I really enjoyed this book. I found the premise to be interesting and intriguing. I always know when a book has caught my interest if I find myself thinking about it randomly trying to figure things out it in it. This book is fast paced, has lots of twists and turns while the characters are trying to figure out a political cabal that reaches into the highest places from politicians to justices. Who is Checkmate? What is this conspiracy and how did it manage to acquire such high level people and become so powerful? I'm looking forward to the next book to find out all the secrets that are yet to be revealed. I listened to this book on audiobook. I love the narrator, Jennifer Fournier. I have listened to other things that she has narrated and she brings the characters to life
