My move to the small town of Bliss was supposed to be a new beginning. It was everything I’d dreamed about—the quaint downtown, a cozy little house to make my own, and miles of Vermont wilderness to explore just minutes away.
I never expected my dream to turn into a nightmare.
The man who seemed so nice in the beginning turned out to be anything but. So I broke it off, ignored his pleas to forgive him, and moved on with my life.
Except he wasn’t going to let me go that easily.
Now I’m his captive, and I learned the hard way what happens if I disobey him. But when he’s about to commit a crime against someone I know, someone I like… I have to do something, no matter the consequences.
She was the last person I expected to see.
I wasn’t afraid to confront the person breaking into my store.
As a former Green Beret, I’d faced far more dangerous enemies. But I wasn’t expecting to find a woman left behind, unconscious and injured. And not just any woman, but one I felt a connection with from the first time I met her. It didn’t make sense. Sweet, smart, beautiful Winter robbing my store? Possibly working with an accomplice who double crossed her?
Even though logic says maybe, my gut says no.
When she tells me her story, I’m even more certain. Winter’s not a criminal, but an innocent woman. A woman whose captor is still out there.
There’s no way I’m letting him hurt her again.
Mountain Hero is the first book in the Green Mountain Guardians series. It has a protective alpha hero, a brave and sweet heroine, a team of former Special Forces, lots of twists and turns, action and danger, forced proximity, and plenty of sweet and steamy moments. Happily-ever-after guaranteed!
(And expect some cameos from the Blade and Arrow Security team as well!)
Gia Cobie is a librarian and author living in upstate New York. In her spare time, Gia enjoys reading and spending time in the Adirondacks. She loves romantic suspense and paranormal romance, and also has a weakness for reality romance shows, wine, and buying way too many books!
I love a protector MMC and Enzo was just that! I wish we had gotten a little more details about Enzo and his team and exactly what they did to protect the people they love, but even with those parts just glossed over, I really enjoyed this book and HEA.
I felt this was just a bit basic, cliche and I wasn't invested (took a few days to get through where a book this size I read in a day normally) there wasn't a lot of depth to the characters in my opinion when there should of been a lot with the themes in this book. The tension was less tension and more this is going to happen we're just going to be sweet about it. The plot is defo one I would of loved had it been done right, but for me the pacing was off and the love was a bit to quick and instant even though it didn't make sense for the characters I would of happily read another 200 plus pages so it could of been time lined better and had a deeper look at the characters pov's.
The turns are good I was reading going hang on what's going to happen I've got too much book left for where the characters are. I can see here's a lot of connecting books with the characters in this book, which is great to see.
This book wasn't for me but defo a good read if you're looking for a 'he loves her!' Book and like the alpha and quick pacing not my cup of tea doesn't mean it won't be yours!
"Mountain Hero" by Gia Cobie is an exhilarating start to the Green Mountain Guardians series, combining heart-pounding suspense with a deeply emotional romance. From the picturesque setting of the small town of Bliss to the intense action sequences, Cobie crafts a story that is both captivating and deeply satisfying.
The plot centers around Winter, a woman seeking a fresh start in the charming town of Bliss, Vermont. Her dreams quickly turn into a nightmare when a seemingly kind man becomes her captor. Winter's resilience and bravery shine through as she navigates this terrifying ordeal. Cobie effectively portrays Winter's strength, making her a heroine readers can root for.
Enter the former Green Beret and store owner, who finds Winter injured and unconscious in his store after an attempted robbery. The connection between them is instant and compelling, adding a layer of depth to their budding relationship. Cobie expertly balances the development of their romance with the unfolding suspense, ensuring that both elements are given the attention they deserve.
The hero’s protective nature and his determination to keep Winter safe from her captor are both heartwarming and thrilling. The chemistry between them is palpable, and their interactions are filled with both sweet and steamy moments that will delight romance readers.
Cobie’s writing shines in the action scenes, which are well-paced and gripping. The danger feels real, and the twists and turns keep the reader on edge. The story’s forced proximity trope is handled deftly, creating an environment where the characters’ emotions can flourish and their bond can deepen.
As the first book in the Green Mountain Guardians series, "Mountain Hero" introduces readers to a fascinating world of former Special Forces heroes. The camaraderie among the team adds richness to the story, and the cameos from the Blade and Arrow Security team are a treat for fans of Cobie’s previous works.
