Pawsitively Sabotaged is a short story that takes place between Pawsitively Poisonous and Pawsitively Cursed in the completed Witch of Edgehill series.
Uncover a vandal’s identity, save a wedding, and keep her witchy gifts a secret? Piece of cake.Amber Blackwood is still reeling from the loss of her friend Melanie Cole. As the town’s resident odd duck, Amber doesn’t have many close ties in Edgehill. So when a vandal threatens the safety and livelihood of Betty Harris, the owner of Purrfectly Scrumptious, Amber wants to help.
The vandal smashed cupcakes Betty had stored for an upcoming hoity-toity wedding for a Bridezilla who is driving everyone in town batty. Things only get worse when a cupcake causes the Bridezilla to go into anaphylactic shock.
Worried about her friend’s reputation and livelihood, Amber searches for the perpetrator. Is someone targeting Betty and her shop, or trying to hurt the bride-to-be? All Amber knows is that she must stop the saboteur before Betty loses much more than her beloved cupcake shop.

Amber's neighbor Betty, who owns the town bakery, has just gotten the job of baking for a prestigious wedding. Then someone breaks into her bakery and ruins her supplies. Can they catch the vandal? Will the wedding go on as planned? Will anyone ever trust the quality of Betty's baked goods again? I've read all of the books in the series, and this novella nicely fills in between the first and second novels.
This is a Witchy Cozy Mystery Novella, and this is the 1.5 book in the Witch of Edgehill series. I have read the other books in this series before picking up this book. I really enjoyed reading this book. I love the characters in this book, and the short town that is in this book sounds so sweet and cute. I found the mystery in this book to be really good. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
I absolutely loved this novella, I didn't need to have read the series to be enjoy Pawsitively Sabotaged. I have been wanting to read this series for quite some time but this clean, easy to read, no murder cosy mystery made me want to read them all even more. All of the characters are fabulous, easy to bring to life. Edgehill is one place I would love to visit.

This short story between Books 1 and 2 of the Witch of Edgehill series is a satisfying foray into the world of magic, cats, and cupcake drama. A lot happens at the bakery across from Amber's toy shop and it was a joy to get to know Betty, the baker, a bit better. With characteristic humor and excellent pacing, this is a perfect way visit to Edgehill.
When her friend's cupcakes are sabotaged, our heroine is on the case. There is more than potential murder involved. There are sweets in danger!
This is short story placed between books one and two of the series. The story is written as a standalone and works just fine on its own.
The story is well written and easy to read, with an intriguing mystery to solve. The setting and characters are well developed and provide excellent drivers for the story. The interactions between the characters edged with little bits of humor are the highlight of the story for me. Overall, a very entertaining read and I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended,.

Before reading this novella, I read and enjoyed book 1. Amber Blackwood owns a curiosity shop called Quirky Whiskers in Edgehill, Oregon. She recently solved the murder of her friend Melanie Cole. Amber is leery of forming many close friendships for fear of accidentally revealing her secret of being a witch. Her friend Betty Harris owns Purfectly Scrumptious nearby and is getting cupcakes ready for the big Darby Graham/ Nigel Holt wedding. When bride-to-be Darby goes into anaphylactic shock after taste testing a batch of Betty's cupcakes, Amber knows she has to help find out what happened. This is a one sitting read with fun characters that continues from where book 1 left off. I look forward to reading book 2.
Amber, the main character, was very appealing to me. Her magic and setting in which she practices it are pretty unique for a cozy mystery. She is not interfering in police investigations. She is not navigating a maybe romance with one of the law enforcement officers. All positives for me. Amber is helping a friend whose business may be destroyed after someone breaks in and sabotages the friend's cupcakes. It results in a bride-to-be coming close to dying. I was very satisfied with the path to the resolution and the resolution itself. This was a quick, really enjoyable story!
This was a cute, fun story with witches and cats and a bakery (though the main character doesn’t own the bakery, her oddity shop is across the street). I really enjoyed the characters, especially the relationship between Amber (shop owner) and Betty (bakery owner). In this short novella, Betty has been hired to bake the cakes for a posh wedding. But someone sabotages her cupcakes and nearly kills the bride-to-be. Amber wants to help her friend and does some sleuthing, but it is a second break-in at the bakery that solves the mystery for her. I can see I’m going to need to read more in this series as it was fun, interesting, and had a satisfying ending.
Bridezilla, attempted murder by cupcake and a little witchcraft thrown in.
Great storytelling with a well thought out plot. The main characters are very likable. A wealthy couple decide to get married in Edgehill because of the community's zealous love of all things feline. The bride to be had visited there sometime in the past. The bride has a bake off to see which of the two cupcake makers gets the job. Neither baker knows they are participating in this bake off. Each thought they had the job and the bride was trying to choose a flavor. It gets crazy after this and you'll have to read it to find out what happens. 😀
Pawsitively Sabotaged is book #1.5 in the Witch of Edgehill series by Melissa Erin Jackson.
This takes place soon after Pawsitively Poisonous where Amber’s friend was murdered. It was a nice touch of realism to see that Amber was still affected by Melanie’s death. Now someone is threatening her friend Betty’s reputation and business. This was an entertaining story and I look forward to the next book.

