“I don’t give a f*ck about that ring or that ninja you tried replacing me with.” His large hand palmed her azz. “Put your bags in the room, take that cheap azz ring off, and come have your protein shake. You have a spa appointment at nine. Feel me?” Well alrighty then. That’s it. That’s the review.

🥰🥰🥰

Well wasn’t this a breath of fresh air!!! LOVED!!!!! Like there’s no doubting APs ability to give us a slow fast paced intense love story and when we get an actual ending, chefs kiss!!!

Ishmael and Koa have deep history! The love is evident and the chemistry is explosive! The timing however wasn’t right at the time and they made the painful decision to split.

Now she’s in a loveless and sexless 🥴 engagement and with a “man” that had the audacity to tell her to go buy a new door and stay in the home they shared after a break in. Baby they must’ve given free samples of audacity at Costco and he had his fill because huh?!?

This man was so much of a non factor that I can’t even remember his name 😩😩. But anywho Ishmael was playing big boy chess because when his sister suggested his condo as a safe haven after the break in he wasn’t ever coming up off Koa!

We love a man putting action behind his word!! This felt like a FULL love story and I was absolutely smitten with these two!

A cute and short read. Walton was wack and Koa was Ray Charles X Stevie Wonder with the red flags he was throwing. Ishmael was not playing, he was coming full throttle behind Koa. I keep hearing The Second Time Around by Shalamar in my head 🎶🎵🎶.

Old Thing Back!

Queue Jacob Latimore's "Old Thing Back" 🎶🎵She just want that old thing back, yeah 'Cause he don't make her smile for no reason like me. She miss them butterflies in her belly and she can't remember why we not together. She just want that old thing back! 🎶🎵

I enjoyed Koa and Ishmael finding their way back together. These two chose to separate in the hopes of protecting the other from not quite being ready to take things to the next level as well as being scared to go public. However, they both seemed to miss that old thang and fate, also a bum azz fiance, put them back into each other's orbit. These two were FIREWORKS, so dang sexy. I love that this was a complete read and we were able to see how everything ended for this couple in a short amount of time.

Short and Correct ‼️

This is was good from beginning to the end. The couple wasted no more time after they let 6 years Pass with a capital P and left all the baggage behind and focused forward on them and their future. I enjoyed them together and the ending was perfect. Ishmael came correct full throttle for Koa the moment she was back in his orbit. This book is short but very engaging and you’re not gonna wanna put it down but this time it was good letting this couple go because they achieved it all I loved it 😌.

I absolutely loved how she gets down to business in her stories. No fluff just straight standing on business. Another hot and spicy quickie.

Good novella.

A few typos but it was an enjoyable story. First off love the name Ishmael, it’s always been in my top 10 fave boy names.

Anyways Koa was so real like her character was real and it was relatable. I hate that she had a whole in her heart that she tried to cover with another man, so many women do that. But I’m glad they fixed their mistake. They deserved each other and I loved this!

Quick and cute

It was cute and quick. I wish we got more of a wrap up about her ex, like, what happen to Walton? Did Koa find out he had a another family? Did she ever confront him? Since majority of the beginning was about him, i kinda wanted to see him eat crow.

It started off so good then it just went left. Their relationship was going at break neck speed and it wasn’t “syncing” if that made sense. And the timeline just wasn’t sitting right with me. Otherwise it was a okay read.

Let’s Set the Mood Right Quick:

Say the Word: A WAGs mini (WAGS SZN 1)

Drink: Love Bug

Music: You Got It by Vedo

Ishmael: If, “say less,” was a person it would be Ishmael. He was not playing any games about what he wanted and what steps needed to be taken to get it.

Koa: If, “remind me,” was a person it would be Koa. Baby girl just needed to remember who she is and that she IS the table.

This short is not to be missed. Aubree Pynn is really good about making a short story feel like a novella. We don’t know how she does it, but in 60 pages or less she will give you romance, drama, lights, and so much more. Ishmael and Koa had such a cute and pure love. I love when a man steps up and makes his intentions known and gives his woman something to follow. Koa was in a place in her life where Ishmael was exactly what she needed. This story was perfect, and only made us want more WAGs stories. This short is a must read for sure.

”baby i want to worship you and that goes against everything i was taught. i want to die loving you. i want to love you so damn long and so damn hard that the thought of not loving you damn near kills me.”

ishmael is THEEE definition of a man who wants to will. i was reading this cheesing for ear to ear because he treated koa like a goddess. this was beautiful black love 🖤✨.

i would love to read another novella about koa & ishmael. he took koa from walton’s icky behind & showed her everything she was worth and more.

this book was also a tease tho. i wanted more of everything. the 🌶️ was 5/5 as well 🤭. overall i would recommend this book, went above and beyond for the amount of pages & painted a good picture of ishmael & koa’s beautiful love.

Say, Word

This was short and sweet and to the point.
I like how even though I didn't get to "see" the goings on 6 years ago, I could still imagine what took place and how they were able to carry their feelings with them. Also, I LOVE baseball players. So, Ish is definitely Book Bae for me.

💗This novella was unproblematic love/chemistry between two people who were just destined to be together (regardless of them reuniting after 6 years of not communicating).

Thanks to the FMC’s fiancé for dropping the ball 🏀 at being a MAN 🙄- the MMC got to step in and show FMC why he won’t ever let her go again.