"Mountain Hero" is a great read for fans of romantic suspense. Gia Cobie delivers a story with a perfect blend of action, danger, and heartfelt romance. Winter and her hero’s journey is one of courage, resilience, and love. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment in this series.

Gia gives us another cinnamon hero with a hard exterior but soft interior. Enzo can bring the alpha out to protect Winter but oh my heart does he melt for her. We get a beautiful story where excellent men fight evil to safe strong women from evil. You get romance, sizzles, love, camaraderie & suspense to hold you till the end. Brilliant start to this new series. Honest review.
Another good book in the series. Well, the start of a new series spinoff. Characters are likable, alpha and teddy bear at the same time, and protective. Several twists and turns and action/adventure heart racing scenes. I love when other characters pop in and some stick around to help out if needed.
In Mountain Hero, Enzo is the proud owner of his uncle's mountain gear store in VT. He meets Winter and is smitten right away. The next time he sees her is a completely different story and has his protective nature kicking in. I love watching these two get to know each other and take it one day at a time. I also love the added suspense to the story, too!
A great summer read. I look forward to the next book in this new series!
❤ Contemporary romance ❤ Romantic suspense ❤ Protector ❤ Military ❤ Small-town (in Vermont!) ❤ Protective former Special Forces hero ❤ Wounded, brave and strong heroine ❤ Forced proximity ❤ A team of Special Forces to have their six ❤ Twists and turns ❤ Sweet and steamy ❤ The mystery, secrets, kidnappings and danger they are thrown into ❤ Enough suspense, pain and emotional baggage to fill a room ❤ Fun cast of supporting – secondary characters that add to the story and development ❤ Engaging / riveting / gripping / gritty / addictive storyline ❤ Unpredictable twists and turns ❤ Page turner / suspenseful / fast paced
Mountain Hero is the first book in Green Mountain Guardians. The fast-paced, gripping, action-packed plot, along with strong protagonists, make this an outstanding and perfect story. The story revolves around a protective alpha hero and a brave, sweet heroine, supported by a team of former Special Forces operatives. It is filled with action, danger, and unexpected twists. Key elements include forced proximity and numerous romantic moments, leading to a guaranteed happy ending. Overall, it is an engaging and entertaining read that promises enjoyment from beginning to end.
The move to the small town of Bliss was intended to be a fresh start for Winter, filled with dreams of a charming community and beautiful nature. However, things took a dark turn when a man revealed his true nature, prompting her to end the relationship and attempt to move on. Unfortunately, he refuses to let her go, and she finds herself trapped, facing dire consequences for her disobedience. When she learns that he plans to harm someone she cares about, she knows she must act. Meanwhile, a former Green Beret, Enzo, confronts a burglar in his store, only to discover that the intruder is Winter, a woman with whom he feels a strong connection. Despite her situation, he believes she is innocent and is determined to protect her from her captor. The twists and turns, along with the mystery and intrigue, will keep readers invested in the characters and storyline. This beautifully crafted small-town, military protector, forced proximity tale features real and relatable characters whose relationship development takes them on an emotionally charged journey that is ultimately rewarding. I loved Winter's resilience, strength, and bravery, which were beautifully portrayed, as well as Enzo's protectiveness, kindness, and care. Enzo and Winter's connection is touching and honest, and their chemistry is sizzling. Enzo and Winter are amazing together—complex, flawed characters who are both hard-headed and stubborn. I enjoyed their development and growth. The pace of the story and the secondary characters add depth to their romance and plot.
This is a fast-paced and engaging story that balances romance, intrigue, and danger.
This is a beautiful love story between Enzo and Winter. Winter has just moved to the little town of Bliss for a new beginning. When she was a child, this is where her family would vacation, and she loved the area. This is in the middle of Vermont wilderness, and she could go exploring whenever she wanted to. She had met Enzo a couple of times before as he owned an outdoor equipment store, Rossi's Outfitters and she had been in to buy a few hiking supplies, and he had told her of good areas to hike and explore. Enzo had inherited the store from his uncle that was more like his dad and missed him terribly now that he was gone. Enzo was a former Green Beret, so he was away on missions a lot before his uncle had passed away and did not really know he was so sick.
