"The Asylum of Apostles" by Monique Müge is a gripping debut novel that kept me eager to turn the pages. The story of Kate Alonso, a woman accused of murdering her famous author husband, is filled with unexpected twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end.

The characters in this book are complex and well-developed, particularly Kate and the two men she befriends in the asylum. Their relationships and interactions add depth to the story and kept me engaged throughout.

The setting of the asylum adds an eerie and mysterious atmosphere to the story, and the addition of visions of Kate's dead husband and the enigmatic doctor who runs the facility only adds to the suspense and intrigue.

Overall, "The Asylum of Apostles" is a fast-paced and thrilling read that I would highly recommend to fans of psychological thrillers and mystery novels. Müge's writing is engaging and immersive, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

What a debut! I could not put it down from the moment I picked it up. Each character is beautifully fleshed out and the twists in the story were completely unexpected. Cannot wait to read more from this up and coming author.

Arlo’s wife has grown weary of him. She’s right to be weary. Arlo’s a class one d*ck! He controls her every move, yet doesn’t want to spend any time with her.
But Kate wakes up one morning and everything changes. She finds her husband, murdered in his office.
I loved the relationship between Kate and Agnes during the early stages of the story. It was so heartwarming. Religious and cosmic horror is weaved with skill throughout this story and I ate it up! Such a clever story, fast paced and finished in one sitting!
