First time ever read her books. The book cover and the illustrations inside are pretty, but for 180+ pages book, I could only love some of the poems. Perhaps the theme was not really into me.

But I love when she writes

Puisi membuatku terpikat sejak kanak-kanak. Saat itu, beberapa dari sekian banyak yang kubaca adalah karya-karya Tennyson, Emily Dickinson, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Derek Walcott, dan Chairil Anwar. Ketika beranjak remaja hingga masa dewasa, aku mengagumi karya-karya Alejandra Pizarnik dan Rupi Kaur. Dan belakangan, aku terpikat dengan puisi karya Helena Natasha.

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙤𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙮 mengeksplor beragam rasa yang terekam dalam beragam pengalaman dan momen. Kesempatan, kemungkinan, dan pengandaian yang seringkali bertemu dengan harapan, damba, dan hasrat....berujung pada beragam rasa seperti optimisme, rasa syukur, atau getirnya kekecewaan. Semua rasa itu tertumpah dalam buku puisi ini.

Buku kumpulan puisi dalam Bahasa Inggris ini awalnya agak gloomy tapi ke belakang makin garang (??)

Vibes formatnya mirip buku-buku Rupi Kaur, meski tidak se-gloomy itu. Topiknya tentang relationship (possibly romantic, tapi bisa kita "terjemahkan" dalam hal lain, mungkin) dan cocok untuk 15 tahun ke atas. Aku baca dalam kondisi tidak patah hati jadi mungkin kurang relate :')

Aku suka beberapa puisi yang pendek-pendek dan penuh twist. Ada satu puisi yang suasananya mirip dengan lagu Taylor Swift - Today Was A Fairytale. Covernya bagus. Layoutnya buagus. Font-nya buaaaguuus.

Buku yang ditulis untuk kalian yang (maybe gak sengaja, we don't judge) gak sengaja jadi orang ketiga.

Or at least itu kesan yang aku tangkep.

Selama baca buku ini aku terbawa suasana. Sedih, senyum-senyum, teriak, violently close the book dan menghela napas, you name it. A rollercoaster of emotion. The whole book is an experience.

Selesai baca ini langsung lari ke gramedia untuk cari buku lainnya, but alas, kosong dong stocknya. @ Gramedia, kapan re-stock?