Winter had dated a couple of times since she moved to Bliss. On guy Thomas was nice, and we went out a few times and then he hit me. That was it and I told him not to contact me again regardless of how many times he apologized. I did not see him again until one night when I woke up and saw someone standing above me, it was Thomas. He kidnapped me and took me to his house where I was his slave and prisoner. He kept me locked in the house all of the time. The windows were sealed shut and he took my cell phone. Since I was new to town no one really knew I was missing. Every time I tried to escape or spoke out, he would beat me. One night he had big plans, and he took me with him and left me in the car telling me to blow the horn if I saw anyone. He was going to rob a place and set it afire, the only problem is it was Enzo's store. When he went inside the building, I had my chance to escape but I could not let him burn down the store. I went inside trying to be quiet and looked for the office hoping to find a phone so I could call 911. I made the call and then Thomas came in and caught me.
I am lucky enough to be on Gia Cobie's ARC team and I will be happy to leave my review for this great book
Starts off really well but then it rapidly goes downhill, and at times is ridiculous
What a shame this wasn’t really good, as it started off really well, but then it got dreary and boring. The plot was ridiculous at the end as well, sadly I started skipping pages. This author is driving me insane with every man saying constantly, “Are you okay HUN?” “Oh HUN.” It’s never ending, and the other one, ‘Oh my heart.’ Enzo is more annoying though as he constantly asks her, ‘Is it okay if I hold your hand?’ YOU HELD IT YESTERDAY AND THE DAY BEFORE, WHY WOULD IT SUDDENLY BE A ISSUE? ‘“Can I touch you down there later?” For some reason that grossed me out. It’s not sexy at all. I get that he’s taking his time with her but that’s weird.
Enzo really likes Winter, but as he’s coming to terms with leaving the Green berets, and losing his uncle he feels it’s not a good time to ask her out. Winter really likes Enzo but her psychotic ex doesn’t want to let her go. This is where it starts getting really silly. Her ex kidnaps her and she lives with him unable to escape for either months or a month. (It changed.) When her ex breaks into Enzo’s shop Winter takes her chance and escapes. Enzo is shocked to find the woman he can’t stop thinking about in his shop, during a burglary. When he hears what happened to her he vows to protect her and moves her into his house.
At first he’s really sweet, but then the constant questioning himself becomes tedious. He’s constantly worried he’s pushing her too fast by holding her hand! I just wanted him to get on with it. In the meantime Winter is till in danger from her ex and nothing happens with that plot.
It was okay. Really boring in places and ridiculous in others. Sorry.
This is the first book in the Green Mountain Guardian series.
The storyline is very intense and has some triggers for some people.
Winter has moved to a small town named Bliss after visiting it in her youth. She needs a fresh start and thought this picturesque town would be a good start.
There she meets a guy who she thought was a good man, but soon finds out he is anything but. She is abducted and kept hostage by Thomas who just wants her to do his bidding and if she doesn't do something the way he wants, he hits her or beats her.
One night Thomas tells Winter to get in the car and he heads for town to rob a place. Winter has been to this store before and the owner Enzo inherited the store from his granddad, and she knows he is a good person. Thomas leaves her in the car as a lookout telling her she better not move and to honk if she sees anything. She decides right then that she is going to try and find a phone to contact the police and Thomas ends up finding her in the store. He knocks her out and leaves her behind.
Enzo comes in after the police and she babbles on and on that she didn't want anything to do with this and Thomas has kept her prisoner.
Winter and Enzo become closer when he has her move in with him after the break-in as she is so scared that Thomas is going to find her again.
As times goes on, they both know they have feeling for each other, but of course there is always danger looming.
This is a fantastic story, and I won't give anything else away, just know it is a Must Read.
'Mountain Hero' is the first book in Cobie's new series, Green Mountain Guardians. It was nice to see some of the characters from her Blade and Arrow series pop into the story. Winter wanted a fresh start and moved to the lovely town of Bliss. She met a man who seemed kind and caring, and they entered a relationship. However, Thomas was quite the opposite. He basically kept her prisoner in his home and abused her both physically and emotionally. Prior to meeting Thomas, she had visited the main character Enzo's hiking store, and he was attracted to her but didn't act on it.
Thomas had a plan to rob Enzo's store and set it on fire and forces Winter to be his lookout. She sneaks into the store to call the police and is found by Thomas, who leaves her unconscious on the floor and flees. Enzo gets to his store and finds her unconscious. When she comes to, she tells Enzo that she had been a prisoner, and her story unfolds. As a former Green Beret, his first instinct is to protect her.