Amber is a witch in a small town getting ready to host a huge wedding. When the baker across the street has a break in, Amber worries for her friend. An allergic reaction from the bride has the baker worried about town gossip and the bride's health. Amber decides to use a little magic to get to the bottom of the mystery. And when she does, she's surprised!
A cute story with fun characters! Very much enjoyed!
Amber, the bridezilla is pitting Betty Harris and another bakery owner against each other rather than allowing them to work together using their strengths. Betty’s cakes are delicious and the other owner’s decorating skills are impeccable. Amber also gives them short suspenses on all her requests.
Someone taints a cupcake and Amber has a severe reaction. The prime suspect is Betty. The book was well narrated and despite my dislike for Amber, I enjoyed the story.
Amber Blackwood had another mystery on her hand. Purrfectly Scrumptious, the bakery across the street, was vandalized, and her friend is accused of causing a food allergy reaction.
Melissa tells a compelling story and keeps you guessing. Excellent writing style.

A very nice novella! Our protagonist helps solve the mystery of sabotaged cupcakes for a wedding. This one doesn't involve as much magic as the first book in the series though (and fewer cat puns, which I don't mind). I would have wanted to know more on Betty and Kathy at the end, maybe a bit more of the wedding. Still a good one! I basically just wanted it to be longer, hehe.
I really enjoyed reaa😙ding this dirty mystery. She portrays her characters so vividly that I feel like iil know them. I thought I had the villian figured out untIl the final few pages of the book. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a fast paced mystery.
Short, entertaining, easy to read. Interesting characters, I liked Amber and Betty most. Storyline fairly good, depicting how people can be neighbourly, looking out for each other, however, there is really not that much magic involved. Cats are included but not involved in the story.
I love every book I've read from this author thus far. I really love when there's no gruesome death to solve. Win win with this story! A great clean short mystery, I really enjoyed it.

This was a fun story, short, but packaged with a fun character. Amber, capture my attention right away, is delightful witch. I can hardly wait to read the next. Highly recommended!
Delightfully quirky cozy. I am really loving this serious! The author, Melissa Jackson creates beautifully written books, tasteful while dealing with difficult aspects of life and a touch of Magic.
It's uncommon to find that the main character is an introvert. I wondered why she had not honed her witch skills more. They o mystery was entertaining and impossible to figure out before the reveal.
I really enjoyed this story. It was fun, exciting, suspenseful and had some good laughs. The characters were fun, quirky and friendly. I would recommend this book. Happy Reading!!!!
It was over before I knew it. The only other complaint I have is that Kathy from Kat's Treats was mentioned more at the end. It would have helped show that Kat and Betty were getting along.
This was such a quick, fun little mystery. I love the characters and the cats. A great, fast read. I love this series too and plan to complete it soon. Also, I love shorter books, instead of the 600-page behemoths.
The bakery across the road from Amber's shop is broken into and machines damaged and product destroyed. Amber wants to protect her friend and so she does her best to uncover the person responsible.
