Another good volume in the series. A little more comes to light as we find out the headmistress covered up the death of a student, and it looks like the student may be behind the zombie outbreak. Also, while the school had been trying to hide the problem from the students, a zombie attack at a festival makes it a little hard to hide. We find out more about the mysterious hooded girl as the story keeps rolling along.
Still the same sexy females (maybe the males are too? I'm not much of a judge on that aspect but I would think so) as the art is exceptional. I'm also still following the story clearly, as I keep expecting the manga to lose me as most manga does lol.
If you're a Resident Evil fan, pick up this series.

Since these books are so short, I'm not going to be reviewing them in depth that much. So stay tuned for my series review with book 5.
Book 2 continued to be exciting. The majority of the plot in this installment is in an underground area (a control/electronic area) where our group encounters some freshly turned zombies. The action was still intense, gory, and atmospheric. Also a few moments that I found genuinely shocking. And once again, only a few pages of Chris Redfield, which like I said for my review for book 1, didn't upset me. This series definitely survives on it's own and doesn't rely on "Resident Evil" franchise characters to drive it. Definitely still very invested in the series so far and can't wait to get to book 3.

Another enjoyable read in this quick, brutal series. The zombies are still present, the headmistress nun is still crazy, and the mysteries keep on multiplying. Volume 2 starts right where Volume 1 ended and I was able to jump right back in to the story no problem. The story was interesting and I had fun while reading it. If you're looking for a fun, zombie series, give this one a chance.
My problems with this book were only minor. The first aggravation is that, just like the first book, this one doesn't really have an ending. My advice to reading these books would be to have all the volumes available in front of you, so you won't have to take a break from the story or suffer from that feeling of having to know what happens next.
My other gripe would be there was a lot of action in this book and it became kind of confusing following from panel to panel. Each panel illustration was full of detail and sometimes I got kind of confused trying to follow along. But those things were only minor and didn't make me not enjoy the story.
All in all, I thought this was another quick, fun read. The story is getting more and more interesting, so I'm excited to check out the next volume.

Das Cover gefällt mir insgesamt betrachtet wieder sehr gut. Auf schwarzem Grund präsentiert sich hier der Charakter des Ricky, welcher in diesem Band wieder einmal über sich hinauswachsen muss. Hier sehen wir ihn in kampfbereiter Pose, was seine Stimmung in diesem Band auch sehr gut wiederspiegelt.
Eigener Eindruck:
In den Kellern der Marhawa Schule für Mädchen treffen die Sicherheitsleute Tahir und Ray mit Doug, Ricky und Bindi auf weitere Zombies die sich als Arbeiter entpuppen, welche hier Reparaturen durchführen sollten. Zwischen all den Toten finden sie auch einen verletzten Arbeiter, welcher ihnen von einer geheimnisvollen Frau in einem Cape berichtet. Doch ehe die Gruppe weiter darüber nachdenken kann, fällt das Licht aus und Bindi wird entführt. Außerdem verwandelt sich der Verletzte in einen Zombie und greift die Gruppe an und Ray wird getötet, nur um wenig später Doug und Tahir anzugreifen, während Ricky auch wieder gebissen wird und Bindi sich sicher ist, dass sie in der Kanalisation ihre vermisste Freundin Nanan gesehen hat. Als die Gruppe den Geschehnissen im Keller entkommt, sind sie sich sicher, dass die Leiterin der Schule – Schwester Garcia – etwas vor ihnen verheimlicht… Währenddessen bittet der Koch der Organisation BSAA Chris Redfield und seine Truppe nach seiner vermissten Tochter Nanan zu suchen. Doch da läuft schon alles aus dem Ruder…
Auch der zweite Teil der Reihe rund um Ricky und die Zombieapocalypse kann sich sehen lassen. Wie man es aus den Filmen gewohnt ist, fackeln die Macher dieses Mangas nicht lange und es geht schon sehr schnell an das übliche Sterben. So werden die Schüler angegriffen und auch Doug, Ray und Tahir scheinen recht bald mehr oder minder das zeitliche zu segnen. Noch immer ist es mir ein Rätsel, wie Ricky gebissen werden kann und einfach nicht zu einem Zombie wird, aber auch das Geheimnis werden wir bald gelüftet bekommen, da bin ich mir ziemlich sicher. Qualitativ betrachtet bleibt die Geschichte und auch die Zeichnungen auf einem gleichbleibenden Niveau, was ich sehr angenehm finde und nun decken sich langsam die ersten Geheimnisse auf, was ich persönlich wieder recht interessant finde, denn die Ideen die Capcom liefert sind immer wieder frisch und machen einfach Spaß. Trotzdem bleibt hier und da aber eine Frage offen, bei der ich hoffe, dass sie sich vielleicht noch mit den anderen Bänden lösen lässt. Ich für meinen Teil freue mich schon auf den nächsten Band und denke, dass ich mir den wohl auch gleich zu Gemüte führen werde. Diese Reihe macht süchtig.
Fazit:
Eine gelungene Fortsetzung voller Rätsel und Schockmomente. Wirklich lesenswert und deshalb von mir auch gern weiterempfohlen.