As their relationship deepens, the layers upon layers of complexity and deceit begin to evolve. The story is gripping, as one nasty surprise after another is disclosed and dealt with by Enzo and Winter. Cobie has a real gift to craft a story that comes alive for the reader. I can't wait for the next installment!

Gia Cobie opens up the story of her new team set in the Vermont mountains with the heroine escaping captivity to stop her captor’s evil intentions to destroy the hero’s business. Enzo is a retired Green Beret who finds Winter unconscious in his store after he was called about a 911 call. His gut tells him she had nothing to do with the break-in and destruction. Once she is released from the hospital, he takes her home to protect her from the man who held her captive for over a month.
Enzo enlists the help of his former army buddies to protect Winter and as they go about tracking down the man who took her, Winter and Enzo find themselves falling in love. Of course, it being Gia Cobie, she throws a twist at the end, which I should’ve seen coming, but I didn’t! No more spoilers other than to say, Enzo getting his friends together to help save Winter leads to them forming the Green Mountain Guardians. Cameos from the Blade & Arrow crew as well as the Colorado Brotherhood Protectors tie this book into the Brotherhood Protectors world nicely.
I can’t wait to see how this series plays out. Having lived in Vermont, I know there isn’t a whole lot of action there in terms of population and large cities, but there is a lot of wilderness bad guys can use to hide so I am excited to see where Gia takes this new series. I just know it will be as good as her others!
A wonderful first book in the series, wonderful characters and scenario that you’ll be captivated by Mountain Hero by Gia Cobie was a simply spectacular book to read and I guarantee that you like myself will be captivated by this simply wonderful read, the story has been so cleverly written and I am sure that the story will be limited by your imagination and curiosity as you decide what you will be expect to happen between Thomas and his plan to rob Enzo’s store. Winter had wanted a fresh start and had decided that she would leave her current home and unfortunately had become a prisoner in the beautiful town of Bliss. Thomas was holding her prisoner after he had decided that she will be a good lookout for when he breaks into Enzo’s store where he had proceeded to leave her unconscious body which Enzo had subsequently found and cared for her. As the relationship between Enzo and Winter deepens, she tells him of how she had been held as a prisoner by Thomas and then forced to break into Enzo’s store which had all been against her will and she was pleased that his plan had been thwarted. I guarantee that you will enjoy this story which is complex and superbly written, I guarantee that like myself you will find it impossible to put down until you reach the end and discover the outcome. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
So many new beginnings in this book, there is trauma, danger and heartbreak, but there is so much more.....hope, love, forgiveness, destiny, purpose, acceptance, new challenges and an unexpected future. Winter finds herself in a terrifyingly dangerous place but she still puts the welfare of others before her own safety and it is this thoughtful and selfless demeanor that Enzo is drawn to. He is a protector, he knows nothing else, and seeing Winter put herself in danger to protect others steals every breath in his body and destroys him. But it also earns his respect, she is so much stronger than anyone believed, including herself, it is a strength that earns her a place in your heart, Enzo's heart and his teams. I love the crossover with the Brotherhood Protectors and Blade and Arrow, and I really love seeing the birth of Green Mountain Guardians. I cannot wait to see more of these dinted and damaged protectors as they find their new mission in life....loving their soul mates. They will all fight the fall, but once they give in and accept fate, they fall hard, fast and forever. I read this on Kindle Unlimited, this is book one in the series and book two is out on Tuesday.
Winter Clarke was so looking forward to her move to Bliss, Vermont. She had visited there as a child and knew that the small-town atmosphere was for her. However, she hadn’t planned on Thomas, a man she briefly dated and who now is in control of her life. She had met Enzo, a former Green Beret, the owner of Rossi’s Outfitters and sensed that he was a good man and perhaps they might become friends, but that was before Thomas. When she learns what Thomas has planned, she is able to warn the police, even at the risk of her own life. Enzo has stepped in to make sure that she is safe and as they spend time together, is this maybe a beginning for them or is he just showing his appreciation for saving his business? Unbeknownst to them, there is someone else besides Thomas who is targeting both of them, but Enzo has a vast array of former military teammates who are more than willing to end the threats to both of them. A heroine who is willing to fight for the life she deserves with the man she loves and a thrilling beginning for the Green Mountain Guardians. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
Another great book by Gia, this one has a young woman named Winter who unfortunately has been kidnapped by a man (if you can call him that) who is verbally and physically abusive to her. He uses her as a scout when he wants to burn down Enzo’s store. She just can’t let him do it and ends up foiling his attempt and ends up in the hospital for her attempt. There is definitely PTSD for her as Thomas the abusive man is still out there, and police have no leads as to where he is. Enzo steps in and offers to take care of her and being a former Green Beret he seems well equipped to do so. They have many bumps and trials as they negotiate her safety and fall in love with each other. Enzo is a true gentleman waiting for Winter to be comfortable and never pushes her, but Winter wonders if he finds her attractive. They get it together and all is good but not without some heart stopping events. Gia just gets better and better and the blending of the different series is awesome. Five stars all the way.
