I have everything I've been searching for now, but the tensions are high and the future is grim.
My friends seem different. We all do, really. But they're hiding something from me and I just want to know what it is.
Meeting the fourth shifter was eye-opening. I never expected to feel the way I did towards them, toward him. He changed the dynamic between me and my friends, and he's the only one who seems willing to talk.
Will boundaries be crossed? Will friendships be tested? Will I ever find my mother?
- Found Family - RH - Touch her &... -Childhood best friends
This book takes off where the first one ends. What an emotional ride for such a short little book. I love that this author’s books may be short but they’re not lacking in character depth, emotion and plot. I can’t wait for the next one and see more of those fuzzy little friends. This left me reeling with unanswered question. I still have decided on my favorite although I’m learning towards a certain quiet character with claws.
I really didn’t know what to expect when I started this series but I can say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I have enjoyed it. Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back is the second book in the Stuffed series. This is not a series you can jump in on the second book because you will be lost. But the good thing is that these books are both fairly quick reads. This book was just over 100 pages and it flows really well. It took me almost no time to finish it.
The first book in the series sets up this book. In Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back, we get to see grown-up Dalyce interacting with her “friends” that she has finally reunited with. The first book ended with her friends protecting her and this book gives us a deeper look at the relationship between the five of them. We learn more about where they come from and we get to see a whole different Dalyce. We get to see a stronger Dalyce. An adult Dalyce. One who has struggled and felt pain but grown from the trauma.
The biggest difference between this book and the first is the spice. Towards the end, there is a good amount of spice and the spice is good. There is some MF, some MF, some MFF. By the end of the book you are hooked and waiting for the story to finish. I really enjoyed this book. It was quick, fun, and spicy. If you want an easy story to read that has some angst, some spice, and some shifting stuffed animal friends, this is definitely the book for you.
Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back is the second part in the Stuffed Series. You definitely need to read Part One before reading the Second Part. When Your Toys Play Back begins immediately where Not Your Mama's Toy Story left off, almost as if you took a larger book and picked a spot to cut it in half to make two Novellas. This is a quick read, with a mild amount of spice. I loved Part One of this series and have impatiently been waiting to see what happens next in Part Two. I enjoyed Part Two, just maybe not as much as I did the first novella in this series. I appreciated the smoothness of the timeline in this portion of the book, there isn't a big time jump like in the first book. I liked that the character's personalities have blossomed and come out to play. I enjoyed the growth in the relationship amongst the main characters. I wished we had gotten more plot development in this installment. More details in certain scenes would have quenched most of the burning questions I was left with. Overall I found this to be a quick and fun read, and I am excited for the third installment of this series. I would recommend this book to readers that have read the first book in the series. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a fun, quick and quirky why choose romance.
This story just keeps getting better. Part two doesn't have a time jump in it at all. They all finally are reconnecting now that they are older.
The love, lust, protection, caring, all the emotions can be felt while reading this.
There is a small cliffhanger, but, it isn't one that will make you want to go insane while waiting. It's one of those that you will not forget to read the next one.
I am in love with each of there connections to each other. I was surprised that all the stuffed animals are connected.
I think my favorite is either Oto (the cat) or Ovi (the sheep). I haven't fully made my mind up but I know it will be a hard choice between these two.
Also, please be aware of the TWs. There is also FF in here. Plus FMF.
I cannot wait to read part three. I really hope this story continues because not only do I want to see where the relationship of all 5 of them go but I want to know more about Dalyce's mom and all the new details that you will learn when you read this.
I will not give away anymore spoilers than I already have. Run and pre-order this because you will want to read it immediately.

This is the second story in the series. Both the first part and this one are quick reads- 100% binge-able🥰
Definitely recommend you read them in order so the second makes sense.
Things I really enjoyed: - insta-attraction - deepening of friendships (friends to lovers) - love that the main character doesnt have to choose between her love interests - the slow unraveling and revealing of the emotional and mental struggles the characters have endured over the last 8 years - her stuffies🙌🌶️❤️😘 the cutest, sweetest, most protective, gorgeous, sexiest, funny, bffs a girl could ask for
Things that were a little quirky: - there are a few times where I felt like a scene or two were a little choppy - i am right there with the main character regarding the confusion on where her mom is and what happened to her- i think that feeling is deliberate by the author😜
It is a dark story and there are trigger warnings- 👏👏READ THEM👏👏
Super excited to read the next installment in the story❤️
Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back was a good quick read one that I thoroughly enjoyed! What you get in this short story and hopefully you love it as much as I do. ♡Found Family ♡Grief ♡MF ♡Memories of abuse ♡Bisexual ♡FFM ♡FMF ♡RH ♡Spicy Scenes ♡Touch Her and ☠️ ♡Childhood Best Friends
Well I must say I’m addicted and I definitely want to read more stories like this. I won’t lie, I've never read about Demon toy shifters before I started this series, but once I dove in I thoroughly enjoyed it. In this story we get a plot with lots of spice which I am totally here for. You can feel the love, the lust, the connection, even the protection, and caring they all have for each other. I love that they all have their own personalities. I totally can't wait for more because I am totally addicted and I hope you will be as well.
Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back is part 2 of Nattie Rhodes's novella series. After the last book ended on a cliffhanger, I quickly grabbed this one.
The first book basically sets up the story, and the second is where you start to get some meaty goodness. Dalyce is now eight years older, going away to school, and being reunited with her fuzzy companions. Here, we get to witness a more in-depth connection with each stuffy, and things start to heat up.
The storyline continues, and things start to become a little spicy—my fave! We discover that the stuffies know more than they have let on about her missing mom, and Dalyce is hell-bent on finding out more. I mussssst know more! Give me more! Another dang cliffhanger!
Thank you to Nattie Rhodes for gifting me an eARC of Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Part one is great but part two gets even better!! I wrote this review as parts one and two combined. If you’re curious about it, go ahead and read it! They are on the shorter side so I read through them quickly. I loved everything about this book and will definitely recommend it! It’s an emotional book with some interesting characters, some triggers, and a lot of spice! The only thing I didn’t like was not knowing how to pronounce the main character’s name. Otherwise, I’m eager to read more and hope this story continues! Small spoilers here!! Our main character finds herself with 4 unique stuffed animals to comfort her after losing her mom. They’re separated from her and years later as adults are rejoined, leading Dalyce to fully embrace them into her life.