Resident Evil is entering its 30th anniversary this year, 2026. What better way to celebrate then to drench myself in the history of the series through the different mediums. Whether it’s admiring the gnarly art of graphic novels, reading the actual novelizations of the vast stories in the universe, playing some of the previous games, even appreciating the CG straight to home videos and reliving the Milla Jovovich questionable movies, I want to live and breathe the BIOHAZARD in. Especially in anticipation of the next chapter: REQUIEM. (UPDATE: I’ve played Requiem and have beaten it twice. Such an amazing game and maybe my game of the year for 2026. I’m still consuming all resident evil stuff. Don’t have that much left. ☺️)
This volume was epic, like my mouth is still agape! The first half was very action paced while the second half gives us a few answers to the mysteries. Each panel containing exhilarating movement. I don’t even know what’s gonna happen next, with three volumes still left.
A real cool aspect with reading this volume after playing Requiem is that there’s ideas in this manga rhymed in the game. Hooded figure, blood sampler collector, a zombie with past life weapon knowledge. It was cool to feel even a slight Déjà vu. I’m really enjoying this ride.
Since it does feel like a penultimate issue, i’m also nervous to see where the story takes us. The B storyline with Chris still a slow burn and since “shit is hitting the fan” this early, I wonder how this will end. These plot reveals are usually in the third act of a resident evil. I wonder if this will fall into the more convoluted entries that go all over the place. Time will tell but at least for now this was great.

Zombie Student Party!
Stuck in the isolated Marhawa Academy, Professor Doug Wright and his nephew Ricky, find themselves trying to understand the recent zombie outbreaks and hopefully stop them before to much damage is done to the academies reputation. With one worker surviving his colleges who he claims turned into zombies in the underground control room our crew joins a team designed to "handle the situation."
What they find is a student council president with somewhat anarchistic tendencies within the school and a mysterious figure that that was responsible for the zombies in the control room. With answers more questions pop up but how long will our main characters be able to survive with this mysterious new virus causing chaos through the campus. Only time will tell.
In the mean time members from the B.S.A.A.have noticed Professor Write has been missing for an unusually long time and decide to figure out where he is. In time they get some clues which should lead them to him but it might be to late already as things go from bad to worse before the end of the volume.
One of my fave moments of the book would have to be Ricky failing miserably at shooting at a zombie and stupidly shoves his hand into the zombies mouth to force it still while he finally gets a solid hit on them. :)

Picks right up where vol. 1 left off with Prof Wright and Ricky heading into the tunnels to find zombies, from there it goes downhill fast as Bindi shows up and is promptly attacked.
She thinks she sees her dead friend Nanan in the tunnels, but is quickly moved on to the next big set piece: an all out zombie attack on a school event resulting in the headmistress blaming Bindi for the attack to try to save face and protect the academy. And its revealed, in of course a brutal MCD fashion, that the hooded girl is What will Ricky do now, left alone to fight the monster with a pistol on the roof? And just who is watching all this go down? Meanwhile, Chris, Piers, and Merah are hot on Wright's tail as they attempt to find out where their missing colleague went.

