This book had a typo on every single page. I'm not exaggerating. By the second half of the book, I made a game of finding them for each page. If one page didn't have any, the next page had 2. I don't mean little oversights. I mean like "bear hands" and spending "require" with a T instead of an R. One sentence was so impossible, I sent it to one of my writer friends. We have yet to make sense of it.
The poor editing and formatting aside, the book was very informative. I finished it in about two or so days. If you can make it through the typos, I recommend it for newby RVers.
As a heads-up for fellow cat people, the pet section doesn't even the mention the word cat. It's all about dogs. No mention of litter boxes or any feline tips.
What you will find is mostly information about maintenance of your rig, staying safe and how to improve it for long-term use.
My husband and I are looking to buy a used travel trailer in the not-so-distant future. I gathered some different books to acquaint myself with RVing.
There were some interesting tidbits in this book but I actually found a couple of other books more helpful - "The Complete Idiot's Guide to RVing, 3e" and "The RVer's Bible: Everything You Need to Know About Choosing, Using, & Enjoying Your RV(1997)."
This book wandered quite a bit and it just seemed to be a hodgepodge of tips thrown together with no rhyme or reason. It was kind of hard picking out relevant, useful info.
Great advice and tips! As a novice/first time RV'er, this book provided a lot of useful information and handy tips. I feel much more confident now about our upcoming first tim ever RV trip. Thank you both!
I learn something every time I read this type of book. This is a great book for people who are new to RV'ing and the book has some good tips and review for experienced RV'ers.
Lots of great info. As a new RV owner I would say this book will come in handy as time goes on. My only complaint is some info is slightly outdated, and there are a lot of "repeat" tips.