S/N: This is one of those novellas that I really wished were a novel instead😩 I would’ve loved to read the ins and outs of the main characters relationship.

Say the word 🫶🏼

"Say the Word" by Aubree Pynn is a captivating romance that grips you from the very first page and holds your attention until the very last. The story revolves around Ishmael and Koa, a couple who, after letting six years pass with a capital P, decide to leave all their past baggage behind and focus on their future together.

The narrative is a beautiful portrayal of second chances and the power of love to heal and rejuvenate. Ishmael, with his full-throttle approach, comes back into Koa's life with a determination that is both endearing and inspiring. His commitment to making things right and building a future with Koa is a highlight of the story.

Despite its brevity, "Say the Word" is incredibly engaging. Pynn's writing style is crisp and immersive, making it hard to put the book down. The chemistry between the protagonists is palpable, and their journey from estranged lovers to a committed couple is both heartwarming and satisfying.

The ending of the book is perfect, providing a sense of closure and fulfillment. Ishmael and Koa achieve it all, and letting them go at the end feels right because their story has come full circle.

Overall, "Say the Word" is a delightful read that delivers a powerful message about love, forgiveness, and the importance of moving forward. Aubree Pynn has crafted a short yet impactful story that romance enthusiasts will undoubtedly enjoy. I loved every moment of it.

This was a short read erotica/ love story. It was cute and straight to the point (50 pages). Koa was a superstar model but basically quit after getting engaged to Walton who was an overbearing control freak and neglect towards Koa. He was always away “on business trips” so after koa house gets broken into and Walton basically tells her to stay at home and just go buy a new door, her bestie sends her to stay at her brothers house while he’s away. Only he comes back early ready to get his old thing back with koa. Immediately things with Walton and koa are done in his eyes and he steps up to the plate. They get married and everything. Would’ve been higher stars if we would’ve saw what happened to Walton after he found out. But still a good book for it to only be 50 pages.

Back where you belong...

It has been years since Koa and Ishmael have been together, but one night where Koa new man is not home to protect her, sends her back with the man who has her heart. Ishmael loved Koa and would do anything and everything for her. Koa knew Ishmael was her forever, but things can happen. Now that Koa is in Ishmael's presence, he refuses to let her go again.
This was a story of second chances of loving the one who holds your heart. Ishmael and Koa were made for each other, and nothing or no one was going to stop them this time around.
Now, can we talk about the sex in this book. I wasn't ready for all of what was happening between them, but all I can say it was hot, very hot. This mini packed a powerful punch!!

This is not book 2 in the wags series rather a short, that will keep you tied over till book two comes. Book 1 is boss up which was amazing and this mini novella will have your attention from start to finish too. Its a second chance romance between Koa a supermodel and Ishmael, her best friend brother and baseball player. They made a mistake 6 years ago to stop fooling around with each other, only to find out that they were never over each other and are soulmates. You will hate Koa's fiance Walton :( so just be warn but you will love the way Ishmael loves on Koa. An amazing short read! I highly recommend for the smut lovers

just okay I guess…..

I get that this was a short but it was just eh, like I’m really supposed to believe this wild chemistry y’all had after 4+ years of not being with one another. And girllll you were so desperate to be loved that you would settle so terribly with Walt? Like huh …….and then to talk of standards, I chuckled - sounded like Koa needed therapy more than she needed to be with a man, she really should have worked on herself in that manner (but that’s a personal preference) I guess I just couldn’t believe this love - which honestly read more lustily than lovely - overall I just wish there was a better tie in, a flashback, something to make me see it for them.

I enjoyed this book. Since I think its the beginning of the series that I am patiently waiting on the next installment its safe to say this author is becoming one of my favorites. I have serval other series on my Kindle and I am torn with staying with her books or going on to read some other people. Anyway, big decisions to make.

This was a short (mini) book but just as enjoyable because it got to the point. Having had a glimpse of the two main characters in the other books I read actually came in handy. I recommend you read if you need a palate cleanser or you want something just quick and to the point. It does not disappoint.

I ran across this book when I was about to start “Come Up” in the WAGS series. Aubree Pynn had it in the list of books that preceded “Come Up”, and since I’d never run across it before, I downloaded it.

I really liked Ishmael and Koa’s story. It’s a second chance, best friend’s brother romance told in third person. This book is only like 50 pages, but it felt longer because it feels so complete. However, I wish it was longer, hell lol. I really liked Ishmael and Koa and their declarations of love were just so damn cute. Ishmael and Koa also get it in a lot so if you’re looking for spice, this has it.

Say the word

This was an amazing novella and was exactly what I needed to get over my last read. Koa and Ishmael were perfect for each other and their love could be felt off the page. Ish definitely made up for their time apart in such a short period of time and gave Koa the love and security she was missing from Walt’s stupid self. He needed his butt whooped for how he handled Koa but karma will always get you in the end. This is a definite must read and I’m looking forward to getting more from the WAGS series.

I loved it. AP always gets me where I need to be on these pages chileeeee. It was fast paced, love packed with a what... Happy ending. Im a sucker for a happy ending. I enioved this novella because some parts were beyond realistic. We get into relationships and dim our lights for our partner to shine. Im happy she realized that a man that makes you dim your light isn't the one for you. I'm so happy that Koa had a best friend that wasn't afraid to step in. Ishmael and say word had me cheesing so hard. I mean who doesn't want a knight in shining armor. WORD baby WORD.