I really like that this is defiantly off the game based lore and not the movies, or anything random thing like I've seen before. The movies weren't bad per say, but they're nothing like the games. I love the creatures and monsters from the game because their unique and different from the typical "zombie". And seeing what zombified creature you can make and give a plausible for virus to spread is super cool. Plus I love that in the this manga and games, the government didn't just collapse into nothing, they still there, still working, fighting, living. This manga really good at establishing that and I makes me very happy.

Un volumen con muchísima más acción, en la que se deja de lado la comicidad por parte de los protagonistas, para entrar en detalle en el desarrollo evolutivo del argumento base. Aquí comenzaremos a ver los ‘cabos’ de origen de éste, con fondo dramático, nuevos integrantes, esenciales para la ecuación final. Así como algunas que otra sorpresa por parte de los secundarios del internado.
Genial en su parte final, con comienzo de un interesante flashback para recabar datos , con especie de Tyrant de por medio y todo!!

Another great volume of this Resident Evil tale.
Not quite as good as the first one, but it carries right on from where the first one ended so you’re right in the action straight off the bat.
Don’t get me wrong though, this is a great story and it fills in more of the backstory. We still have the violence and gore throughout this volume, plus we get more than just zombies going on here too. On the whole it feels like a filler to cover the backstory and I’m looking forward to it kicking off in volume 3.
Deffo worth a look at these!

3.5/5, but I’m marking it as a 4 because of the fantastic cliffhanger ending. The first volume was definitely better. The scenes did not flow as well together in this one from panel to panel, and some of the detailing in the art made it difficult to tell what was actually going on. Also, not nearly enough Chris and Piers in this one. That being said, it was still a good continuation, and the cliffhanger ending was very very good and has me very excited to read the next one.

La historia continúa en donde se quedó en el primer volumen. Más acción y sangre, nuevos personajes, más historia. La BSAA tomará un poco más de protagonismo. No digo nada más por cuestión de spoilers.
Recomendado para aquellos que tengan conocimiento previo en la historia, pero igual puede ser disfrutada por todos.

Se lo robe a mi hermana y lo leí porque tenía que esperarla ya que no había traido algo mio, y como iba a tardar mucho dije ya fue.
Estuvo bien, convengamos que el primer tomo no lo leí, asi que mucho no puedo decir sobre que va porque recién lo entendí a la mitad, pero estuvo entretenido.

Marhawa-yksityiskoulun zombie-epidemian selvittely jatkuu. Tosin näiden zombien lainalaisuuksissa on jotain outoa; esimerkiksi kaikki pureman saaneet ihmiset eivät sairastu tai muutu. Zombiepidemian takana vaikuttaakin olevan jotain täysin uudenlaisia voimia.

Was done with this in 2 hours.
It gave a little backstory and some insight into the characters and I enjoyed this a bit more than the first.
Although the ‚thing‘ that happens a bit before another ‚thing‘ around the ending didn‘t make quite sense to me?? I did feel entertained but why tf would it play out this way? Like wha-

Sigue siendo sumamente introductorio, apenas medio empieza a pasar algo y nuestros personajes clásicos siguen siendo secundarios, historia rápida, eso se agradece, hasta ahora me gusta pero no me sorprende.

Obviously a franchise can have all sorts of characters, but it’s really frustrating to be reading a series specifically sold as a prequel to RE6 where the plot is not related and recurring characters are HEAVILY drowned out by new ones.
