About the author

Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.

When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.

We go back to Whispering Pines where all our old friends play a part in witch Briar Rhee and dragon shifter Falkor Grashen's love story. Briar has come to town to manage Fia Barlowe's shop, Enchanted Essences for Kids. Her introduction to the town was almost a catastrophe, but she was saved by a mysterious dragon. She is drawn to visit the local orphanage because of her own history and feels a comradery with the children there. But there is something ominous and unnatural about the current winter weather pattern circling Whispering Pines. She is sent off to enlist the help of a man who lives in a secluded cabin in the woods near town. Falkor often helps out the town, but he keeps to himself seldom mingling with the locals.

These two are drawn to each other but Falkor has lived a long time and his childhood taught him to avoid emotional ties and especially to shun Christmas and all its emotions. Briar, on the other hand, embraces all things Christmas and may be just what a grumpy dragon hermit needs to change his whole outlook on the holiday and love. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary. I look forward to more stories about Whispering Pines and its magical inhabitants.

Another simply wonderful addition to the series, great characters and plot
I loved the way in which Briar Rhee has arrived at Whispering Pines and she hopes that this is going to be the perfect place for her to settle her Witchy Wings what she could never of envisioned was to actually run into a dragon and they find they have some things in common.
Falkor Griffin is not a cheerful dragon but when he is in the company of Briar, he feels his inner dragon claiming her as his mate and when he finally listens his happiness actually begins, in this simply wonderful magical town of Whispering Pines.
As the couple battle dark spirits dodging snowstorms and them trying to keep their hands off each other and their lives together begin in earnest and I guarantee without spoiling the plot that you will love every moment of.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I really love the magic of Whispering Pines. The small town has more than its fair share of supernatural mishaps, which have brought together many couples. In this story, a mysterious winter storm rocks the town and seems to feed off the fear it leaves in its wake. Only Falkor, the town’s reclusive dragon shifter, recognizes something far more sinister in the storm’s power.

Briar, the town’s newest witch and lover of all things Christmas, is hilarious in her attempts to bring out the holiday joy in Falkor’s grinchy demeanor. But together the two are something special, and help to bring light in the dark threatening their town.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series and can’t wait until our next trip back to Whispering Pines.

Whispering Pines where magic is in the air.

Loved this Christmas read. Loved Briar and Falkor.

When Briar was on her way to Whispering Pines to start a new chapter in her life little did she know that that faithful night when she almost died and was saved by a mythical creature (dragon) would change her life forever.

Falkor hated the holidays, he hated being around people. He made himself a recluse and kept his heart chained up in ice. Thanks to the way his mother brought he and his sister up. Love meant you were weak, joy made you weak, comradery made you weak.

Falkor's encounter with Briar that miserable icy night changed his life forever. What a great heart warming story. It just made you feel good all over.

Brilliant Series

Sleigh Bells and Dragon Spells (Whispering Pines Book 8) by Milly Taiden. On the way to Whispering Pines in a snow storm Briar is saved from a fatal accident by a dragon. The dragon, Falkirk, is reclusive and rarely interacts with anyone so Briar decides to rectify that and they gradually fall in love. Falkor’s dead mother has become a hateful spirit and tries to kill all love and Christmas spirit with raging ice and snow storms. Roars love melts Falkor’s cold heart and together they destroys the hateful spirit.

I loved this book! Briar and Falkor make a cute couple. Briar is a witch just moving into Whispering Pines and Falkor is a dragon shifter who lives like a hermit just outside of town. This book has drama, love, and evil in it. Friendships come together to battle evil and the love of two stand together stronger against evil. Whispering Pines is a great little town that won’t stand by and do nothing when evil comes to play. I received this free ARC copy for my review.

Christmas is the most magical time of the year even for the beings of magic in Whispering Pines. This is the time of year where love rules and past hurts are left behind.
In this story we get to see the denizens of Whispering Pines gather to fight against hate and evil to save their town and Christmas and if grumpy dragon Falkor Griffin can find it in his heart to love than you will just have to surrender to the happiness that brings.

Welcome back to Whispering Pines! Bree just knew that this was the place she wanted to call home. But she almost didn't make it. A "freak" storm with intervention by a dragon?! But this was not ordinary storm and Falkor, hercdragon savior was no ordinary dragon. And the storm- now that was personal...Fabulous paranormal romance, complete with witches, magic dragons and swoon.....Kudos Milly Taiden!

This is such a great series and this was a fantastic addition to it! Whispering Pines is just full of magic and amazing characters and it’s always a pleasure to return and see what mischief is afoot. The characters were wonderfully conceived. The storyline was enchanting and interesting. I found myself becoming more and more invested in the romance of the main characters. I fell in love with the magical town as well. The happy ending was heartwarming. I will read this one again as it makes me happy. Thanks, Milly, for a great read.

Fun, flirty, and full of Christmas!

Grumpy Falkor and bubbly Briar were a great match! Watching the character growth, seeing returning characters, and seeing a whole new part of the town (okay, one building and it's residents, but still....how did I miss it before?!) was so much fun!

Whispering Pines is a magical town filled with fascinating and entertaining characters. Falkor and Briar are the MCs of this book and they are a very welcome addition to the roster. I loved reading their story and I hope there are many more to come.

Good holiday read
