Amberground is locked in darkness. A man-made star casts only a dim light over the land. The pitch-black wilderness is infested with Gaichuu--colossal insects with metal exoskeletons. The Gaichuu make travel between the cities of Amberground extremely dangerous. But thankfully the Letter Bees, a brave corps of messengers, risk their lives in order to keep the hearts of Amberground connected.

Lag now knows what he has to do to save Amberground: unite the five children born on the mysterious Day of the Flicker. And his latest delivery may lead him to vital information. But meanwhile Lag has to cope with his brash new partner, Chico, who insists that nothing will stand in her way to becoming Head Bee!

Only a few more volumes to go and the plot is heading towards its finale. It was strange to find a new character added at this point Chico Neige, whom the volume revolves around but we find she is essential to where the plot is heading. Otherwise, Lag takes her on a couple of mail deliveries and overall this is a great volume with a bit of everything we expect from the series and appearances by all the popular characters.

Pretty okay. Not my favorite. Chico is an odd character to introduce so close to the end.

Noir needs to understand that he doesn't need to have something on his face to have someone stare at it 😏😂
This books are getting more interesting with each volume.

Niche was not much in this one, thankfully. But it was kind of boring.

Tegami Bachi has really kept a strong plot going for these past few volumes and this one is no exceptions. New questions, mysteries and truths about Amberground and the artificial star that lights it are revealed and discussed.

It seems that perhaps the Letter Bee organization might not be as innocent as individual Bee's like Lag think they are.

The plot takes some great twists and turns in this volume and the story is moving ahead at a steady pace. I hope that pace continues on in the next volume because things are really getting interesting now.

Lag finds himself challenged by a new recruit for the Bees, as if catching up on deliveries wasn't hard enough. Amazing plot and wonderful illustrations. The only bad thing is the cliffhanger ending!
