain other family members but she still has a support system to help her; she could have all gotten a 9-5 but we already know how this goes especially in that mindset sad to say 🥴.
Now on to Shay and fanatic they should have did better if y’all wanna be together be grown people like y’all are and that you claim to be and let that man know what’s up, even if he don’t approve so what at least it wasn’t in the dark and looking shady now u allowed it be worse than it needed to be so I blame them but they cute together let’s see how this goes in part 2-3.

Didn't finish
I've read the first 150 pages & there's still no storyline. Still no plot. Just lots of rambling to fill pages with unnecessary background info. It's frustrating because the characters are interesting. Where's the crazy toxic couple that I read about in the synopsis? Where's the action & drama? I made it past the 50% mark before deciding I've wasted enough time here 🤷🏽♀️

I'm sorry, but this is a horrible book. It's too much nothing going on, and I am definitely not the demographic for confused women who want men and women. There's no plot, climax, or anything. it's like she just put this together and published it. If I hadn't read Southern Belle (1&2) I would think this author was bad at writing. It's a solid no for me. I am not sure about all of these 5 stars, maybe I want more from books.

Okay okay I guess my mind is kinda trapped in Southern Belle land but this story just didn’t hit as hard for me. While it’s very interesting, drama filled and fun I can’t say this was the most enjoyable reading experience. I don’t feel like either characters activities and shenanigans is justifiable. Like okay you got some hoe in you and wanna keep ya options open but yall keep doing this back and forth dance. I can’t relate to being in a toxic love affair nor do I understand why folks be shackled to men who don’t care enough about them to keep it in the pants. I get free’s whole Freudian love for that man cus who her daddy is with his hoeing self but still like girl stand up. I feel like this story is too layered for it to be a single book with the focus on what’s supposed to be 4 people based on who we hear from in the chapters. Like I know it’s a series but I feel like we didn’t need those other side stories because June/Free Dashay/Fan were enough and too much for this single book alone in addition to all the other mess.Like chile Tommie need her own book along with her kids. Colby just need to get beat up and that’s that. As far as Dashay I’m glad she’s redeeming herself but in the same breath June doin too much, I get why though cus sister proved she was a bird who need intense supervision but the lady is 4 kids in SHES AN ADULT. The major theme I see here is that they don’t just keep it 100 like everyone here a real n* and b*tch yet yall sneaking and freaking but couldn’t sit down and just tell your BFF what’s going on? Overall everyone lacks boundaries clear communication and guidance. Like Tommie girl she need to get dropped on her neck. Miss free need to understand what’s within her control and what to concern herself with but she taking on more drama and responsibilities than she needs and it’s biting her HARD. I’m not sure if I’ll read the next parts but this author is very talented and I enjoy most of her work but this one just felt like a lot of o moving parts and unecessary drama

Disappointed
I didn’t expect another glorified drug dealing storyline. I probably would not have purchased it. I really didn’t care about any of the characters. This book feels like it doesn't have a clear point and she couldn’t decide if she was writing for adults or teenagers. There are no goal relationships to root for. Fan and Shay are just friends with benefits. There's no real love story there. He only comes over at night for sex. Free goes really hard for June even though he doesn't deserve it and that was probably the only realistic part when you deal with a man that has a reputation for cheating. But, it just made her look weak and not know her self-worth. This story should have ended after the first book. I skipped through the boring parts of the book. I agree with the other reader who said the scenes with Tru on the streets with pimps, high and selling her body, were too much. It did seem like she was escaping from an abusive home. One minute she's getting an expensive dress as a reward for her bad behavior at school, and the next she's high and selling herself on the streets. I didn’t like the Insane and Carmen series, and this is an extension of that. I will pass on book 2 and 3.

Whew, chileeeeee!! Shay-Shay says she's grown, so don't play with her. I just wished June didn't find out the way he did that Shay and Fanatic was messing around with each other. Poor Free, not only do she have to deal with maybe her cousin being the one to shoot at them, but now she has to figure out how to deal with Tru situation. If her momma Tommie was their for her like she was supposed to be, I don't think this would be happening. What the hell is June going to do if Free finds out that Asia is pregnant, Free is really going to be free from him. Part 2 here I come.