Mountain Hero is the story of Enzo and Winter finding HEA while facing some kind of danger along the way. Enzo is former military who stuffers from PTSD this results in him struggling to accept love of relationships as good for a while, chooses friendships. Winter and Enzo’s relationship changes throughout as she shows her ability to handle the more difficult times considering his PSTD. The plot of Mountain Hero by Gia Cobie is the perfect balance to the character driven narrative which occurs. Gia Cobie’s writing of Enzo and Winter’s complex story and handling of PTSD is excellent done. The character driven narrative is exceptional and is the primary focus in Enzo and Winter’s story. I highly recommend 4.75 star read Mountain Hero by Gia Cobie. If you’re new to the Thor this gives you a great idea of her writing style. If you’ve just never read this series, Winter and Enzo romance is wonderful.
This book kept me on the edge of my chair. I absolutely love the Brotherhood Protector books! This one did not disappoint. Winter is such a brave woman, to go through all the horrible things she went through, to be brave enough to do what she knew was right and still be able to somehow trust someone she barely new to protect her is absolutely amazing. I wish I had even have her courage!! Enzo has been attracted to Winter for awhile, but never approached her for a date. When he finds her in his store needing help, ever instinct he has tells him to protect this woman. Just when they think the danger has pasted, think again. My favorite scene was definitely the gazebo, just wow!! Wonderful Book, just couldn't put it down. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
(3.5) New start for the Green Mountain Guardians and another addition to the Brotherhood Protectors World. Love small town Bliss Vermont. I use to live up North and reading this was like going home. Sadly the all to real obsessive relationships that occur in the world is part of Winters story. Winter has an inner core, inner strength and compassion. Enzo, our ex Green Beret, surprisingly took a bit for me to warm up too. I am all for alpha males having compassion and vulnerabilities, Enzo had those in spades and lacked a little Green Beret for me. Loved seeing previous team members and the unity of having their 6. Many thanks for a copy of Mountain Hero! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #MountainHero #BrotherhoodProtectorsWorld #GreenMountainGuardians #GiaCobie #TwistedPagePressLLC #Booksirens
This was a great read by a new to me author. Mountain Hero features a cinnamon roll alpha protector whose instincts all lead to our traumatized heroine, Winter, and her journey of healing with a well played out forced proximity trope.
Cobie writes a well paced book with action to keep you engaged while allowing Winter to heal and a relationship to bloom with her alpha protector. She keeps the balance between romance and suspense, allowing Winter's story to shine.
I also loved how she builds her stand alone series, and pulls in cameos from her other series. I can't wait to read the rest of her books and learn more about this world she's spent so much time building and planning. I definitely recommend this book!

Written in Elle James’ Brotherhood Protectors world, this first instalment brought all the heat and tension it could hold.
When Winter needed assistance, Enzo was there and never left her side. They were in the country (or mountains technically) but bad people weren’t only found in the city. In this twisty romantic suspense, mystery surrounded their enemies but Enzo and Winter were not going to let danger win. Instead, they fought her fears and memories to not only survive but grow closer. Winter deserved Enzo’s protection and care, while his sweet spirit deserved her devotion and love…
This author once again wrote a tension-rich story filled with action, family and friendship. And, of course, love!
