Three stars because this book is more about holistic healing and new age spirituality than what I’ve read in other books about curanderismo. Or what I was looking for in a book about latine herbalism. I know about Ayureveda and reiki and I’m sure curanderas are well rounded by having that knowledge and understanding and seeing the similarities across eastern, western and Latin holistic healing methodologies, but if I wanted to read a book about those modalities I would have done so. I don’t know I was just expecting more from this book because of the other curanderismo books I’ve read. I especially liked The Curanderx toolkit. I did like the recipes she shared though.

not as in depth into latine herbalism as i wanted but it’s a great primer and introduction. i wish though, all of the text were dedicated to latine herbalism. at time it felt hodge podgy and compare and contrasty to other herbolic modalities.