This book is straight fire from start to finish. June really needs to get his act together regarding Free, though. Free deserve June to love her carefully & faithfully. Who do you think shot a June, though? Colby or Pooch? Do you think Free pregnant again (or is it really just stress)?
I'm here for Dashay & Fanactic as well. They match to me, but BM Monique have some weird vibes with her. I wonder if she's behind Fanatic going to prison? Women do some messed up stuff when they can't get what they want without even being attached to you. Fanatic really should've man up & have that conversation with June though before it came to this.

A day in the life of a toxic hood couple
There isn’t a plot. They wake up, go to work, hang out with friends fuxk/fuss repeat. Every time I thought something was happening it didn’t. In a story of a toxic couple, there is an epiphany moment, or breaking moment where the toxicity is acknowledged and either they break or fix it. Neither happens. The book is wordy, long and drawn out. There is no real conflict to be resolve or character growth. The way the start out in the beginning is essentially who the characters are in the end
Positives about the book: the story is well written, and the editing is good. There are a lot of tangents but there aren’t a million distracting typos or errors. The book does a good job of establishing all of the characters personalities and their connections to one another.
I am going to read book two cause I’m hoping there is a purpose to it all. I’m going to just look at book one as the world building intro.

Monique is trying to put it on Fanatic, but he keeps shooting her down. She's going to try to get him back by call the police. That's not going to work, he's going to have to take her out then Fenix is going to be without a mama. Insane and Carmen is going to have a baby. Free already lost Tru and her mama is to blame. June is trying to be a better man for Free he already says he loves her. And Free loves him too

Well worth the wait!!!
Diamond, this was bomb. God I hope they figure shit out the Tru hot ass! Free and June are sooo toxic and I feel like it’s only gonna get worse in the next part. June and Fan needed this one bc June felt betrayed(as he should) but Fan should’ve just told him straight up instead of sneaking around. I think he would have taken it better. I hope they get there shit together bc they just started a new empire and have no town to be breeding with each other. I also think Colby’s hot headed ass is who shot at June. Whew can’t wait to see how everything plays out! 10/10 AGAINNN !!

Wow! Just wow! This was such an Awesome read. I loved everything about Free and June story. The toxicity, the lil pop up of Insane and Carmen, Fanatic & Shay, the sisters, the nieces—Lord the nieces!, the cousins..all the things were givin’ and I love it! I can’t wait for part 2 so Free and June can get it together! This story made me realize how much I miss Insane and Carmen and the mention of Daddy Tana’s made me miss that crew too! Um well this one just did not do it for me. I am usually a fan of her work and have read almost all of her work. I had to go back to check when this one was written because it did not match up with some of her newer stuff that I’ve recently read. This one was very very wordy and overly descriptive. It wasn’t too confusing but there were so many characters. The only story that even seemed interesting was Fanatic. Tru’s story just felt like an unnecessary add-in. Overall, this one just wasn’t interesting and I forced myself to finish. Now these are my opinions and preferences so I gave it 3 stars bc it wasn’t bad just not my cup of tea.

Page Turner
I couldn’t put this book down. Man, there’s so much going on. I’m really hurt about Free’s niece Tru. I hope they can save her. I think Fanatic was wrong for not talking to June about his relationship with his sister. He could have had a man to man conversation to talk about it.

Free, because June constantly cheats, also sees other men, occasionally, and women. Let's hope that they are on the road to get it together in book two!

Free and June really put the “T” in toxic. They both give tit for tat and June just cannot help himself and it’s in his DNA to cheat! They not committed to each other so they both do them. Something drastic will need to happen for the both of them to get it together!

If I am being honest, I can't say this story held me like the usual Diamond books. It has taken a while to grab me , I think most of the book was describing thing rather than getting into the story.. I will.say it looks like book two will be a bit more exciting considering the ending.

I’m Here For The Messsss!
Diamond knows she can write a book and leave us wanting more lol. June gets on my nerves, but I’m rooting for him and Free. Fanatic and Shay sneaking and freaking lol. Tru is down bad and I’m tore up about it. Patiently waiting for book 2. Please do yourself a favor and read this book.

Omg your books always hit never a miss. Since I'm a Miami girl I be look in. I know June was going to find out but damn I hope they don't fall out because of it.