*I happily reviewed this story **Thank you to the Author and BookSirens
This book is the first book in the Green Mountain Guardians and it sets up the series perfectly. The storyline is intense and riveting full of kidnapping, abuse, suspense, forced proximity, chemistry and brotherhood found family. This author can keep her readers enthralled and enticed on the edge of their seats working through her twists and turns. This is Enzo and Winter's story and what great characters they are. Enzo an ex- Green Beret and Winter who just wants a new home and new start. They both have pain in their past and their chemistry is off the chart and they are perfect for each other. Secondary characters make this story flow perfectly towards a HEA. You will enjoy these characters and story and be ready for the next book in the series.
Winter can't understand how she got into the situation she's in, she's a strong independent woman but Thomas, her ex, has kidnapped her and kept her as his slave, threatening retribution if she escapes. As she was new to town she's not been missed. An opportunity arises and she takes it, but now where to hide? Enzo met Winter, at his shop, and was attracted to her but was still processing his life so didn't ask her for a date, but wishes he did. When he next sees her he wants to help somehow. He feels protective and wants to support her. Will she accept that? Has Thomas left the scene?

This was such a brilliant book. Enzo and Winter were very sweet but great together.
Being held hostage in an abusive relationship, Winter Clarke gets dragged to a break in at a store owned by Enzo Rossi, an ex military soldier.
Suspenseful, dramatic and a real sense of danger with non stop action make this a must read. Winter and Enzo show an appreciation of each other but that love grows over time. But as the trouble brews and the guys all gather around to protect Winter, their love really blooms.
Very well done. I'm really enjoying this series. The team spirit and the characters connections sells the story for me. A real romance amongst the suspense.
A compelling and addictive start to this new series by Gia Cobie. As always she gives a well paced storyline with a perfect balance of suspense and romance. Winter has moved to Bliss and finds herself kidnapped and abused by a man she briefly dated. Enzo, who has left the military to take over his Uncle’s business after he passed, finds Winter injured in his store after a break in. Their slow burn love journey is full of heart stopping moments, abuse, danger, forced proximity, chemistry, sweetness, doubts, protectiveness, bravery, brotherhood, found family and twists that keep you riveted. Looking forward to more in this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is my first book to read by Gia Cobie and I'll definitely be checking out some of her others. I received this book as an ARC to read and review. Overall I really enjoyed Mountain Hero (Green Mountain Guardian #1). I love small-town romances and alpha protectors. Becoming part of their friendships and bonds that are built through the pages. ❤️ Their relationship is fast and intense due to Winter's circumstances, her boyfriend holding her captive. I enjoyed the emotion in the building up of Enzo and Winter's relationship. My only complaint is Enzo's use of "Ah" and Ah, Hun" constantly...kind of makes my eye twitch. But that's pretty minor and won't keep me from reading her other books.
Winter had had tragedies in her life - not the least of which were losing her parents and attracting Thomas’ attention - but despite that, she had a loving, nurturing relationship with her Aunt Linette, a best friend Violet, and then she met Enzo. Winter and Enzo had both experienced loss, but together they built each other up. Enzo proved over and over that he would go to any length and make any sacrifice to protect Winter and be worthy of her love. Good heat, good romance and angst, lots of action and suspense. A very enjoyable read.

Winter and Enzo's story is the first book in the Green Mountain Guardians series that is set in Elle James Brotherhood Protectors World. Be still my heart! I absolutely adore Enzo and Winter together. Winter has been through so much since moving to Bliss and Enzo will to anything to keep her safe and cared for. He is kind, caring, thoughtful, and very protective. Winter is terrified of her ex who kidnapped her and held her hostage. She doesn't trust her judgement when it comes to men but there's something about Enzo that draws her in and makes her feel safe. Can't wait to get my hands on the next book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Mountain Hero is an engaging start to the Green Mountain Guardians series that sets in the small town Bliss. The protagonist, Winter, moves to Bliss seeking a fresh start in her life but quickly finds herself trapped in the dangerous situation. As things spiral out of control, Enzo, a former Green Beret, steps in to protect Winter, and it brings an intense dynamic to the story. The writer skillfully balances heartfelt moments with thrilling action, passion and emotional depth between Enzo and Winter. It all makes the story a page-turner and keeps you rooting right to the end.
Thank you BookSierence for this ARC and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
Winter moved to the small town of Bliss but by dating the wrong man, she experienced the opposite. Her ex, abducted her and kept her hostage without anyone knowing. I’m not a fan of stories with abuse and this one definitely has its share. Thankfully it also includes real men who know about protecting others. Winter and Enzo experience a lot in a short period of time but they are both strong characters who are made for each other.