Stuffed Part 2 When Your Toys Play Back by Nattie Rhodes is a paranormal romance story. This is a reverse harem novella and definitely is more adult then the first one. The author has gotten a lot of story into this novella. It is full of emotion and delves into things that happened in the past.
Dalyce has dealt with a lot of trauma in her life and it shows. In this novella she finally meets up with her friends again but things are not the same because she is older now. We also get a glimpse into the history of where the “stuffed” protectors come from. The chemistry and emotions in this book are a good combination.
I really enjoyed this quick novella and can not wait for the next installment!
MAKE SURE U READ NOVELLA 1 BEFORE U READ THIS NOVELLA PLUS READ THE TWS BEFORE U START
This novella starts where the 1st one left off, and Dalyce just found out what the cat looks like, and she is likin what she sees. The wolf is a female named Lu, and the rest are males. The bear's name is Arc, the lamb's name is Ovi, and the cat. Del is still searching for her mom, and they still won't tell her, and she feels defeated. As they toys and Dal grow closer, they are experiencing new adult things 2gether. This is a good book, and it's an RH. I can't wait to read the next novella to this series.
Things begin heating up in this installment and we meet the other 2 shifters.
We get a lot more backstory and we see Dalyce embrace her healing journey's beginning. As she struggles with processing crappy dormmates, a seemingly random attack, and having her best friends back, we see her really start to work through the traumas. While her methods aren't always healthy, she is fully taking control of her life.
This installment also presents new mysteries I cannot wait to see revealed.
Stuffed: When Your Toys Play Back was a good quick read. What you get..... ♡Found Family ♡Grief ♡MF ♡Memories of abuse ♡Bisexual ♡FFM ♡FMF ♡RH ♡Spicy Scenes ♡Touch Her and ☠️ ♡Childhood Best Friends
I've never read about Demon toy shifters before this series, but I enjoy it. We get a plot with lots of spice. You can feel the love, lust, connection, protection, and caring they all have for each other. I love that they all have their own personalities. I can't wait for more!!
Love that part two starts off right where part one left off. The personality of each Demon/toy matches their animal and I love it. I love how they are so different and yet the Dal loves all of them and they all love her. I'm really hoping there is a part three, because I need her to find her mom and find out why she's in "jail".

This book takes off where the first one ends. Our favourite killer teddy bears are back for part two. Even for a short book it takes you on an emotional journey of love, caring, protection, anger, sadness, lust as so much more. Oh the spice in this book it’s other worldly
Sadly no one was harmed in this book but of course it ends in a cliffhanger
The 2nd book was just as good as the first and picked up where the first one ended. I hope there will be a 3rd one. This one is on more of a healing and renewing her life. Her friends decide they want a different type of relationship with her and the cat is the first one to really take it to the next level. What will happen for them next? What type of relationship will they have?
Book two is amazing. This story picks up right after the first book ended. Now all the stuffies shifted. Some questions are answered. But the best part is just getting started..... it's smutty time 🥵🔥. Now we are left with wanting more Hotness. The true adventure is about to begin with this cliffhanger.
Book 2 hit the spot far more than Book 1. Oto is by far my favourite character - he oozes morally grey with a touch of charming. I was a little unsure if this would be a series for me after Book 1, but this definitely brought it back! So much intrigue is left and so much more spice too I hope! Can't wait to see what happens in Book 3!
Dalyce and company are in her dorm room. Everything is so confusing to her right now. All she wants is her mom back. Her aunt calls with news of her father. She is glad he is gone. Once she deals with erasing bad memories from her childhood, they embark back to her dorm room. She has many thoughts and questions shuffling through her mind.
When the cat takes her away from the rest, they talk and now the cat has come out to play in a very adult way. Once they come back to the room, Ovi and Lu take their turns. Avi’s turn will come at some point. Seeing the ghost of her mother, learning where she is, still leaves burning questions to answer.
She learns more about the four tasked with protecting her from others. They will become one unit not to be separated. Her roommate walks in on her tutoring lesson and threatens to have her expelled. So, she fakes a mood, calls her aunt, and her aunt will help her take care of things to this point. What happens next is anyone’s guess!
It was fun to see them all grow and develop into adults, and definitely enjoyed watching them explore their relationships and each other. Short and fun.
This is the second book in the series. The FMC is a young adult now, off to College, but she never forgot or gave up on her toys. After reuniting, life becomes so much spicier, as not only has she grown up, they have too!. Open door spice!
